Absolute best team I have ever dealt…
Absolute best team I have ever dealt with in any industry. All my orders were sent quick, packaged well and any issues resolved immediately.
Beyond that, I requested for several items that weren't listed on the shop for my children - they went out of their way to source them and upload to their website so we can purchase whenever we need. Cannot recommend enough, especially to any Aussie expats in other countries - really gives you a taste of home. Thank you guys always.

Support was best I've received at any online shop in recent history! Big thank you to Guy and the team.
Awesome customer services
Awesome customer services and the quickest 2 business day shipping to New Zealand I have come across - thanks again!
Australian Food Shop - Great Company
I love Australian Food Shop - always professional, items are packed quickly and securely and they keep you up to date with progress emails. Great company and I’m happy to recommend!
Great experience
I live in America and order from this establishment from time to time to get my Australian needs. Their customer service is beyond top notch. There was an issue with shipment and they communicated with the postal agency to ensure that my package was shipped properly (2 weeks later, but shipped nonetheless). My package arrived and the chocolates that I ordered did not melt (due to a heatwave we were having). In addition, the chocolates didn't have an expiry date that was within the year. I will definitely be purchasing from this business again. Thank you Australian Food Shop for all that you do to ensure that the customer experience is satisfactory.
A Satisfied Customer
I have ordered items from AFS several times over the past several years. They are quick to package up the items and send them to the USA. They make every effort to fill the order or make substitutions, if necessary.
I highly recommend them.
Jealous no more...
I was jealous of my colleagues Bunnings Cap, and since Bunnings didn't work out here in the UK I had no opportunity to get one locally. After trying the obvious E-Bay route and disregarding the very tatty overpriced one available I turned to a wider truly global search and came across a brand new one available from, of all places, an online Food outlet!! The Australian Food Shop was willing and able to send me one and I was amazed how quickly it arrived! Thank you so much for your great and efficient service.
Fast friendly service.
Fast friendly service.
Only complaint is that the whole website is in USD despite being an Australian Business. For Aussies overseas in countries other than the US, it makes it harder to keep track of what the order will cost.

Ordering was easy, good selection of products. Great customer and delivery service . I always enjoy shopping at the australian food shop and will continue too.
Australian Goodies
What made it great was the yummy lollies and the biscuits that my wife had introduced to me from years past when she lived there. Thank you!

Massive price markups on all items.
The price markup on ALL products on this store simply turns me away.
I used to order from these guys when I couldn't resist the taste of home.... looking at the prices, you can see the local consumer cost for the items and compare it to what they sell them for.
A few good examples:
Woolworths
Shapes BBQ 175G = $2.00 AUD ($1.43 USD).
Australian Food Shop
Shapes BBQ 175G = $8.39 AUD ($5.99 USD).
That's a 318.88% markup.
Woolworths
Kettle Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream Potato Chips 165g
$6.00 AUD ($4.30 USD).
Australian Food Shop
Kettle Sweet Chilli & Sour Cream Potato Chips 165g
$16.74 AUD ($11.99 USD).
178.84% mark up.
To put it to you straight, this business model can easily have customers "order" while they go and buy the products possibly even cheaper than consumer prices, and then mark them up insanely high....then on top of that you have SHIPPING fees.
and in some cases "import taxes".
How can a store "being a mate" and I'll quote some of their advertising pitches:
"We pride ourselves on looking after and serving our customers"
While making a massive profit on all sales and overpricing them by up to 300%.
Do yourself a favor and look it up yourself. Compare the prices on their store to what you can get from the local shops. Either these people are doing the following:
Buying from Woolies and marking the prices up 300%+
Buying commercially and marking the prices up 450%+
There is no tricks or magic at work here, just people making a killer profit from people that can't get these items abroad.
Do yourself a favor, fly to Australia, bring an extra suitcase and fill it up with food and you'll save money, or even better, get your family or friends to ship to you.
To the Australian Food Shop:
Lower your prices, stop with the massive profits and maybe be a little more aussie about your business methods.
***UPDATE in response to Guy***
Hello Guy, I'll edit my review to reply directly to your response.
GUY: "Quite a bit happening here"
- Yes there is, but the main complaint is the massive markup on food items.
GUY: "Yes, we most definitely mark up our products, and have never shied away from this, nor have we hidden it from our site in any way."
- I didn't mention anywhere that your company hid it, I'm just calling it out as it is. I work in logistics, and international freight, I'm aware of the costs of shipping, insurance, and incoterms, but I'm also aware that with these prices you ARE making solid profits, and your expenses are clearly well paid for.
GUY: "They are crucial fees required for anyone wanting something sent from A to B, which customers will generally understand and appreciate."
- Since you've been shipping internationally for a decade, customers would appreciate if some information was available indicating potential import taxes.
GUY: "To be clear, we aren't sitting here with dollar bills coming out of our ears. We are a relatively small team, many of which are supporting young families, and our profits largely go toward looking after our staff, or back into the business."
- This can't be proven or disproven, but what can be proven is the mark-ups on your products on your website. The prices are HIGH and you know this, I'm not saying your business model is wrong, I'm saying that you folks charge an arm and a leg on your products, and because of this I will be avoiding future purchases, and bringing awareness to this.
GUY: "Your feedback is completely fair, but I trust you can see that there is a lot of energy and cost that goes into an operation like this, which is also a big reason why so many of our competitors have come and gone over the years - running a shop like this ain't easy."
- No argument there, but once again, you're a business, and you've decided to stick with this industry and service for a decade, so it's certainly profitable. You're not doing it out of the goodness of your heart, I get that your staff have "kids and families" so do customers. The prices are the issue here, so lets steer this back to the proven issue.
GUY: "We're glad to have looked after Aussie expats for 10+ years, and we won't be going away anytime soon."
- You've "sold" to Aussie expats for 10+ years, I wouldn't call massive prices looking after people. You'd be looking after Aussies if you lowered your profits a bit.

Update #3:
Thanks for your response. There was no argument — just a concerned customer pointing out prices that are, frankly, exorbitant.
I’m not seeking a back‑and‑forth, only clarity and accountability for the concerns I raised.
Since those weren’t addressed, I’ll maintain my review so future customers have the full context.
Wishing you well.

Great Tucker, Even Better Service
I actually found these guys pretty early on, and I’ve stuck with them since. Over time their range has shifted a bit (understandably — things change depending on what can be shipped internationally), but they’ve still managed to keep the good stuff where it counts.
My latest order had a few issues in transit — some damage and a couple of missing items — but once I reached out, Guy from the support team really looked after me. Quick response, no hassle, and he made sure everything was sorted properly.
That’s what stood out. Not that something went wrong, but how it was handled.
And on a personal note, being able to get things like Campbells Spaghetti Meat Sauce and proper Cadbury while living overseas genuinely means a lot. It’s a small thing, but it hits home more than you expect.
All in all, a really solid experience — good before, and now even better.
I’ll be back for another order soon.
