Awesome space, great view of Cruz Bay. Well designed with big windows and high end finishes. Comfortable and nicely decorated. Gated and safe. Nice pool deck, gym, and sitting area. We would absolutely stay here again.

Everything was amazing! We were there for a wedding and had the reception on the terrace at sunset which was perfect. I would highly recommend The Hills!

I am a world traveler, and have been to over 12 destinations this year alone. The Hills offers some of the best experiences available anywhere! Amazing views, hospitality, and amenities. Best spot to stay at in the USVI 10/10

We had a great time at The Hills! Our villa (Pineapple) was nicely appointed, and we would recommend the property. There was one small equipment issue while we visited, but it was rectified by the staff and didn't put a damper on the trip. The kitchen has everything you need to cook, should you decide to stay in, and the jets in the showers are a godsend on a humid day.

The views were UNBEATABLE from the property. We could see the sunset from the great room and the terrace. It's hard not to get a good view of the bay, St Thomas, and sunset from anywhere on the property.

If you don't rent a Jeep, we recommend using Chico from transportation. The beaches are close, the ferry is close, and the national park is close. It's a great location! If the weather isn't great, the villa has plenty of space to relax inside or under the cover of the overhang outside the master bedroom exit.

Amazing views and the villa was beautiful! Friendly neighbors and Cathy made sure I was equipped with everything for my stay. This place deserves 10 stars. I was a little disappointed with the jacuzzi not working and a few of the door didn’t lock. Besides that this was my dream vacation.

The greeting staff was great, the views are great and having that wow place to eat on site was awesome! the Villa we stayed in was worn, kitchen appliance damaged, and floor tile damaged, and AC did not work very well in the Master Suite, and no hot water or water pressure. However were just there for a short stay. I would think it could and would be improved quickly as this place has a lot of good vibes and lots of space.

Loved it. The room and views were beautiful. Will definitely stay here again the next time we are on St John.

I had the pleasure of staying in the Royal Palm Villa. Beautiful Large Village all to myself. The WiFi was crappy but no strikes against them as I’ve experienced crappy WiFi a lot of places. The kitchen was my favorite place lol… Inspired me to model my home kitchen the same way. Gorgeous view from all balconies especially at night when the island lights up. I recommend you bring your family. The Hills is more family friendly or more on a family set up versus a romantic set up. Gated community which I loved. Very quite & relaxing. I enjoyed myself to say the least. Very responsive and informative guest services. They have the best taxi drivers I’ve ever experienced during my years of traveling. I highly recommend Chico and Oliver for all your taxi trips. Definitely making them a yearly destination. I’ll make sure to bring my family next time.

I really enjoyed the Bougainvillea with my Family for my Daughter’s 7th Birthday! I am giving a 4 star rating because the a/c unit makes a loud squeak sound every time in came on and that startled us several times. The groceries service Cory was amazing and had things at the villa for us and Ginger and Kathy were extremely accommodating and thorough. We would definitely come back in hopes the squeak is fixed on the a/c unit.

Amazing view, beautiful place, and really attentive staff, but it was not 5 star quality. The outdoor glassware was filthy, there were ants everywhere, the fridge was only intermittently cool, the cheap trash can needed something heavier to keep it closed, and the dryer didn't work (although they fixed it in no time- thank you!). Again, gorgeous location, but needed a bit more attention to detail.

The room was incredible, checking in and out was very smooth. Staff helped with us getting rental car and ferry. The cook at the clubhouse was extremely rude and not interested in helping us

The Hills was wonderful! They covered everything that one might need in a trip to the beach. the view was amazing and still close to everything!

To start with St. John is just amazing so it was a great backdrop to our stay at the Hills. We stayed in the Frangipani Unit at the top of the hill with a pool and incredible views. My wife thought ahead and we brought floaters to blow up so there was nothing better than in the late afternoons sitting in the floaty sipping a drink and peering out at the Jurassic Park looking islands. There were six of us, two adults and 4 kids from 14 to 19, and the place fit us extremely well. Beds were all super comfortable and the place was very clean and well kept. Only minor criticism is the kitchen needed to be better equipped, I.e., no oven mitts. Also would have been nice if there were coffee filters. But these are very minor criticisms to an otherwise wonderful place to stay. Few suggestions. Get groceries delivered in advance. Get the list of cab drivers from Cathy to take you into town, about $5 per person. Eat at Lovanga (sp?) Rum Bar and Morgan’s Mango. Early afternoon drinks at either the bar at Maho Bay or the Beach Bar in Cruz Bay. Head over to the other side of the island for a day at Hanson Bay where for a small donation you can use their kayaks, tables, floaters, etc. Other favorite beaches in the Cruz Bay side are Maho and Francis. For remote beaches (which tend to be a little rougher because not as sheltered but also no people) try Jumbie or the hike down from Peace Hill (trail to beach is on your right about halfway up the hike to the top). Our day spent snorkeling with Bad Kitty boats was amazing as was our captain Sherita. One last thing, please say hi that the cats at the resort especially Boots and Mustache. My daughter will miss them very much.

We stayed in Guavaberry, 3bd/3.5bth. We had a love/hate with this villa. The pros: the views are stunning. Sunsets are amazing. The pool is wonderful for late afternoons/evenings. Tony in the clubhouse is super great for quick meals and great drinks. The location is super close to everything (not walkable but like a 3 minute drive to restaurants and super close to the best beaches. The space in the villa is perfect for a family. It’s easy to spread out. Washer and dryer are a HUGE plus. The villa comes with everything you need for a great vacation. The cats hanging out outside were a huge plus for our animal living girls. They’re friendly and we enjoyed spending morning and evenings on our balcony with these sweet kitties.

Cons: this villa is tired. Paint would go a LOOOONG way to making this place 5 stars. It feels dirty because it needs paint so badly. Maybe replace the disgusting trash can in the kitchen as well - it’s covered in dried on food and every time I had to touch it, I felt the need to sanitize my hands immediately. Black out curtains in the master would be HUGE. The view is stunning but I don’t want to see it while I sleep. The light coming in makes it hard to sleep. But the kicker is the hvac. The 2 bedrooms on one end where our girls were, were freezing while our master bedroom was steamy hot. The master bedroom was miserably hot. We turned out air down to 63 and couldn’t get the master cooled off for anything. The master bath is where the heat is coming from. The tiles on the floor actually feel heated because of the heat radiating off them at all times of the day.

Kathy was fabulous. She helped get us settled and was always super quick to respond when we had questions prior to arrival. Our power went out the first morning we were there and she communicated with us throughout the day to keep us updated on the situation.

Tips: trunk bay, Hawks nest, and honeymoon were our favorite beaches for snorkeling. Go early as they full up quickly. Rent a jeep. You’ll spend a ton on taxis and having your own car makes exploring so much easier. If you want to dine anywhere, make a reservation months before you arrive. Same with the rental car. Don’t arrive and expect to get either upon arrival. Starfish market will deliver groceries to your villa. This was a lifesaver for us!! We had everything we needed upon arrival already in our villa ready to go.

All in all maybe I’d stay here again? We have talked about coming back next summer as our girls had the time of their lives. The clubhouse is such a huge plus for quick meals and we essentially had the pool to ourselves every evening. St. John is beautiful - my favorite island in the Caribbean by far (and I’ve visited most).
