NEW account locked out after I wired $502,000- no transparency/communication.

I am a business owner with over 35 years of experience operating within traditional banking systems, and I am raising a concern regarding funds routed through Currencycloud’s infrastructure.

On March 22, 2026, I initiated a wire transfer of $502,000 CAD from my CIBC business account to a business account held with Venn, a digital banking platform. The funds were routed via Currencycloud in the United Kingdom as part of the transaction process.

On March 25, I received confirmation that the funds had successfully arrived and were credited to the intended account.

Shortly thereafter, access to the receiving account was restricted, and the funds became inaccessible. Since that time, there has been no meaningful communication or explanation provided regarding the status, custody, or release timeline of these funds.

Given that Currencycloud operates as part of the payment and settlement infrastructure involved in this transaction, I am seeking clarity on the following:

- Confirmation of the current status and custody of the transferred funds
- Whether the funds remain within Currencycloud’s network or have been fully settled onward
- Any applicable compliance or safeguarding processes that may impact access or release

This situation is concerning due to the lack of transparency and communication while a significant amount of business capital remains inaccessible.

I am currently pursuing resolution through formal channels and request that this matter be reviewed and addressed with urgency.

Sincerely,

Aganetha Reimer

Partnering with the Currency cloud

I have been a partner with the Currency Cloud for 2 years now. Having moved all my business over from Ebury when they began to muck their partners around. TCC have not put a foot wrong, and have only improved their service and platform. going from strength to strength. Cant fault them. If you are looking for a partner for your FX/payment offering i cant recommend them highly enough.
