The Alt Reserve was built for collectors, by collectors. We created The Alt Reserve out of our love of Pokémon's nostalgia, art, strategy, and search for masses of people across multiple generations. That love is at the centre of everything we do. However, while we love Pokémon, we don't love seeing genuine fans pushed aside by mass-buying bots and scalpers who clear out store shelves only to list those items again at a much higher premium. This is not what this hobby is about. Pokémon should be accessible to the average person, fun for everyone, and fair to everyone. The Alt Reserve was created with the idea of being anti-scalpers. When we can, we provide equal access to our products, we set reasonable limits on highly sought-after items, and we are most interested in building long-term relationships with customers and not maximising short-term profits. We would prefer to build a long-standing community of repeat purchasers than try to obtain a profit by chasing quick profits. All products are collected by us and are handled with the respect that collectors expect. No short cuts will be taken, no artificial hype will be created. Products exist for true fans and for true Pokémon players and collectors, and we are here to serve the players, collectors, and investors who appreciate the art of Pokémon and people who remember the day they opened their first pack.
