Our Founders: Lyndsey Hellyn & Stephanie Bennett are the co-founders of The Curiosity Approach. With over 50 years teaching and leadership experience in Early Childhood, we are the Directors of 6 nurseries across the Midlands, all based on The Curiosity Approach ethos. With over 120 employees working and serving 500+ children and their families. We recently featured on the BBC as the “nursery with no toys” and have been voted Top 10 Day Nursery in the West Midlands on daynurseries.co.uk. We have multiple Ofsted rated “outstanding” sites. We are huge advocates of young children and are dedicated to raising standards of Early Years provisions. We are two local authority Maintained Nursery schools in Wakefield. Both our schools have gained The Curiosity Approach accreditation and The Curiosity Approach Sustainability Award and we are currently in the process of embarking on re-accreditation, the time has flown by!
Hand on heart we can say The Curiosity Approach has been truly transformational, the deeper we have immersed ourselves in it the more we have learnt, the more we genuinely live and breathe it.
The Curiosity Approach influences everything we think and do as practitioners. It gave us gentle permission to pause what we did well before and to open our minds and our hearts to a new, truly reflective, meaningful approach where all children thrive. Take the step, be brave...be amazed.

Curiosity Approach accreditation has changed my practice completely.
Completing The Curiosity Approach Academy has been so much more than simply working towards an accreditation — it has genuinely changed the way I look at my setting, my practice and, most importantly, the experiences I want to give the children in my care.
I’m a solo childminder so working through it took some adaptations. Chelsie was an absolute gem and supported me throughout my journey in adapting the work to fit my business. The coursework was very thorough which encouraged me to look at every aspect of my setting, my practice and the resources I provide.
Curiosity Approach has had a massive impact on the children in my care and I’ve seen their creativity and imagination really shine through this past year. I highly recommend the accreditation course to anyone. Just remember- it’s not all loose part and no plastic- it’s so much more!
