Not good service from Mary the Manager

I went with 3 other guests to The Cheesecake Factory because my mom was in town from Florida and we had a bad experience with an unpleasant manager by the name of Mary on 6-11-2024 around 8 pm this day. I had a 10% coupon off to use for my order that I asked Mary the manager about and she refused to let me use the coupon. I will never return to this restaurant chain and will tell others about this experience we had as well.

Had Sunday breakfast where we ordered…

Had Sunday breakfast where we ordered an omelette to share. It came with the choice of a side of potatoes OR freshly sliced tomatoes. We asked for the potatoes as the free side but my wife then asked if she could also have some fresh sliced tomatoes. The waiter only said yes and departed. At the meal’s end, he brought the bill and I paid for it not really looking at the bill and we left. At home I looked at the bill and there was a $4.95 charge for the potatoes and no charge for the tomatoes. I looked at the menu to see if they had tomatoes listed as a side dish but they didn’t. The waiter, without telling us, decided to charge us for the potatoes and to use the tomato request as being the omelet free side dish. I then wrote an email to the restaurant about the absurdity of it all. A few days later a CCF employee (non manager) called me about what had transpired and her only question was, “did we expect to receive the tomatoes at no charge?” My response was that we expected to get the potatoes with our omelette at no charge and if there was going to be a charge for tomatoes, that the waiter should have told us there would be a charge and what the charge would be, which never happened. She just kept repeating her original question and the conversation devolved into absurdity. We have been diners at CCF since they first opened their doors in Washington DC decades ago and have never had this experience. We are happy to pay for things when we are told there would be a charge, but when we aren’t told there’d be a charge, we don’t think it’s our responsibility to ASSUME there will be a charge through some machination that the waiter takes upon themselves to use to charge us using some inane ridiculous thought methodology.

I was celebrating my daughter's 14th…

I was celebrating my daughter's 14th birthday. There were 9 people, one baby. Dinner was fine. Waitress was good and attentive. Everything went well until the Bill came out. It did not add up correctly. We had ordered Cheesecake that was never given to us. There were drink orders from the bar on the receipt that should've been on the bar tab separately. When I spoke to the manager, he was rude and aggressively told me that the bill was correct and that he was not going to change it. I asked for a menu so I could itemize everything we had and he stood over me and kept saying I was wasting my time that the bill was correct and that I HAD TO PAY MY BILL. After about 20 minutes of going back and forth he finally agreed to redo the bill and itemize things so I could understand and sure enough it was incorrect as previously stated with items on there that we never received and a bar tab that should've been separate. My mother told the manager that he was rude and we were owed an apology he replied " For what? I don't owe you anything". He then walked away. So we went up to the front to pay our corrected bill and he came up running and made a scene like were trying to walk out on the bill. Luckily my daughter and her friends had went outside to take pictures to not have to see that embarrassing scene he caused and ruin her birthday celebration. He is not in the right position. He has no manners, is extremely rude and does not handle issues with customers well at all. We spent over $400 and he treated us as if we were less than decent paying customers. I will not return to this location.

They charged my card $10 for a tip…

They charged my card $10 for a tip WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!! This was my sons favorite restaurant, but I WILL
NEVER be back. Forcing people to pay a tip is a horrendous business practice. The dinner was expensive enough and all I had in my account so I could take my kids to a nice meal once just for them but you all ruined it and you screwed my account. So way to go Cheesecake Factory thanks for nothing!!!!

Why it’s small Proportion of the food now

I love this place the food always amazing but they change the proportion of the food. I used to order mac & cheese balls and they always nice full of macaroni and big size and delicious. I went yesterday and it was a bite-size. They were super tiny full of cheese. We barely see any macaroni inside I love also Parmesan chicken sandwich and they give me half of it and they cut it in triangle to make it look huge and the chicken is very very little inside. What happened to my to my cheesecake factory I’m really sad.

Cold food

Wrong wine delivered. Then cold food to myself and my partner . No word of sorry and eventually served warmish. No talk of reimbursement or adjustment . Don’t think I will be going back.

Took my husband to the Cheesecake…

Took my husband to the Cheesecake Factory in Nashville and we ordered appetizers, dinner and cheesecake to go. The appetizers were alright, my "fish and chips" were absolutely horrible! $23.00 for dried out ,2 inch pieces of fish. Being that it was his birthday I didn't want to complain and ruin the experience, but I called the restaurant, spoke with a manager and he didn't have any remorse and didn't even acknowledge the awful dinner. He said I should have spoken up when it happened. I thought he might have offered a slice of cheesecake to replace this awful experience, but nothing. Won't be going back. Definitely not worth the money.

