Just had my second fireplace installed from The Fireplace Warehouse in Burnley. We opted for a media wall this time around and the experience was just as good as our first purchase so we are delighted that we went back to them.
Very professional company, clear pricing on both products and installation, full survey carried out at no charge prior to leaving a deposit so everyone involved sings from the same hymn sheet.

Waited 7 weeks for an "in stock" item. After chasing for the fourth time to cancel the order I am told it had, coincidentally, already been dispatched. However the tracking shows it hadn't till after I tried to cancel, Very poor customer service and I would definitely not use again.

The Fireplace Warehouse provided an efficient, friendly sales-service for their products and were very responsive to any telephone or email enquiries. Whilst one of their products was no longer available, they quickly identified a suitable alternative and offered an appropriate discount on the original purchase price. I have received excellent service from start to finish. From the cheerful receptionist, then John who gave me lots of helpful advice. While waiting for delivery I had a few queries and my e.mails were answered super quick. The fitter Glen contacted me to confirm fitting date and time. Glen and Jamie were very respectful of my home, very clean and tidy workers. Glen is a very experienced fitter who pays attention to detail. We are returning customers to the Fireplace Warehouse. Twelve years ago we had a fireplace and living flame gas fire. Back then they provided the same excellent service as we have just experienced. On this occasion having moved property’s we have purchased two very different fireplaces and gas fire/gas stove. The staff at the Burnley showroom are extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and always delivered on their promises. Both fireplaces exceeded our expectations and are real showstoppers and completely enhance our rooms. We are so grateful and can’t thank them enough. In addition we must praise and acknowledge the excellent workmanship of their recommended installation team. A thoroughly 5* experience. Highly recommend this company, well worth the trip to Burnley.

We ordered a full electric suit at over £2000. The fireplace warehouse were all very polite and helpful when selling the fireplace to us but once we had paid I think all customer service went out the window. We had the fireplace fitted on 5th September 2022 and the fitter sat in his van mostly while his apprentice did the fitting. The fireplace was fitted slanted with one side touching the floor and the other side about an inch away from the floor, leaving us with a £2000, eye-sore.
I spoke to the fitter at the time of fitting, they refused to rectify it and got very aggressive and threatening about it. He acknowledged the issue but barked at us that we had to speak to fireplace warehouse to get it resolved. On speaking to fire place warehouse we were asked to send them some pictures which we did. We were then asked to send more pictures which we did. We then had to chase them numerous times before there agreed they would fix it. A date was set for them to fix the issue and suddenly on the day they were due to fix it, this was cancelled because fitter was poorly (this was 5 weeks after the fire place was fitted). We were then told that the fitter only worked one day a week so we would have to wait another week. 6 weeks after the fireplace was fitted, when the fitter eventually came, he told us that he had not been sent to fix it but to take some pictures with a spirit level. He spent about 5 minutes at our house and then left, he told us he knew nothing about it and there was no point in speaking to him. Despite him knowing nothing, his mannerism and appearance suggesting otherwise, the fireplace warehouse have since advised that he is one of the senior managers. On phoning the Fireplace warehouse they told us that they were under the impression he was coming to fix the fireplace and they would call me back. Later that day I received e-mails from a John Hobson saying they had no intention of fixing the fireplace.
They spent 6 weeks spinning us lies and delays, I believe with no intention of fixing the issue. They have taken no ownership or responsibility. They have left us feeling like they have vandalised our home and I have spent a number of nights trying to console my partner who has been in tears on several occasions, especially after speaking to the fireplace warehouse by phone.
We are currently taking legal advise, on how we can recover the £2000 plus we paid to them and what steps we will need to take the have the Fireplace removed so that a reputable company can install a fireplace competently.
Think about installation issues before you buy
Purchased an electric fire, delivery date changed but was ok with it, fire works well, however, comes with a very short 3 pin plug had to use an extension cable initially, replacing the cable invalidates the warranty apparently, you will have to factor in an electrician as the sellers installation does not cover this, had a gas fire disconnected so paid a Gas Safe engineer to do this, they recommend the engineer, same name as the seller I discovered later, left us with a serious gas leak that they refused to take responsibility for so had to pay for another engineer to fix this.
Find your own installer and gas engineer if you decide to buy from them.
5 Star Service
We were sceptical after reading the reviews but decided to visit and boy are we glad we did, the showroom is massive compared the the pokey shops we had previously looked at. From the staff in the shop to the fitters nothing was too much trouble. I like most people only leave reveiws when I want to moan or complain but when you get 5 star service it needs to be applauded.

Had my fire fitted yesterday and to say I am delighted is an understatement. It looks fabulous and in these trying times it was great to speak to enthusiastic and knowledgeable staff when in the shop and fitters even cleaned up.

Met by an arrogant little man with attitude who told us they were closed despite the doors being open, open signs on outside of door and we were in the showroom? We pointed out that the signs said open and he asked us to show him ! Receptionist didn’t acknowledge our presence at all, didn’t even look up from whatever she was doing at the reception of a closed shop ? Rude and unwelcoming- dont deserve the business.
