We were kept well informed throughout the whole process. When we went to the auction house to hand in the whisky's the young lady was very helpful and informative.

Everything in terms of admin and payments and bidding works to a very high standard so this is very satisfying. However it was disappointing to note that the £40 bottle of whisky that I won in the auction turned out to be a £76 cost due to delivery and insurance. Fine but this needs to be made clear at the beginning.

An excellent result for my first sale. Everything was super smooth with info on new bids supplied immediately. I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole process.

Love this site (maybe a bit to much) easy to navigate and bid, payment process is quick and easy. Purchase is always as described.

I rated this company with a one-star rating in the past because they refused to deliver my bottle, which resulted in me paying for shipping more than once.

Six months later, I saw a bottle I was interested in. So I thought, why not let's see if this was a one-off bad experience? After all, they took a membership fee, right?

And what happened is shocking and highly unethical.

I was unable to place a bid, so when I called the company, the gentleman (who was quite rude) said to me on the phone, and I am quoting word for word here (and have the recorded phone call as evidence),

'If you remove your one-star review, we will allow you to proceed to place bids.'

The gentleman was unapologetic, laughed at me on the phone, and then hung up mid-conversation. It was highly unethical and proof that the company does not give a damn reputation. Instead of trying to rectify an initial issue, they force customers to remove reviews.

They had a chance to win me back as a customer and instead tried to blackmail me.

They also did not inform me of this until I called them and kept the membership fee without a refund.

I was most impressed by the speedy, personal, pressure free response to my enquiry. I would not hesitate to recommend this firm to anyone wishing to consider selling whisky or requiring a valuation.

Honestly I say again that this is the best place to use to sell your whisky, it's the second time using the "grand whisky auction" each time achieving the best prices, I enquired on numerous occasions to various business sites and received offers far far less than I gained in the auctions, I will be using this place again and recommend it to anyone considering selling their whisky