Great experience

My husband, son and I visited the Gainesville, fla. location for Mother’s day. It was extremely busy. The food was great. I had lightly breaded chicken with lemon sauce, mashed potatoes and asparagus. Our waitress was Miss Hellen. Even though she was very busy and had just had a painful injury on her foot, due to moving our table, she was a very gracious and attentive waitress. She recommended my dish and it was so good, I plan to order it again soon. Miss Helen made our visit even more special. Thank you Miss Hellen and Cheesecake factory for helping to make my Mother’s day celebration with my family extra special. 💕

I am late giving this review, pardon me please

I am late giving this review, I have been out of town & then someone in my family was sick & then I caught what they had & I have been sick too, oh well!
My husband & I decided to have a "Date Day" & go to eat at the Cheesecake Factory at the Summit in Birmingham, AL. We live approximately 2 hours away & this is not a place that we frequently visit. We have only been 3 other times in the 36 yrs that we have been married, we just don't visit or shop in this area. This was on 3-23-24 at 4:30 PM.
I must say this was the worst & MOST EXPENSIVE experience ever! 1st, after waiting 1 hr. & 15 mins, I told my husband to lets go, I was tired of watching other people get seated that came in after us. He went to check & see what the problem was & the "boy" that took his phone #, said that he had called him 45 mins ago, & since he didn't answer, we go to the bottom of the list now! He asked the boy to check the phone # he gave him & this young fellow had keyed in his phone # incorrectly!!! So now, we are the next one in line for a table, well... no we are not!!!! They kept sitting people, I am getting more and more angry & just as I am about to leave my husband and this restaurant they take us to a table in an out of the way corner where you can't be seen! Our server came, no smile, her greeting was somewhat like she was made to show up to work & she really didn't want to be there. She told us her name but she was whispering with every breath! I had to keep asking her to repeat herself, she was terrible! I am so glad that child didn't roll her eyes at me!!!! I have been a waitress before in my younger days, this girl, the name on our receipt says: "ACHARA G" (who knows if that is correct or not) could use some customer service training, she would not check on us for anything. I wanted to keep the Menu after we ordered to look through the various types of Cheesecakes for dessert. Our server said that we COULD NOT keep it at the table, she would have to bring it back when we were ready to order later. That was B*##S*!T we all know that you can keep a Menu at the table. We literally had to stop eating because we didn't have anything to drink & there was no one to be found to ask for anything! I ordered Sheila's Chicken Salad w/o Avocado & my husband ordered Diane's Steak & Salmon Combo, Steak Medium - it came burnt, she said she would be back with a plate to take just the steak back but never came back to get it! I asked for the Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing (on the side just in case I didn't like it) & when she brought our food out to us, I tasted the dressing with my fork, & was about to ask her for a different flavor & she just looked at me and walked away...... and didn't return for approximately 30 minutes!! I asked for the Citrus-Honey-Peanut Vinaigrette, NEVER GOT IT EITHER!! When we were ready to order our Cheesecake, she brought the Menu back, I looked back at what I previously ordered, the Sheila's Chicken Salad, I told our server that I did not have any Tortilla Strips & I didn't have any Cashews on my Salad! She said that I should have brought it to her attention when she brought our food out. I told her that yes that would have been that appropriate time but, because we are not frequent customers & I wasn't that aware of what came on the salad, I didn't know until now when I looked at the Menu again. I also told her that I did try to keep the Menu after we ordered but she wouldn't allow me to do so! She said that there wasn't anything that she could do about it now, I should have let her know before I ate my Salad! SERIOUSLY....... I couldn't believe she said this to a customer? She must be trying to get fired so she can draw unemployment! Some people are just that SOORY & I do believe she is one of them! Cheesecake Factory, YOU REALLY need to look further into people and their personal skills before you hire them! This girl will make someone really "GO OFF" in that place! We did tell her that we were from Coosa Co., approx. 2 hrs. away, & that we wanted to get our cheesecake to go. She instantly asked if we wanted Cool Whip on top of the Cheesecake? I looked at her & said, "No, we just told you that we are from Coosa Co., it is approximately a 2 hr. drive & I don't think Cool Whip will be in any type of condition to eat once we get home, if we decide to eat it when we get home! Needless to say, it will be a cold day before we go on another Date Day to Cheesecake again! I did LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Cheesecake factory, but this experience was most awful & having to pay $95.04 plus tip, over $100.00 is outrageous - especially with the service starting by walking in the door! We also got 2 teas & 3 slices of cheesecake, just to let you know the exact order.
I hope my above notes helps the Company make better choices in selecting good employees. I know that it is very hard to work with the public, mainly the food service division.
Thank you for your time,
Sheila

