Anna was very calm, friendly and explained all of the options available to me was fully understanding of my reasons for cancelling and listening carefully to what I had to say. She offered all the alternatives available, which still didn't really suit me.

The value of the boxes with all of the (largely unwanted) extras is not good in my option.

What a lovely way to taste a new gin. Thank you for the samples and snacks. We enjoyed it all and may well be back to sample more in the future.

Very helpful staff, had to put on hold for a few months due to financial constraints and very helpful in managing this.

I joined when it was The Craft Gin club and it has always been very good. The chosen gins are always excellent and the delivery is always prompt. The prices are fair for the service and product you receive. I have no problem in recommending the The newly named Curious Drinker to you, you will enjoy it.

I had a terrible experience for my first order, so have promptly cancelled my subscription.

1) The packaging was not appropriate for the contents and it arrived damaged.
It appeared to have been opened, then resealed with brown tape, and then later a corner or the box ripped open giving access to the contents. When the package was handed to me, the loose glass bottles were jangling around inside and one fell out onto my doormat.
When I opened the package, it was immediately obvious that the internal packaging was not fit for purpose to safely secure glass bottles.

2) I was expecting the 'Rum Taster Box' contents to match the photo on their website, but it did not. This was extremely misleading advertising.
The photo shows 2x 50ml rum, 4x mixer, 4x snack, plus garnishes.
My assumption had been that these quantities were planned to allow for for drinks using 25ml of rum each.
I only received 2x mixer and 2x snack.
None of the specific products matched what was shown in the photo, but
I was particularly interested in sampling the one of the rums shown in the photo (this had been a significant contributing factor to me signing up), but instead received two different rums from obscure companies that I have never heard of.

3) When I raised 1 & 2 with their 'Membership Team', I received an unsatisfactory response that did absolutely nothing to address my complaint.

4) When I followed the instructions to cancel my membership online, I was met with a pop-up at the final stage of cancellation telling me that I had to telephone. This is in direct conflict with their own T&Cs that they provide to customers when they sign up, so this is not a legal trading practice.
I emailed them, copying in my complaint that they had failed to address, and instructed them in writing to cancel my subscription with immediate effect. They refused and told me I must telephone...even though I had already provided comprehensive feedback on why I was leaving and why there was absolutely no way that they could possibly change my mind.
They subsequently cancelled my subscription without a telephone call, after I advised that they had until the end of the day before I ask my credit card provider to cancel any future payments plus report them to Trading Standards.

Edit:
I provided detailed feedback and photos of the damaged parcel upon receipt. I then reiterated this feedback when I contacted them to cancel my subscription, and shared it for a third time through a feedback survey after I had terminated my subscription. I do not feel the need to share the same information for a fourth time just because The Curious Drinker wants to give the impression of concern now that I have shared a negative review publicly.

Des listened to what I wanted, pointed out that I would lose any benefits and cancelled my subscription for me.

Haven’t enjoyed the last couple of bottles of gin.
Also lost all bonus points accumulated with gin club when company rebranded.
Annna on phone was most helpful.

My rum taster box was excellent. The kit came with clear instructions on how to mix 2 different drinks, plus a snack to pair with each one. They were easy to make and tasted great. I've cancelled my subscription as I'm relocating and my customer service experience with Keenan was hassle free and straightforward.
