She did an amazing job! I have spent my entire life hating my curls because I never had the proper knowledge to care for them. Not only did she spend time teaching me everything I need but she genuinely made me love my curls. I wish I could have everyone with curls visit her to love them as much as I do now!

Lidia is an expert with naturally curly/wavy hair! For years I couldn’t find a stylist who knew what to do with my coarse, wavy hair. Lidia went through step-by-step the process of styling my hair and keeping it healthy. She really listened to what I wanted to achieve. I have gotten so many compliments and my hair has never been healthier! I’m so excited to have found her! If you want to embrace your natural waves or curls, do not hesitate to meet Lidia!

Lidia was great throughout the entire appointment. This was my first curly cut and she was very patient explaining the steps she was taking in order for me to replicate the styling of my hair at home. Very pleased with the entire experience!

Lidia really is the best! I have mature (lots of grays), frizzy hair which is difficult to manage and I am glad I found someone who has helped me figure out how to control and style it. She really understands how to work with curly hair.

I came to the Curly Canvas not knowing if my sometimes frizzy, sometimes wavy hair had curl. I left with bouncy, soft curls. Lidia showed me how to recreate the look each step of the way. She was kind and patient.

I just had my 4th curly cut with Lidia. Each time, she always asks what I'm struggling with (frizz, hold, volume etc) and tells me what I should try to correct the situation. My hair always looks beautiful when I leave the salon. I always look forward to my curly cut with Lidia.

Selfishly, I don’t really want to give a good review because I don’t want it to become difficult to get cuts, but Lidia can cut curls. The time and dedication to educating me about my curls was also amazing. I divorced my flat iron almost two decades ago, and have gotten cuts by specialists, and I was surprised she still had new tips and tricks to share. I am really happy I found her. I look forward to creating healthy hair habits and continuing my hair relationship with Lidia. Very happy and would recommend The CurlyCanvas to anyone who has curly hair (unsure if she does wavy, but if she does, she will be able to enliven your texture). 10/10 again

I found the experience to be educational. I really have done the best that I can with my curly hair, but finding someone that can cut it and maximize the look of the curl, and to teach me how to style my curls so that they continue to look their best definitely is priceless. Lidia is amazing at what she does and I felt comfortable and confident.

Lydia is a true blessing to curly girls! I spent too many years sitting in chairs of well meaning hairdressers who just didn’t understand the complexity of managing curls and manipulating curly locks into beautiful cuts. I felt like I was giving them pointers on cutting and styling curly hair- when I wasn’t even sure how to truly work with my own curls.
My first appointment with Lydia was my first true lesson in understanding the needs and requirements of my specific curls. I left with my hair looking better than I ever thought was possible. So many times, hairdressers would use a squirt of gel and send me on my way or would offer a blow out as the “style” portion of my cut & style.
Lydia, by sharing her knowledge and expertise, has given me my best hair, which has improved my confidence. Now I feel like I show up more authentically as myself than ever before.
