Terrible escalation handling for Ref # 28261 / SWCV64F014BC-1. The previous technician replaced dryer rollers last week but knowingly left a faulty idler pulley inside because he didn't have the part.... See more

They don't show up or communicate.

They were booked to come on a Monday and never confirmed or showed up. Called the company and they rebooked it for Wednesday. Never showed up. I called and was told the booking had been cancelled!! By whom?? not me! Do not ever trust or use this company.

Deeply Unethical

During the third visit, I was assured by the company that there would be no charge at the time of booking. This was true until, three weeks later, I received an invoice via email!

The technician allegedly identified a new issue and fixed it, despite spending only 30 seconds in my home and not mentioning any additional charges at the time of the visit. This is in stark contrast to the previous two visits where charges were communicated and collected on the spot.

To make matters worse, when I received the invoice, I was threatened by Whirlpool with collections if it wasn't paid.

This experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated with the unethical business practices of Appliance Pro+ and their parent company, Whirlpool Canada. I expected better transparency and integrity from such a reputed brand.

Another poor review

Another poor review ! Scheduled online an appointment for Kitchen Aid gas range. Tech game out on March 19, 2024 and told me that the control panel has to be ordered. It would be available in a week. Contacted the tech after 3 weeks and got no response. Called the company directly on April 11,2025 to tell me that someone had cancelled the appointment on March 19,2024, even though a tech came out. Gave them a second chance tone- schedule and they asked me now for my credit card which made me finally that this is a fishy company. Furthermore, not apologetic at all!

Shameless company. Another 'this is not us, this is a contractor'

First of all, as in early 90s, they are still requesting half-day waiting window (i.e. stay home and be available from 8 to 12),
Secondly and even more annoying: they don't think it is important for them to come..
Have been waiting today for 4.5 hours for the technician who did not appear. called them to see what's up, just to hear that the guy supposedly called me with no answer. (a) it is a lie, no one called and I stuck to my phone since 8am. (b) even if the did with no response, why not to call again? or again? give 2-3 attempts. maybe there is a line issue, maybe whatever.. It is not like they can come anytime I need..
Goes without saying that the call service rep had nothing to say.. book again..

Share Whirlpool has chosen a company with no respect to their job and their clients..

Fast, Friendly & Professional

Appliance Pros were professional from the initial call right to Adam our repairman. He phoned ahead to let me know when he’d be at my home - and when he needed to get a part we set up an appointment for a few days later & my washer was fixed. Thank you for saving Christmas for us!!!

First service call July 21

First service call July 21, no follow up as to what the next steps were. Apparently I canceled the repair????
July 26, I call and someone tells me the parts are on order and scheduled an appointment, which was immediately canceled over text.
Call back Aug. 4 ish am told no parts are ordered and I canceled the order???? Also keep in mind this washer was installed beginning of April and this is the second repair needed.
Now parts are going to take 6-8 weeks…
Sept.15 someone calls to day parts will be in on the weekend and to expect a call….. Oct.2 still waiting for someone to call and schedule the repair, 2 1/2 months with no washer and no follow up.

Rude and dishonest technicians

Technician was so rude and was only focused on replacing parts. Even before doing any diagnosis he suggested to replace multiple parts and wanted to leave in a minute. I requested him to at;east open my machine and check on which he became angry arguing that he is an expert. After heated argument , finally he opened my appliance and issue was fixed without any part replacement. They are not truthful in their service. Beware, do your homework first else they will bill you for anything.

If I could not give it any star I would

If I could not out a star here I would. $146, literally 5 minutes at home, pushing the malfunctioning on/off button several times…. Not much done … I don’t know what to tell you but at least you can turn the hood off if it refuses to go off downstairs with the breaker.
Never tried to look behind where the light and on/off button was encased ….I feel like if someone had just robbed me $146 on the street.
The worst part is that you feel you can keep getting away with scamming customers like this. Called the company and the only replied was “ our technicians are certified”
Absolutely awful experience.

Stay Away-You Been Warned!!!

Called Maytag repair as my washer wasn't working. Maytag sends a subcontractor. Total scam artists.
Comes in and looks at it for 2 minutes, says buy a new one and wants $140.00. 5 year old washer, really? I suspect that the crook that came in didn't even know how to repair a hang nail let alone a washer.
After calling maytag while he was there, Maytag said they would pay half of the cost of the parts. Repairman says he wanted to return the next day with another technician to check a second part as he need a hand as it was stacked.
Once he did this he said the other part needed to be repaired as well. He charged me $250.00 and said that would include all labour and he would return with the part.
I never saw him or my money again.
Only after reporting Whirlpool Canada to the Better Business Bureau, they sent back a second technician from another company who indicated that only the one part needs replacement. Due to being scammed out of my money the first time by The Appliance Pros, Whirlpool agreed to fix the washer for free, including parts, labour and taxes.
Don't call this company or expect problems.

Criminally incompetent!

My washer just needed a reset: unplug, hold power button for 5 seconds and then start button for 5 seconds before reconnecting. The technician told me my options were a $1200 repair or a new machine. I fixed it myself in 30 seconds by following repair advice on YouTube. To add insult to injury, I paid $150 for this incompetence. The first thing I asked him was if I needed to unplug the machine, and he told me no! Not sure if these people are totally incompetent or scam artists intentionally ripping people off, but either way they should be shut down. They also offer a written estimate as part of their service, but then refuse to provide one. Don't call them!

The technician comes in disabled the door checks water temperature says it’s not hot enough!! Reassembles the door and leaves! Door doesn’t close so have to redo his work. Dishwasher still kicks out but only when it goes to drying mode. So $150 later with no repair! Stay clear off these guys

The appliance pros guys are thugs!

The appliance pros who are authorized servicing company for Whirlpool products are absolutely thugs. We had recently scheduled an appointment to check my range and rangehood. They quoted charge of 129$ + 64$ to inspect the 2 appliances. The technician just touched few buttons of the range hood and informed that it cannot be repaired. He charged $129 for that. It is completely ridiculous. He checked the range and quoted the parts price. It was ok to charge for that and the visit. But the charge for range hood for nothing doesn't make sense. Please be aware while dealing with these guys.
