Washing Machine not installed @The Brick YMM

Just to clarify and address any confusion: the dryer wall vent was already correctly set up with a 4‑inch vent, which is the appropriate size. The issue arose when the delivery person removed the 4‑inch adapter and then stated that it would not work, creating unnecessary confusion.

Later, the WBH technician inspected the setup and confirmed that everything was in order. This raises a valid concern as to why the delivery person removed the adapter in the first place, as this action directly led to the current situation.

Given this, it is clear that this was a blunder on the part of the delivery person, and I do not understand why I am being asked to pay for the pickup of the washing machine. If any charges are to be applied, they should be directed to the individual whose actions caused the issue.

If needed, I am open to having the delivery person included on a conference call so that the facts can be clarified transparently.

Additionally, the washing machine was left in the middle of the aisle, making it difficult to access both the washroom and the bedroom, which caused significant inconvenience.

Please also let me know if you would prefer that I raise this issue with the other concerned agencies to obtain further clarity and help resolve the matter appropriately.

I look forward to your response and a fair resolution, as I should not be held financially responsible for an error that was not mine. Its the third day and the washing machine is still lying in the middle of the aisle in the house that has a narrow stretch and makes the washroom and bedroom literally inaccessible.

We live in rural Alberta and LOVE OUR BRICK STORE! The staff are professional and prompt in returning calls and ensuring we get the product we want ... at the best deal and in top-notch condition. Brian and his team at the Brick in Hanna, Alberta are always eager to help and go out of their way! Katherine, Nicky, and the delivery boys are truly the best. WE LOVE OUR BRICK STORE!

CANCELLED ORDER WITH NO EXPLANATION

Right at the onset of COVID lockdown my fridge broke. I ordered a fridge online through the bricks website. This is going back a few years so i'm trying my best to remember specifics, but i'm pretty sure it was to be delivered within a week. Knowing this we had groceries delivered which were going to go bad if the fridge was not delivered. We were counting on the brick when we clearly shouldnt have because the order was cancelled without explanation. I called the brick because replying to the email went nowhere. They did not at all take this seriously, I explained that we just brought home our newborn and the food we had delivered was going bad. They didn't give a crap and dragged their feet. I was not getting calls back, or replies to my emails. I went on twitter to put them on blast with nothing but the truth of my situation and THEY BLOCKED ME ON TWITTER! They never resolved this and they are literally THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I hope they go out of business immediately and i hope who ever made the call to block me on twitter as opposed to reaching out to try to fix the situation gets an incurable case of irregular daily diarrhea that plagues them for the rest of their days.

Terrible bed, terrible delivery, terrible service,

"The BROKE" , otherwise known as the Brick was a terrible shopping experience.

I purchased the extended warranty on a…

I purchased the extended warranty on a washer that I didn't use. I only bought this because I was told that if it weren't used I would get that money back as a store credit. Now that I was ready to go use this credit the rules changed and it now has a 90 day time period placed on it. So instead of honoring their word they chose to keep my money. Thieves. Don't buy anything from The brick. Costco has much better service.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience due to the lack of customer service. I placed an order online, and the authorization was processed through my bank, with $800 held as of Sunday. By Tuesday, I received an email stating that my order had been cancelled and that I would need to go into the store to complete the purchase.

What made this worse was that I was told I would have to pay the full $800 again in-store, with ID, while the original $800 authorization would still take 5–7 days to be released. This meant I would effectively have to pay $1,600 upfront just to receive my item, which is completely unreasonable.

I declined this option and was again told my original funds would be returned within 5–7 days, leaving my money tied up with no product to show for it.

As a result, I placed the same order with a competitor, who processed it without any issues and scheduled delivery within two days.

Overall, this was an extremely frustrating and inconvenient experience, especially compared to the smooth and efficient service provided by their competitor

My wife and I just purchased a leather…

My wife and I just purchased a leather sectional from the Brick in Edmonton South Common store. The sales rep was good but the delivery was terrible. They screwed up the instal, didn’t know what they were doing. We now can’t get it fixed for 2 weeks which is totally unacceptable. Just terrible Customer Service and if this sectional is not fixed to our satisfaction it’s going back. I would recommend avoiding the Brick
I just wanted to update my review and say that the brick stepped up and resolved my issues in a timely fashion. I will say that they should inform there shipping department to be more careful when pulling and packaging items for delivery. All of this could have been avoided with attention to detail. Also maybe trade n delivery drivers on how to install couches properly

Deliver defective product and don't back it

They delivered a defective stove to me. I went to the store to report it 5 days later, it took that long to notice since everything works but 2 of the stove burners do not heat correctly. They heat at 500f on the low setting. The brick would do nothing for me. Even after 2 weeks of me trying to get help from kenmore, the brick still would not intervene on my behalf. Once the sale is done, so are they! And after this review is posted i will get the email saying to send them details....yah been there, done that. They say they will have a manager call you and they never call! Do not shop here!

They are people that have no customer…

They are people that have no customer service experience and they do not treat their customers well. Ill never deal with the brick again....very dissappointed. I've learnt my lesson...

