The owner and team at Forged Blade are excellent. They sent a warm, welcoming introductory email while preparing and shipping my products. I am thankful for their communication.

Upon arrival, I was eager to test my new purchases from Forged Blade and compare them with a purchase from a competing company that has also appeared in many online ads and pop-ups (at least for me).

I am amazed at the quality, sharpness, and artistic beauty of the knives from Forged Blade. I recently used a blade to dice two bell peppers (this may have been overkill). The results were amazing, and I have never had zero wasted pepper until now.

I will never buy another knife unless it's from this company. In addition to quality and workmanship, the pricing (or return on investment) for the Forged Blade products makes them a better overall choice.

Thanks for making excellent products. I will be shopping again very soon.

I bought the Explorer Series, magnetic display board, and sharpener as a Christmas gift. I had to leave a review because this set is absolutely stunning, and after seeing them in action I will be purchasing a set for my own home! The Forged Blade Customer Service team has exceeded all expectations! I could not believe their quick response and attentiveness. Highly recommend Forged Blade!

First off, in my opinion, this knife feels and looks VERY cheap. I purchased the Explorer Series - 6” Santoku Knife. I found the fit and finish to be lacking, the handle to be uncomfortable, I didn’t like the weight and balance of the knife, and I found that the included sheath felt cheap/flimsy and had an odd smell. At the time of purchase, I thought the upper portion of the blade was black from the hand forging process, but after receiving the knife, it appears to actually just be painted black. This makes me wonder whether or not the knife was actually hand forged at all. I would also be worried that it could wear/flake off into my food while cutting. The knife I received was also quite dull out of the box compared to other knives I have purchased.

Next, make sure you CAREFULLY read the 30 day satisfaction guarantee. The knife must be “in new condition and include all packaging” in order to return it. This is clearly stated in their return policy so make sure you READ it, because it would seem that you have to decide whether or not you are satisfied with the knife without actually using it.

The return process was fairly slow for me. I requested a return during a long weekend so understandably I didn’t hear anything back until Tuesday morning. Tuesday AM: I was asked if there was any particular reason that I wanted to return the knife. Wednesday AM: I was asked to: 1. Confirm that the items were unused and in original packaging, and 2: send photos of all items and all packaging. Thursday AM: I was offered a 20% discount to avoid return shipping (which the customer pays for, and is stated in the return policy) and I was told that there is a 15% restocking fee. (The return policy mentions that restocking fees may apply) Friday AM: I was told that they would waive the restocking fee, or I could keep the knife at a 50% discount. Friday PM: after declining the option to keep the knife for the final time, I was informed that a full refund had been issued and that I could keep the knife anyway, which was a nice gesture by the company.

I personally cannot recommend this knife, as I feel that there are MUCH better options out there at this price point.

I bought the Dual Sided Solid Acacia Wood Magnetic Knife Block from Forged Blade and it was very disappointing. The block was just cheap MDF with a thin "acacia" veneer. The block would have been destroyed in no time. The return/refund process took nearly 2 months because I had to keep chasing the rep to respond with return details and an RA. I recommend steering clear of FB.

These are high quality crafted knives. Beautifully made and razor shop. The shipping was quick and they provided great care instructions. Love these knives!

After being charged twice by accident the company reached out and corrected the error.

The blades are great. And SHARP? They are really sharp. You gotta really pay attention when you are using them, if not, you might wind up like me. Three wounds (minor) from not keeping my fingers clear. All in all great knives, great quality,

The knives we received were very high quality and very sharp. We ordered a set and an additional knife along with the leather roll. The original promotion stated that if you buy a set of knives, you get a free knife. I forgot to add the free knife to my cart, so I didn't receive one. However, when I contacted customer support, they honored the offer and sent me a free knife of my choice. Now that's customer service! We will be buying more in the future!

I received the knives and was dissatisfied with the quality. I immediately attempted to return the knives (unused and in original packaging) and was told I had to document with photographs as proof of their condition and provide reasons for why I was returning them, despite their "satisfaction guarantee". Despite my objection, I complied with this request. In the meantime, customer service advised me that if I disputed the charge with my credit card company they would refer the case to collection. Even if this is their policy, in this age of easy (and advertised easy) returns, it is highly unusual for a company to even utter the word, "collection". Especially when they are not even honoring their own policy. I never write bad reviews, but threatening customers while simply just not honoring customary return etiquette is unacceptable. Steer clear. Champagne products? Beer customer service.

I’ve heard great things about their knives. The owner seems like a legit guy, who cares a lot about his customers experience.

I bought a few different knife sets from the Forged Blade and these are incredible. The style, quality and sharpness are second to none. Katie Smith from customer service was extremely helpful in making sure I was totally satisfied with my purchases and I will be buying more. Job well done!

I bought the Wildrose Damascus 5 piece knife set and couldn't be happier. They're truly a work of art and so incredibly sharp! Worth every penny.

Excellent quality and top notch customer service. I am a repeat customer and recently ordered the 3 Piece Chef Knives set.The cleaver was a bit loose at the handle. When I reached out, Katie responded back in less than 24 hours and shipped out a replacement cleaver within 48 hours of my original email! If you’re in the market for quality cutlery, Forged Blade is the only place to shop.

Awesome knives, got the wild rose 5 piece and absolutely love them, sharp and beautiful.

I ordered the Wildrose Damascus 5 piece knife set for myself and an Explorer 6” for my Dad. The knives are a thing of beauty and wicked sharp!

The Explorer arrived with a defect and Katie worked quickly to make the situation right so that I could gift it to my Dad in time for Christmas.

I ordered my knives at the beginning of December as a gift. 3 of 5 were shipped and I was told then that the other two and knife block were out of stock. It would be 1-2 weeks. That was on the 13th. Then I was told "after January 2" but that I should have the knife block before Christmas still... Now we are on the 26th of December, still no more knives and the block came in today broken in half. I message and they said "we dont typically have customer service through Christmas" well thats wonderful because today is the 26th so whats the excuse now? These are not cheap. The quality of knife is actually really good... but customer service is absolutely terrible. I was told "can you actually check your emails" when I HAVE been checking my emails. NONE of them make sense or line up. So frustrating.

** UPDATE **
While I stand by my frustration for the way that my order was handled, I would like to update that the customer service team did reach out after my review and my complaints and they sent out a new knife block that arrive unbroken and an additional knife for the trouble I had. I finally received all of my knife set mid January. We are happy with the quality of the knives. It was just a disaster when ordering.

Absolutely stunning hand forged Damascus pattern that leaves you with a smile ear to ear , exquisite manufacturing fit and finish , feels amazing in the hands and is perfectly balanced . Would definitely recommend these knives to a professional or novice they will not disappoint. You have a customer for life thank you so much.

I ordered two knives. One of the knives arrived new in the box with a loose handle. I contacted The Forged Blade about the defective knife and they personally called me and resolved the problem to my complete satisfaction. Their knives are beautiful works of art and strong useful tools. One day I will pass them down to my sons as heirlooms. If you want a quality hand made product (instead of big box Chinese junk) then be sure to order your knives from The Forged Blade. You will be glad you did!

The filet knife I received seem to be high quality I may be spoiled as I bought shun kitchens knives and the filet knife isn't a third the price but mine was very dull and the shuns were so much sharper maybe mine slipped by but in the future I would like to see a sharper one if I buy another
