Mis information disaster paper

Where do I start! Horrible leftwing Globalist newspaper that needs to end along with every other mainstream media news outlet. Left wing news bias that claims to be fighting against fake news when this newspaper is the best at spouting fake news!! Every article spreads mis information, always trying to make out that the left wing policies are the best for everyone inc. the woke agendas, illegal immigrants are ok right? and to promote the globalist domination of the world - 2030 anyone? The constant trump drubbing and putin evil is getting very tired now (they are the people standing in the way of globalist domination if no one has worked out yet) and people are awakening to the rubbish they have been spreading for years. Time to end it.

I grew up with the Guardian and…

I grew up with the Guardian and continued buying it as an adult for decades. Under Alan Rusbridger it was a a genuinely liberal paper, in the old sense that it was tolerant of divergent views, while having a firm sense of its own.

But then Katherine Viner took over in 2015 and ruined it. Viner is a woke authoritarian who specifically does not believe in freedom of speech. The number of No Go Zones she set up are endless, but any questioning of trans, legal immigration levels, boat crossings, student woke politics, 2 child UC payments, etc etc are all TABOO. In short she's the sort of leftist woke fool who is primarily responsible for the UK being lumbered with decade upon decade of Tory rule.

Within a couple of years of arrival she had utterly destroyed the BTL comments section pointedly erasing Rushbridger's old "Comment is free" slogan.
BTL reads like a Chinese Communist Party conference, every says and thinks exactly the same bland predictable thoughts, as those who don't are removed. About 7 or 8 favoured commentators basically use it as their personal blogging space. A good read it isn't.

As bad, Viner used to work for Cosmopolitan, and it shows. She's forever trying to turn the Guardian into a daily version of Cosmo with relationship problems and sex articles everywhere. Sorry, but I no more wish to see such stuff in my daily paper than I would want to discuss it with my great aunt.

Unfortunately the average Guardian editor stays about 20 years, so Viner's only half way through. I've made a note to look again around 2035, not before.

My partner who insist on a paper copy of a newspaper every day used to buy the Guardian but I've managed to talk her out of it by sharing the cost of the FT with her - probably the last remaining paper in the UK which still treats its readers like adults.

Incredibly biased and ever prevalent

This publication lacks impartiality, truthfulness and knowledge. Which makes it all the more galling that Google prioritises The Guardian in its search results. It's certainly been notable for the last seven or eight years. I used to read this rag, but I found the overt bias, censorship and "holier-than-thou" righteousness to be immensely off-putting.

Google promotes this so-called "news"paper with so much gusto and enthusiasm. It's like they share an agenda. An agenda that compromises the truth for their own goals.

The Guardian obfuscates the truth. Their agenda (which they share with the "right" type of billionaire) at the expense of impartial, accurate reporting and spreading the truth. Yet they claim to be the gate-keepers of the "truth".

Truly Orwellian, are they. Google itself has become unusable since its insists on promoting their kind of propaganda in their search results.

They curtail freedom of speech and honest reporting in favour of their "narrative".

Terrible neo-communist fake news.

Terrible neo-communist fake news.

Supposedly for free, it then demands a donation for every article.

No attempt at balanced debate. It clearly uses click bait articles, designed to set off woke Marxists, into a clicking and sharing frenzy, so they can make more money on advertising.

A generation of young socialists are getting mental heath problems with the constant fake click bait news and fail to learn the skill of showing respect or empathy to others who don't share their ideology.

Just spamming my inbox without me…

Just spamming my inbox without me having even signed up for them.
Complained once about a blatant biased political view to them via email and after that they have signed me up for their newsletter which I never have signed up for.
My original complaint was never ever dealt with and instead of being nice and courteous they keep spamming me with annoying emails that I have never wanted.
I would never ever even consider this as a good trustworthy company to provide any news as its heavily biased and not at all using a neutral objective point of view.
It is in my self interest and in the interest of the generation to come to thumb this company down.
Complaints are not dealt with in this company and probably just insta shredded to appear like there is nothing under their carpet ... But since I was never contacted and after Guardians way of talking very badly about a famous political figure, it is time to tell the truth about this appalling "news" agency.

The new editions app makes it almost…

The new editions app makes it almost impossible to read content. Another example of fixing something that worked perfectly well as was. I’ve read the Guardian most of my adult life but this frustrating, self-indulgent reworking means I can’t actually access the news content.

Make cancellation as difficult as possible

Subscribed to guardian weekly but when you want to cancel they make matters deliberately difficult. I did not update my payment method as I did not want to renew my subscription. Nevertheless they told me I had to still phone and cancel. Several days of calling only to never get through I emailed them. They said I could now cancel by email if I emailed them. I did that and after chasing, they email saying I would have to call them!

Better than alternatives

Cuts through the fake "truth" that so many want to believe. No it's not perfect but far better than most and certainly better than any other large circulation paper in the US or UK.

They don't like freedom of speech

Has to be the most biased things a "non-biased" news outlet can do. Leaving X because it moves to a more free speech platform when they were happy to run on it when it was a proven censored platform previously. You can't make it up. Do not listen to a word that comes from them. Move to smaller more independent news outlets for more accurate and factual information/the truth.

Terrible Customer Care

I just received an annual renewal for the Guardian. I have not received a single email edition in almost a year. I called and explained to Jimmy, their representative, who listened, and agreed not to charge me again and to refund about $2 for one months left. I assume I took a trial and forgot about it. They should have done better with their customer service.Shame on them, and good ridance.

Good writers and journalists

Good writers and journalists. I am not saying what they "print" is true, but some opinions are just a pleasure to read. And Recipes are a good section too, a lot of inspiration for me.
