I purchased the ‘Trees are cool’ tee…

I purchased the ‘Trees are cool’ tee from the Devsoc website and I’m incredibly happy with my order. It arrived promptly and I was increasingly impressed with its compostable packaging. The quality of the product is fantastic and it fits great. I will definitely be ordering again and completing some of its phys challenges! Overall very prompt, ecologically thinking and quality products!

DevSoc’s Awesome Dudes and Antebellum

I stumbled across DevSoc on social media. They produce some cool gear and have interesting things to say. I then went a step further and undertook the Antebellum 30/5 challenge for December 2020. I found the associated Slack group to be full of encouraging, likeminded people, sharing their stories and always ready with helpful, friendly advice - zero negativity. Probably for the first time in December, I actually lost weight and felt better come the New Year. Overall the team is great, their products are good and who doesn’t want to help plant more trees!

I cant speak highly enough about this…

I cant speak highly enough about this group of dudes . I decided to join the Antebellum. It really was the best thing I could have done. I joined the slack group I've never meet a bunch of individuals who were full of tips, encouragement and humor.

Thank you

I stumbled across the guys at Devsoc…

I stumbled across the guys at Devsoc maybe a year ago seeing some cool quotes and gear. The gear got cheaper if I did a physical challenge so I did it, felt great and got some good merchandise!
Then they introduced the Antebellum challenge for December... just a simple 30 minutes of movement a day coupled with 5 minutes of Mindfulness ( whatever that meant) now I know; and in learning I have genuinely grown as a person along the way and met some amazing individuals.
Development Society is just that, a great bunch of likeminded people looking to keep healthy in mind and body and help others.
Good gear, good ethos and good vibes!
I can’t but recommend them highly enough as whatever they do is gonna be good for you and good for the planet!

Quality Product and Service

Where do I begin, excellent customer service. Restocked items quickly, and shipped quicker than you click to order. I purchased the retro beanie and honey badger patch and I wasn’t disappointed. The items are high quality designs as well as made. 100% recommended.

As they would say: “Stay wavy” 🤙🏼

Top Experience with the Antebellum challenge

Joined in for the Antebellum December 2020 challenge. Never done before such a online supported challenge. This was absolutely great! Thanks to the guidance and support of The Development Society team and all the participants. No pressure or stress. I joined to make some small gains in December to get fitter and ended with so many incredible physical, mental and social gains. This was an awesome ride. Got in contact with so many great and unique human beings. Started cold showers, ended swimming in freezing water. Lost 2,5 kg weight and got over the mental barrier of doing what I thought I could not. On the sideline I have regained accountability for myself and others and it was fun. The provided teamwork in Slack was very useful. All my scepticism and concerns about this challenge have been proven wrong from day one. The Development Society is very supportive and accessible. I would do it again anytime.

I came for the flamingoes, stayed for the ethos

I first checked across Devsoc on Instagram as who doesn't love a flamingo on a T shirt. Since this 1st encounter I have bought several T shirts and a beanie all of which have arrived in a timely manner and are of great quality.

The company is about more than just clothing as they really want the best for everyone.

Some items require a challenge to be completed before buying. This makes it more fun to purchase.

This last month the team have outdone themselves with a new challenge Antebellum. Preparing us all for the new year by completing 30 minutes movement and 5 minutes mindfulness a day (30/5). This opened the challenge to everybody regardless of fitness, this inclusiveness is one of the best bits about how Alex and HoH run the company.

I had quite a stressful month due to various life changes, but having a group where I could get daily motivation and inspiration from kept me moving forwards and I never felt inferior for not doing 10km a day etc. I hope to stay in contact with the antebellum group and that at some point there will be face to face meet ups.

The month finished on a high of a cold water swim, which may continue into the new year 😃.

The clothing is made as ethically as possible and a proportion of profits goes towards planting a forest 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲

Antebellum...what an experience

What a journey it has been...the simple concept of 30/5 has revolutionised my December. Just being in touch with so many like minded and motivated people has been such an experience. Friendships are being built with people that have never met, but here's to the future when the waves can flow and hopefully some meet ups can happen! Massive well done to H.O.W and H.O.H for what you have created, and also drawing in people from other areas to benefit the society.

Antebellum "before the war"

I recently took part in the 30/5 challenge along with 90 other dudes. I can honestly say, having such a good goal to focus on every day has improved my mental state and allowed me to focus. I've lost weight, made physical gains and made new mates. Absolutely awesome company, they do great gear too!