This place was once pretty decent

This place was once pretty decent, however staff couldn’t care less and just want their 22% tips for nothing, cutlery dirty, table sticky and wet, menus with sticky condiments smeared on pages, water with dried bits of something floating and my poached egg “soft”, oh yes they got the order completely wrong too for our special weekend brunch

Bad Experience!!!Went to the Towson town location this…

Went to the Towson town location this past Sunday with my sisters. We were celebrating one of my sister's birthday. We were highly disappointed in our visit. I would not have given them any stars, but our waitress was nice. First, we ordered potstickers for an appetizer, and we waited 25 min for them, and the restaurant was not crowded on this Sunday afternoon. We then waited another 30 minutes for our entree's which were only, a salad, cheeseburger, and a chicken sandwich. This was ridiculous!! Then, to top it off, I had to glasses of Sangria, no price was listed. When we got the bill,we could not believe that 2 Sangria's served in a wine glass, came to $31.00!!! I talked to the manager, and told him the cost of the Sangria was outrageous, and he claimed that "corporate"sets the cost.
Needless to say, I never would have ordered them, knowing they were $15 each! I will not be going back to Cheesecake Factory!!!

EXPENSIVE AND BLAND

Wow this place is not what it used to be! SUPER EXPENSIVE. Food is mediocre at best. Our appetizer arrived cold, our dinner was rather bland, the portions are inconsistent, and our dinner arrived at the same time as our appetizer. When I talked with the manager to share our experience and inquire as to how they could charge $13.00 for a TINY slice of plain cheesecake, he shifted the blame to corporate and thanked me for the feedback. There are many good restaurants in the Edina area - sadly this is no longer one of them.

Cheesecake Factory, Greensboro, NC - DO NOT GO

We waited over an hour for a table. I don't think they would have let us know if one of our party had not gone to the hostess stand. My daughter is celiac (gluten allergy). She told the waiter specifically that she will get sick if she is served gluten food. She ordered the gluten free pasta. We waited over an hour for the food. When it did come, she took 3 bites and said it tasted funny. She stopped eating and within 15 minutes, she was sick in the bathroom. Told the waiter - he seemed unconcerned. Asked him to take this off our bill - he seemed unconcerned. We waited another hour for cheesecake for the rest of the folks in the party. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this LOCATION - GREENSBORO, NC. Horrible experience. No one seem to care.

No Flavor Recipe's

In the past, the Cheesecake Factory was my favorite restaurant. Until my last visit and I ordered Jambalaya. It was more like chicken and shrimp with Fettuccine pasta with a lot of Olive Oil. There was barely any taste. Jambalaya is suppose to have tomatoes sauce, sausage, shrimp, and chicken over rice with a kick with flavor. That will be the last visit that I make to dine in. I will only order cheesecake in the future.

excellent

okay. part of why it's a whole 5 stars is because in the past year or two, something is always and I mean almost every time wrong when I eat out. NOT TODAY,
I dined at the Lynnwood WA location for a late lunch.

the bread and butter were ya know normal

and we had the maple? bacon brussel sprouts crispy appetizer thing. which was surprisingly good.

I had the chicken with lemon sauce, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus meal.
- deliciously crispy on the outside and perfectly juicy but cooked on the inside, the lemon sauce and zest mmm just...omg it was so good. I wish it were on the lunch menu as I did only eat almost half of my food and half of my dessert. the garlic mashed potatoes had skin which I love, and was super garlicy, but like garlic is measured with love and it met my expectations yummmmmm. admittedly haven't tried the asparagus i was getting too full and wanted dessert.
lemon raspberry cheesecake, --
--- so so so good! As a weirdo, I found the dark red of the raspberry sauce delightful and had a good time making jokes and giggling with my friend. . if you like semi-tart ish berry flavor with citrus mingled in all with the cheesecake flavor, you will love it!

the staff, no issues whatsoever. wasn't busy. everyone was friendly. everything went smoothly fast and efficiently. and with the state the world has been in I was pleasantly surprised at having a great experience dining out because it's been a long long time. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!
