Paid £160 for don julio 1942, my favourite drink. Received the cheap £60 version. And they are unwilling to refund the difference. Will not use again.

I have only just received the wine ordered in earlyDecember. The admin and customer service has been woeful.

Good communication about wines which were not available although it is disappointing that relatively ‘normal’ wines were out of stock.
Delivery when promised.

I ordered a 2017 Chateau Musar for my wedding anniversary. I received a 2018 Chateau musar which isn’t a bad wine but didn’t hit the mark for the year we married. Simple mistake but the invoice says it’s a 2017 and so does my order confirmation. I couldn’t even be bothered to return it. If you can’t offer a solution I’m afraid I won’t be shopping with you again..

I was ‘hooked’ the moment I tasted the Pomona spirit; it is quite delicious!
Excellent as an aperitif, but I find it so moreish when poured over vanilla ice cream. I use Kelly’s Cornish vanilla clotted cream ice cream.

Delivery method. I tracked this and the first time it told me it had been delivered and not to be! I had to email the company and it had been delivered to them in error!

The General Wine Company has so many interesting wines from which to choose, it can be difficult. We were after a particular prosecco by Famiglia Botter, a spago which we fell in love with some time ago. Sadly it no longer seems available in Britain, but there is a very acceptable alternative with a screw top - yes. "Real" proseccos don't have the more robust pressure bottles, but rely on string to hold in the cork, or, in our choice a screw top.
The website is easy to navigate, the checkout simple, the prices reasonable. The company is easy to deal with, and are very helpful indeed if there is supply problem.

After initial mixup with delivery address the matter was resolved with speed and efficiency.
I have already placed a second order which is proving most enjoyable.

Ordered 6 bottles of Beaujolais Villages Nouveau (2025) Jean-Michel Dupré. Paid order never arrived sent email only to be told they had forgotten to send me the order and it had all ran out this was 10 days after my order. Very disappointed wont be using again.
