**Unprofessional interview experience**
As a highly qualified teacher and examiner, I expected a structured and professional interview. Unfortunately the process felt disorganised and dismissive. There were no clear interview questions, and I was largely left talking while Harry appeared distracted and focused on his computer.
I also felt uncomfortable during the interview as he repeatedly stared at my hair rather than maintaining normal professional eye contact.
Overall the experience left me feeling that I was not treated with the level of professionalism and respect expected in a teaching interview.

We take all comments seriously. However, this review relates to a rejected tutor application rather than the experience of using our tutoring services as a student or parent.
During the interview itself, comments were made about students that we did not feel were appropriate or aligned with our values.
Based on this, we made the decision not to proceed with the application. We hold our standards very high as a company, and this is central to how we operate.
Our interview style is intentionally conversational, as we focus on how tutors naturally communicate and engage with students. This approach may differ from more structured, question-led interviews.
We strongly disagree with the characterisation of the interaction. The Degree Gap has built its reputation on professionalism, student support, and high standards, which is reflected in our consistently strong 5-star feedback from families and schools.
