The Freedom Hub (TFH) is an award-winning Australian social enterprise and registered charity working to end modern slavery and support survivors to rebuild independent, dignified lives. Based in Sydney and operating nationally, we combine ethical business with social impact. We run a Survivor School that provides long-term, trauma-informed education, employment readiness, and life skills for survivors of modern slavery in Australia. Many survivors face complex barriers including trauma, language challenges, and lack of access to traditional support systems. Our model provides practical pathways to independence through education, confidence-building, and safe employment partnerships. To fund this work sustainably, we operate a range of ethical social enterprises including a cafe, catering services, an events venue, ethical retail, and Ethical Business Advisory Services. One hundred percent of profits from these businesses support survivor programs. We also work with businesses, government, and community organisations to raise awareness of modern slavery, strengthen ethical supply chains, and improve human rights practices through training, advisory services, and advocacy.
