I use this company a lot

I use this company a lot. You cannot fault their products or their prices. What is surprising is that I took part in a large offer/order to enable the free gifts offered to be available. Got the product, no free gifts as promised. Contacted twice no response. Be careful when taking part in their offers

Great place to shop online

Great place to shop online. I found via a google search and well impressed with the stock and the items I ordered. I was a little
late in the day ordering but paid for next day being aware it would possibly be Monday. The business cannot control the delivery process but I was so pleased when the items arrived Saturday late in the day but that’s the postal system where I live.
It’s an independent business and and I’d certainly buy from them again.

Order direct for excellent service

Order direct for excellent service! I don't use Amazon, but these guys are absolutely amazing if you order direct, speedy delivery, well packaged and amazing value, they are my new go-to. I'm an art tutor btw so quality counts and the prices for professional quality goods are incredible.

Extremely Poor Service!!!

I ordered some items late on Friday afternoon, 21st February, and paid extra for express delivery (the next working day). I received an email on Monday, 24th February, at 07:25 informing me that the package had shipped, and I was expecting delivery today, 25th February. However, the tracking had not been updated during the morning. I sent two emails to this company but received no response. I subsequently managed to speak with someone late morning, and they said they would speak with the manager and call me back. I did not receive a phone call. Late afternoon, I received two emails from Amazon saying the package was running late and might be delivered on Wednesday, 26th February. I paid for express shipping to ensure it did not coincide with a hospital appointment on that date.
This is the first time I have purchased from this company directly, and it will also be the last. I refuse to spend money with a company that provides such poor service.

fast delivery…

I ordered several tubes of acrylic paint and a couple of other items. They were delivered the next day in a strong cardboard box. I will order again from the art shop

Who exactly is delivering my item??

Ordered item via Amazon on 28 April and normally service is excellent. This time it was dreadful due to firstly the Art Shop using something called Parcelhub which provides a tracking number which is not recognised by its own website; there is no information as to which carrier is actually delivering my item either.
I have tried to contact the Art Shop to find out who the delivery company is but they have not responded.
Dreadful service and I will not be ordering from them again.

Top marks for a class Act

' Top marks for a class Act '
I have used The Art Shop- Skipton a couple of times before and have been very pleased in every aspect, with the excellent service they provide. Having started painting again after a 25 year break it was important to me that I made the right choice when ordering supplies. Value for money is always a factor too, the Art Shop is difficult to beat in that respect. Whatever item I'm looking to buy. there are always multiple choices. The range of products they stock is vast.
This particular order was made on the behalf of my daughter by myself but kindly paid for by her grandmother. The watercolour's in a plastic box- with pallet seem to be of good quality. My daughter is very pleased with them, as she is with the pack of paint brushes. I encouraged her to buy some of her own because she has been taking and using mine- this past year or 2!
Well done Skipton, The Art shop. We are really impressed by the products you supply, the value of and the speed of dispatch. Top marks for a class Act,

AVOID!!

I have not yet received my item I wondering is this store is real or if it’s a scam and also if the good reviews are a scam too. The Royal Mail tracking order doesn’t even exist it’s extra long with strange digits. I ordered it ten days ago I’m aware of the strikes but I’ve ordered things 5 days ago and they’ve got here on time. I’ve tried calling in but it does to voicemail and actually says you can’t leave one as it’s full. Thank god I paid with PayPal so I can get my money back if I don’t I will take this further . Some one else had written a similar review so avoid at all cost !! As it seems like a scam site to me. Unless they don’t other with your order and just keep your money

Sorry to hear you have not yet received your order. I can assure you this was sent via Royal Mail. The tracking number you mention is a delivery confirmation number, this means it gives proof of delivery only once delivery happens.

I understand your frustration in not receiving your order. This is unfortunately caused by the Royal Mail strikes. What has happened is the item is in a backlog of parcels with other express services getting priority from Royal Mail. However this item was dispatched on time and is on its way to you.

I can also assure you we are not a fake business but a family run business in Skipton which was established in 1995, we hope to return to our normal levels of service soon.

We have received your email today and will be responding very soon where we hope we can keep an eye on this parcel and hope it works it's way through the backlog soon.

Please once again accept our sincere apologies for the delay to your parcel.

Was impressed by their efficient service

Was impressed, in these days of ‘Covid staff shortages, blah, blah’ to have an email the same day as ordering online informing me that my drawing items had already been despatched. They say they always attempt same day despatch. Excellent service.

Disappointing

Disappointing. Superb staff initially, the boss is not concerned with customer retention or putting right problems.
A customer is not a guinea pig to only learn from, customers also need to be treated with respect and if your business has fundamental flaws that are brought to realisation by a customer, then that customer should be recognised as having contributed to the future of the business. The resulting good reviews and feedback is priceless.
Some people are not like this, some are blinkered and dogmatic, without any desire to open their eyes and adjust their view to best benefit themselves. C’est la vie.

Did not receive item

Did not receive item. Contacted them by email, they said it was delivered, despite the postman not coming to my door for days. Sent an email saying I haven’t received and that I’ve contacted Royal Mail and they didn’t reply. No replacement or anything. I had to buy brushes of Amazon as I had a few pieces to do during my Christmas holidays from work. May I also add, I bought next day delivery postage, due to the urgency of needing the brushes. Didn’t arrive the next day or ever...Utterly disappointed from the support and customer service from Amy.

Great products, prices and customer service

I have used the Art Shop to order supplies online many times. Initially I did it via eBay, but more recently direct. I have always been impressed by their range of products, prices and speedy service. With the last order I needed help and information, so I contacted them by email. Amy was extremely helpful and patient with my various questions. My order was fulfilled perfectly. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Great online shop to get art supplies

Great online shop to get art supplies. I ordered a selection of marbling inks and a tub of marbling bath for much cheaper than I could have gotten elsewhere. The items arrived in a matter of days, well packaged and undamaged. Would highly recommend and will no doubt order from Skipton again.
