They sold people without telling them!!!✅️✔️✅️
A year ago, I joined with a small limit that was later increased. I consistently paid off 70-80% (but often 100%) of the balance, expecting to build credit. However, despite my efforts, they didn't report most the credit agencies. To add to the frustration, they abruptly closed my account today, citing no specific reason other than a vague email saying "business decision not related to me." This feels like unjustified closure then and financial discrimination unless there's an impending shutdown of the company coming in the next month's they need to be looked into by the FCA for unjustified descrimnation against random customers
Honestly I have no idea what education these people have I have never had an account with them yet they first sent to a debt collection company a debt in the value of £200 it was identified as fraud and sent back to the credit thing proof was bank transactions they claimed went to my account yet nothing was there to prove it ever did nor could anything be found to do with them and I thought that was that now they have sent it to a different debt collection company called Scott and mears in the value of £496 going on about costs and everything else I have sent the proof and more than and still want me to pay them THE CREDIT THING IF YOU READ THIS JUST KNOW ITS WILL BE IN THE HANDS OF A SOLICITOR IN THE NEW YEAR
A big disappointment.
not a serious company, my account was closed for no specific reason and, I was asked to repay everything within a month...
It's not done like this!!!
Angelo Pittui
just cancelled my card at the end of the year no explanations contantly calling to remind you to pay even when at work don't take this out as a long term card and prepare for constant pestering
Update: after being warned by the FCA about their practices, they agreed to a more reasonable payment plan and explicitly said multiple times it would not impact my credit file. I disputed that as in the app it said I was late making payments. They explicitly said again, there’s no issue, it’s a mistake. The company has now wound down and sold the accounts off. But not before reporting two late payments and halving my credit score. That now can’t be disputed because the company no longer exists.
Misha - I’m coming for you.
Grossly disappointed. A termination notice was supposedly sent via email (but never received) and then a notification in the app a month later saying we're closing your account and you need to pay your balance in full by the end of December.
It's almost like it's not a month before Christmas or a cost of living crisis. Told I could pay in 4 and it wouldn't be reported to credit reference agencies. If I wanted longer it would be reported as a payment plan and negatively impact my credit file.
No explanation, no email as they said, just we're closing your account, pay us on our terms, or we'll screw your credit rating for years.
Awful company, don't recommend them at all.

Totally pointless. They terminated my account without reason, and I hadn’t even borrowed anything from them. No big loss, just weird that they have done this to so many of their customers without a valid explanation

Been with them over a year ,Two days ago they decided to terminate my account and it looks like I'm not the only one,They have asked for the full balance by 31st December, I mean it's not only Christmas but also there is a cost of living crisis, I sent in a email asking to pay monthly, The reply was yes you can but we will report it to credit agency, I've been trying to get my credit up for time now and now through no fault of my own The credit Thing are going to ruin it all,I'm actually disgusted that they can getaway with doing this ! I have borrowed some money so I can pay them by the deadline date ,I will be calling the FCA to ask their advice as this is unethical of them to treat people this way,The reply they sent was cold and just plain vindictive and nasty !

Firstly, I would like to understand why my account is being closed.
The email states that it is a business decision and not due to any concerns with my use of the account.
However, this vague explanation is not sufficient for me as a customer. I have been a loyal user of your services and I deserve a more detailed explanation as to why my account is being terminated.
Furthermore, I have come across numerous reviews on TrustPilot where other customers have reported their accounts being closed without any valid reasons.
This raises serious concerns about the reliability and trustworthiness of your company. I demand to know if these reviews are accurate and if you have indeed closed other accounts based solely on negative feedback from TrustPilot.
Additionally, I am extremely worried about the future of your company. The closure of multiple accounts and the lack of transparency in your communication make me question if Koto Card Limited is facing financial difficulties or if you are planning to shut down operations altogether.
As a customer, I have the right to know if my funds and personal information are at risk.
I understand that you mentioned in the email that you are unable to discuss the matter further, but I find this unacceptable.
As a valued customer, I deserve clear and honest answers to my concerns. It is your responsibility to address these issues and provide me with the necessary information to alleviate my worries.
I insist that you take immediate action to rectify this situation. I expect a prompt response addressing all my questions and concerns.
Failure to do so will leave me with no choice but to escalate this matter to relevant authorities and consumer protection agencies.
I trust that you will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. I eagerly await your response.
Got a termination notice without doing many transactions on their platform despite having signed up for some time time when they were called Kroo and they told me it was a business decision when I have no clue why they would suddenly do that to their customer.
Disappointed and will not use their service again.

This company are rug pull specialists,
Just when you least expect it and for no reason they’ll close your account and give you 10days to pay them. And if you can’t because it’s Christmas and you have other bills - they’ll pretend to do you a favour and ask for part payment to close account - then destroy your credit rating. Who has a spare £500 to pay at the drop of a hat without explanation.
Really poor and crappy way to treat your customers.
I was thoroughly enjoying their services, using it like a bank account and using their small £500 credit or overdraft feature. Then, out of the blue, I received an email informing me that they were closing my account and requesting a fund transfer. It turned out to be a business decision unrelated to my usage.
I reached out to them, but they gave me the same response. Use a normal well established bank 🏦 where there are rules in place to stop this awful behaviour.

I was thoroughly enjoying their services, using it like a main bank account without any credit or overdraft. Then, out of the blue, I received an email informing me that they were closing my account and requesting a fund transfer. It turned out to be a business decision unrelated to my usage.
I reached out to them, but they gave me the same response. It's quite an unusual way of doing things, but it's alright—I've since opened an account with Revolut, and it appears to be fantastic!

Another customer here who got told account closing without warning just before Christmas and I’ve never missed a payment.
Something is going wrong for this company

Received an email stating I have an account with you and you’re closing it… but I’ve never heard of you until now? I’ve checked my emails and the only email ever received from you is the one received today saying you’re closing my account but I’ve never opened an account with you? I’m presuming this is a scam? Little bit concerning as you seem to have my personal details without my consent. In order for me to owe you a balance I’d of had to have spent your money and I can assure you I’ve never had an account/online card or physical plastic card from your company. I request for my details to be deleted from your system under my right to deletion.

I was really enjoying my account, didn't have an overdraft/any other credit yet like others on here I was told my account is set to be terminated due to a 'business decision' so I'm guessing they're going bust. Really feel for anyone who's got credit with them currently.
If The Credit Thing could enlighten us as to why they're closing accounts en masses it would be greatly appreciated!

I've had an email out of the blue, very vague, don't really have a clue what's going on. I've NEVER used this company in my life! It's a scam and I've reported them! Absolutely appalling!
