CLEAR ARE OBVIOUSLY GOING BUST! DREADFUL. Have dealt with Marketline for many years (part of the Clear Group). My Public Liability was running out tomorrow, but I had no renewal etc from them. So I rang and left 2 Answering Machine Messages and sent 2 Emails. I heard nothing. Then I rang Clear and left 2 Answering Machine Messages and then sent an Email. Nothing. Finally I just received a Phone Call from a man in Leicester, (?), to tell me that all the Staff have been made redundant, no-one has access to the Answering Machine or the Emails and they actually don't want any more Public Liability Business!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said I could renew Online if I wanted, but there would be absolutely no back up, if I had a problem, or I wanted to claim!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF???????????? He then suggested that I went to the Federation of Market Traders and took a Policy out with them instead!!!! The Group is obviously going down the pan. 0/100

Its really weird reading these reviews

Its really weird reading these reviews. Is this a different company??? (Ive checked. No) Contacted Clear Insurance Management to obtain a quote for, in this instance, woodland and land cover. Phone answered with “Hello” and sounded like I was speaking to someone doing their housework. Pleasant enough lady, Nicola P, but not particularly interested but said would get a quote over on email. Have I been surprised I received nothing? Nope. The whole thing felt unprofessional and as tho theyre no longer trading. Just one experience, so keep that in mind, but absolutely took my business and my LL portfolio elsewhere.

VERY EXPENSIVE

It may very well provide a good service BUT mega expensive. Same cover with a different company also recommended by "Which" & also 5 star reviews was a staggering £183 cheaper for annual travel cover. If you can shop around. Many company's offer cover for those with existing conditions, check them out on the travel insurance directory.

Buildings Insurance

I have used Clear Insurance to broker for buildings insurance, D&O, and Offices insurance for many years now. Rebecca Sanders and Andrew Hough have done a great job for us this year in finding comprehensive cover for a very competitive price. Rebecca often goes beyond the call of duty to assist and I would highly recommend them to others.

Excellent Service

We have just renewed our property insurance with Clear Insurance Management. We have used them for years and the service is excellent. Geoffrey Probert in particular provided fast, expert advice and found the perfect product for us at an amazing price. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Toxic place of work and clients are not a priority

Ive had the most awful experience working here. Such a contrast from the previous beloved broker l worked for before.

Senior management need to look at their line managers behaviours towards their staff and customers in my opinion. I felt bullied, gas lighted and spoken to like lm nothing. This behaviour is being ultimately being filtered down to the customer. They are also messing with people's livihoods and mental health.

Their whole company culture in my experience is disgraceful. Clients are 'stupid' and staff not given adequate training, and judged within a few days of working there.

Their persona projected to their customers is particularly disturbing.

Disgraceful service and attitude from…

Disgraceful service and attitude from this company. We had a commercial vehicle stolen 4 weeks ago for which Clear Insurance Management insure the vehicles contents along with all our other business insurance. As of today still no update on the claim despite, as requested, copies of all receipts for equipment in the vehicle being sent to them two days after the vehicle was stolen. Last contact with them was 4 days ago after waiting 2 days for a return call, at which point they told me they wasn`t prepared to calculate the total amount of all the receipts I had given them, even though the amounts being claimed were clearly marked on all receipts, instead they wanted me to put them all into a spreadsheet! What do we pay these people for?

Is it okay to charge 38.5% commission

Is it okay to charge 38.5% commission? You wouldn't think so, but Clear seem to think it's fine. That's what they charged us on our buildings insurance, costing leaseholders £20,000 in commission alone. Let's be honest, it's theft, and companies like Clear are why the leasehold system needs to be scrapped.

Renewal Robbery

We recently renewed our building insurance policy, and Clear Insurance Management Ltd charged a staggering 38.5% commission on the renewal, which is absolutely outrageous! This kind of exorbitant fee is nothing short of a rip-off.

With the challenging economic times we all face, we asked if they’d reconsider a massive 15% or even 20%. Of course, they refused. Clearly, the team cares more about lining their pockets than providing fair and reasonable services to their customers.

I would strongly advise anyone considering using Clear Insurance Management Ltd to look elsewhere. Plenty of other insurance companies won't take advantage of you with such outrageous renewal fees.

Unethical

Unfortunately the management company for my block of flats, auto-renewed our buildings insurance with Clear. Despite many buildings insurance companies signing up to the Insurance Broker Pledge whereby they agree to limit any commission they receive for buildings that are suffering with fire risk/remediation issues to 15% of the overall premium, Clear has not. They charged us a HUGE 38.5% commission which amounts to over £20,000 simply for renewing the policy!!! A worryingly easy way to rip off people in ‘affordable’ housing… Unscrupulous.

If I could leave "0" stars I would

If I could leave "0" stars I would. This is a disgusting company, they charge extortionate commissions on buildings' insurance (where I live is 38%! I repeat: 38%, for commission ... crazy!). What would you do if you had to pay £400-500 per year ... in commissions ... for a few hours job?

We even offered them a 20% commission and they refused...

Criminals, that's what they are.

Big piece of advice: STAY CLEAR from them!

Is a 38.5% commission reasonable?

I Iive in an apartment block in London. Our managing agent (who is also useless) used Clear Insurance Management to arrange the insurance for our building and they charged a 38.5% commission! That's £20,000! Nice work if you can get it. Thanks Clear for completely ripping us off. I hope you're proud of yourselves.

Extremely disappointed with the service…

Extremely disappointed with the service and communication. This is a shame because I have been with this company for three years and never had any issues with their previous brokers, who were actually very diligent.

Sadly, my new account handler notified me over the phone 1 day before my policy was due for renewal that she had failed to secure a renewal policy for me, not because any of my circumstances had changed, but because their underwriter had advised them 4 weeks before that they would not be offering their service anymore.

I am still wondering why it took 4 weeks to notify me and I was only told 1 day before expiry, but I was still willing to give them the benefit of the doubt. Given the extremely short notice, I expected the handler to put every effort into securing our insurance, since this situation had come about through no fault of our own.

I waited patiently for nearly 1 week (all this time out of insurance and therefore in a vulnerable position as a business) and proactively called every day to find out what was needed. In the end, I grew tired of waiting for the account handler to respond and to unsuccessfully:
-Provide me with the needed information to move on with the process
-Call me, return my calls, or respond to my emails in a timely manner with updates and to advice me of what information she said she would require to secure the insurance
-email the list of documents needed which she said she would do
-include relevant information in emails, almost as if this person forgotten what had been discussed over the phone, making me feel that spending all that time over the phone had been a waste of my time
-expedite the process for a by-now expired insurance policy which, I must emphasize, was not my fault

So in the end, I took it into my own hands to resolve what I consider a pressing issue and within 1hour I managed to secure a business insurance policy covering all the things I needed with a competitor at a more competitive rate
