A present - no safety advice about retinol on packaging

I got given the retinol moisturiser as a present: products/dr-h-retinol-anti-ageing-night-moisturiser-60ml. I have no idea where they bought it from - probably Amazon or maybe a free gift.

I have been using it for a few weeks and haven't had a bad reaction. It sometimes seems to make my skin feel more moisturised too. Nothing amazing has happened though.

However, I could not find detailed reviews anywhere - I would never have bought it with no reviews!

One reason I am wary is that it is listed as £230.00 on their website, on others like Debenhams they are £230.00 reduced to £29 or something like that and out of stock. Similar on Amazon. For something so expensive, I can't find a detailed review from someone who has bought the thing. You can get something similar from the supermarket or Boots for less (but it doesn't say why theirs is better).

The other downside is that the writing on the packaging is tiny! And even if you manage to read it there are no warnings about not putting the product near your eyes or wearing SPF - for an expensive product with retinol you would expect more safety advice.
