Unprofessional, Unsafe Chaos – Avoid "The Healing Temple"

I previously attended one of Guiomar Rebelo’s sound baths and left with ringing ears, but foolishly gave her a second chance when a friend invited me to her 8‑night “all‑inclusive luxury wellness retreat” in Bali. I left feeling disappointed, angry, and honestly stunned that this was being sold as a luxury wellness retreat.
All six of us on the retreat — three separate pairs — independently decided to leave after three days.
The “luxury” facilities shown in the marketing materials didn’t match the reality when we arrived. The “pristine beach” outside the accommodation was covered in rubbish.
The lack of privacy was shocking. Our room’s bathroom had no door and was visible through clear glass to anyone walking past on the garden path, including male security staff. Despite the curtain, anyone entering the room could accidentally expose the person using the bathroom to the outside walkway. This actually happened.
We were supposed to have three nutritious, chef‑prepared meals a day, plus access to a gym and jacuzzi. We did not. The itinerary was a mess. It made no sense geographically, and there was no realistic way the planned experiences could happen as scheduled. We spent hours in a van, and several of the activities either didn’t happen or were nothing like what had been promised. In the time I was there, we did zero yoga and zero meditation.
In my experience, this retreat was poorly organised, not worth the money, and nothing like what we were sold. I would strongly advise avoiding it.