The Brick Follow-up

As a follow-up to our on-going experience with The Brick which is owned by Leon’s and as replied to through a Trustpilot post, we hope this will act as a cautionary tale to others. We did re-contact the Brick at review thebrick.com after seeing their reply to TrustPilot. It was sent to their Customer Experience Team, which appears to be one person since it was once again assigned to Priyanshi. This is the same person who showed little interest in our initial contact with them and told us to deal with Westinghouse /Roku for warranty and the reason for contacting the Brick after already communicating with Westinghouse with a disappointing outcome. The Brick contact was after Westinghouse waffled with the warranty (on a 3-month-old TV) and advised they would only consider honouring it once we had taken it to a recycling depot, possibly at our cost, supply them with a picture of its destruction, and then they informed us they definitely would not pick-up any extra costs, nor refund any taxes we had incurred if they agree to a refund. This time the Brick Customer Care redirected our concern to the Brampton store for them to deal with the matter. (why they have a corporate service only, to send to a store is beyond us) Within a few of days, a store representative phoned us, appearing ill prepared in the issue. We had already advised the Customer Care Team not to have them call unless they were prepared to offer a full refund (including taxes), or an exchange for the pixilating Westinghouse TV we have. Apparently, the store wasn’t given the latter instructions and the representative advised we must contact Westinghouse directly. Westinghouse does not have representation in Canada, as we once again explained to this person. Long story short, she said she would have to ask her manager to get permission for an exchange or refund of the purchase. She also indicated if we had purchased the extended warranty this whole thing could have been avoided, since they use a third-party insurer who would have had to cover the warranty. Well over a month now and we never heard anything back from the Brampton store Manager. In general, throughout our journey we have found Darci Walker, President of the Brick and part of the LFL Group (generally a monopoly with Leons Furniture), their Customer Experience Team rep Priyanshi, nor the Directors who were e-mailed are interested in providing decent care in assisting the customer, once they have their money, which we gather keeps their stockholders happy. Once again, we thank Trustpilot for providing this forum to give other future customers an insight as to what they may experience. We believe the Competition Bureau of Canada investigated both the Brick and Leons in 2024 for some of the issues we have experienced and it doesn’t appear much has changed.

They are legal thief

Please do not get full when you see on the review that they answer that famous generic response, i did contact them and they make you chase your tail, they mentioning that somebody from the store will call you bla bla bla and when you say that they did "well there is nothing i can do we standby the manager decision " So they sale you blind and if you open the box they do not take it back, how are you suppose to know if it's ok or work for your needs if you do not open the box.

They are a real JOKE

Complete gong show

Complete gong show. Expect an additional 2 or 3 weeks on anything you order. I've been waiting 5 weeks for a coffee table that comes in 2 pieces. The manufacturer shipped 1 piece. It's waiting for a full truck to ship the 2nd piece. Because shipping a complete product is way too logical. Someone make this make sense to me.

Incompetent companies

MAR 13, 2026 (NOW) MAY 10TH, 2026. Their reply said to contact them, did that and they NEVER replyed. Very crooked company.
Last Time Shopping with this outfit. Bought a GALANZ Freezer ($800+$150 Extended so total $950). Discovered its a Piece of Junk. "DO NOT BUY" The Brick uses King and State as its insurance company for their deceptive Extended Warranty. Then the freezer died 3 months after the Warranty expired. Had to use the Extended Warranty, and it took 33 DAYS to fix the freezer. The fan died as well as the main board, took the repair guy 4 times to come back. We lost over $700 worth of meat before we realized it was dead. NEW Total $1650 for a worthless piece of junk and zero customer service. To make it worse, GALANZ IGNORED us, and when they responded, they refused to answer any questions.
Here is the chain of Incompetent companies that demonstrate ZERO accountability and Customer service.

Misleading Sales and Defective Product

I purchased a Silas bedroom set from The Brick in Okotoks, Alberta, with the salesperson Shelley recommending the dresser. The dresser drawers would not close properly, and the manager acknowledged that all Silas dressers were defective but refused to provide a refund or an adequate remedy. This constitutes a highly unsatisfactory and misleading sales experience.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. We have had the WORST experience with The Brick & recommend NEVER shopping at this store. We bought a dresser & bedside table set in December & paid in full. Then were told that it wouldn’t be delivered until mid January. It was not delivered until end of January. Then, once we unpackaged it, we discovered that one of the drawers wouldn’t open due to it being damaged. More phone calls & more waiting until a third party ‘technician’ came, only to tell us that a part had to be ordered to replace the slider. More waiting. Told it would be resolved by late February. No call from them so we called & they said no part now until early March. And today they said the wrong part was ordered so now we have to wait for a replacement for the dresser which won’t be available until mid March. We paid IN DECEMBER. At the start of these problems we said JUST REPLACE IT & they said No. Then they offered a $50 credit which they’ve now rescinded. This is why people order from online companies like Wayfair. The Brick can offer all the deals they want, but they can’t deliver on their promises and their follow through on customer service is laughable. I will be posting this as a review in every place I can. People should be warned NOT to shop at your stores or online with The Brick.

Tamanna made it happen.

Tamanna made our visit to the Brick Store on Upper James St. in Hamilton an easy one. We were looking for a microwave oven and she professionally demonstrated one we were interested in. Extension cord and all. Very patient and knowledgeable.

This isn’t so much about their…

This isn’t so much about their furniture but about their delivery service! The delivery person drove over our lawn in our complex but when we finally figured out it was them they said they only accept claims within 48 hours! Our lawn maintenance service had pics of it but we were still refused to have it fixed!!!

The service was very good. The staff was accurate on product representation, pricing was comparable or less then competitors. The appliances arrived on time and in good shape. The only downfall is as a retail store I think the product should be in stock, otherwise I could order online. Not good for them.
