Poor products, do not trust their warranty

Just over 2 years after installing double glazing sliding doors from The Fascia Place Guildford, we woke up last week to a complete failure of one of the panels. A spontaneous breakage without unusual external factors involved. You’d think the 5 year manufacturer warranty would cover this glass failure after 2 years, but no, they claim spontaneous breakage is not a manufacturer fault. No visit, no assessment of the issue, I only received a quote for replacing the panel at my own costs.
A scam company, the quality of products is poor. If you think you are saving money buying their products you will spend a lot more once the issues start. Consider alternative providers with quality products and a genuine warranty cover.

All TFP products are sourced and supplied from the UK and Europe’s leading system houses. Led by the highest quality and the most robust industry warranties. We take customer service and quality very seriously. The issue which has been described is not covered by any UK warranty or installer guarantees, which is standard throughout the regulated glass and glazing industry.

I’ve had a very poor experience with…

I’ve had a very poor experience with The Fascia Place (Bridgwater). After being charged £2,632.31 for materials, there were significant issues that the branch did not resolve despite repeated attempts to sort it out directly. Calls and emails dragged on without a clear plan or timely refund, and I ultimately had to raise a card dispute with my bank to make progress.

I appreciate that problems can happen, but what matters is how they’re handled. In my case, communication was slow, commitments weren’t met, and I was left out of pocket for far too long. Based on this, I can’t recommend this branch. Avoid

DO NOT USE

DO NOT USE

I will be writing elsewhere as it appears this company just ignore these reviews ?
So, the latest is I’ve written to the MD the 2 directors and also the sales office regarding their supply of faulty goods
NO SURPRISE I’ve been completely ignored

Rather than be bothered about these reviews or the client or even their reputation as a company
Better approach for them is laughing at me instead

Summary
I’ve a sliding door which has delaminating handles also a 5 panel Bi Fold which leaks and has done for 2 years
not allowing the project completion
All they do is blame the builder who blames everyone else
This company are a disgrace
DO NOT USE

Update Jan 27
Standard generic response
The issue is with your appointed engineers who came out and fitted incorrect components
You know I’m the customer and you know the builder, related to one of your directors
Once it’s been proven that this is a fault of your business, ( leaking doors for 2 years) you have ignored all emails
Both directors and your MD have ignored me, after one assured me of his help! not even an acknowledgment ?? Clearly you take the money and wash your hands of any later issues which may arise
I will keep on posting so others know how you operate

The Fascia Place Ltd takes its customer service very seriously and prides itself on quick resolutions agreed with all parties benefiting from warranties backed up by the industry’s leading providers.

It is a shame that you have not had the best experience with your appointed tradesman. The Fascia Place Ltd, as a material supplier can do little to help you overcome these installation problems, however all our products are sold in accordance with legislation and with the support of UK leading manufacturers. If you have a warranty claim you would like us to assist with please send your request to aftersales@thefasciaplace.co.uk where we have a 24 hour resolution policy.
