Good but room for improvement.

Tried it for the first time this week.

The good:
Chana Masala was super tasty.
The desserts were delicious. We had the kheer and the lemon pistachio cheesecake. Both great especially for plant based.
It all smelled great and tasted fresh.
With the exception of the cheesecake, all were a good portion size, great for splitting a mix of dishes between 2.

The room for improvement:
Didn’t enjoy the Pau Bhaji.
The bhajis and samosas didn’t crisp up when following the cooking instructions. They just stayed a bit soggy which was a little disappointing.
The portion size for the cheesecake was a bit small, especially for £3. Compared with the portioning of all other items it stood out.
I would expect double and it was so nice I definitely could have demolished double.

I will be back at some point to try some other dishes.

Lots of food for two and absolutely delicious. Delivered as promised. Easy to follow instructions. I particularly liked the addition of some chopped chillies so you could adjust the heat to your own taste. We are carnivores but didn't miss the meat.

We’ve tried a lot of meal delivery and recipe box services during lockdown, but this was a real gem worthy of review! Punchy flavours, healthy and hearty ingredients, generous portions, plant based, eco packaging and very friendly communication all make for a memorable five star experience. We ordered the February Menu of the Month a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Gobi Manchurian was a real treat (quite different to the other dishes) and all the starters were delicious too (this is the first TIG meal we have ordered without Pani Puri , which is our favourite dish, so we were nervous about missing out - we needn't have been!). Package arrived early on Friday morning (in time for breakfast, if you are that way inclined) - no leakages at all and all items travelled well. Living in London, value for money versus other local takeaway options is very good. The food tastes fresh and healthy (especially compared to other takeaways). Will be ordering again!

So dam good, had the set menu. For the starter the Onion Bhaji and Kachori were like a festival of flavour in my mouth.
Main course - the Chana Masala and Black Lentil Dal were absolutely fantastic, both zingy with just the right amount of spice. The food came with loads of sauces and chutney, which was really nice.

All was cooked to perfection.

I originally messed my order up, so had a chat with the customer service, who were super friendly, responsive and sorted everything out.

Basically, this meal was a real highlight can't wait to get it again next week. If I could give 6 stars, I would.

The concept is good, and I was really looking forward to it based on reviews, but I was disappointed and so was my husband. This was going to be our treat for the month, and we ordered the fixed menu for 2, plus an extra main and 2 desserts. The chana masala was lovely, but we found everything else to be quite salty - to the point we were guzzling loads of water and juice, and the inside of my mouth was stinging, but from salt rather than spice. The naan was flat and tasteless, and the rice - although full of flavour - was really mushy. It reminded me of when I’ve had a disaster attempt at it myself in the past. Neither of us enjoyed the desserts either. I just didn’t think it was worth the money, and I think we’ll stick to our local next time. Sorry to give a negative review, as I want to support independent vegan-friendly business, but this wasn’t for us. The packaging was impressive though, and I liked that it’s all recyclable.

We had our first delivery this week, it arrived as scheduled, and the food was very good. Excellent flavours, and very unlike the food from our local restaurant. We will certainly order again.

Everybody behind The Indian Guy is fabulous. The food is amazing, no generic "Curry House" cooking. It feels like a local Indian cooking expert has come to your house and made you the best meal ever. Not swimming in oil, not loaded with salt, just good wholesome ingredients. More than anything, they are truly lovely people. I had a special request and they came through and then some. 'Thank you' will never be enough. Treat yourself and order some great food from The Indian Guy!

Really appreciate the honest approach of this company. They make great food, which is like home cooked, not mass produced. The emphasis on local sources and recyclable packaging is admirable. We’ve had 3 meals so far, and would happily recommend them to anyone.

The food from The Indian Guy is simply exquisite. All dishes are absolutely delicious. It’s SO much better than a typical local takeaway. The food tastes so fresh and it doesn’t leave you feeling rubbish afterwards! I loved all the dishes I got, but especially loved trying some new things, including Pani Puri and Potato Bhajas. The portions are very generous and it comes with loads of free sauces too! I really recommend ordering from their Menu of the Month; it’s great value and a wonderful way to try new things.

I would definitely order from The Indian Guy again and really recommend them to everyone!

Received our first delivery today. Arrived fresh, well packaged etc. It was a treat to try so many different dishes without having to do more than re-heat in the oven. Tasty, varied, good quality food. Happy to support this new cruelty-free business!

The delivery arrived on time and the food was expertly packaged ( no leaks, breaks and still nice and cool due to the enclosed ice blocks ) .
My first and definitely not my last order from ‘the Indian guy’ - food was ordered for a night in with my son.
We both thoroughly enjoyed all the different dishes sent to us - beautiful fragrant food with many of the dishes being new tastes to us ( not your typical curry house spread )
Good portion sizes and the additional included salsa’s, chutney’s and sauces made the dish extra special too

Fantastic customer service. A great varied menu and everything was absolutely delicious. Delivery as promised and in time for Friday night dinner! Would definitely recommend to anyone who likes authentic, tasty, high quality Indian food. The best. 😋😋

As a vegan I was so excited to see a complete plant based menu which is hard to come by in my local area.
My husband would usually order a meat dish but he loved the food and would order again.
We ordered the menu of the month with a mango cheesecake. It all tasted fabulous and pushed us out of our comfort zone of ordering the same boring thing from our local curry house.
The bread was the best I have ever had, even in restaurants on my travels and in the UK. Well packaged, all packaging was Recycled and delivery was spot on. Our food was still chilled and the ice packs supplied did the job. No spillages which we even get from our local TA!!
Fab job guys will 100% be ordering again.

Ordered for the first time after seeing you on Instagram and I am so glad I did! It was the best curry I have ever had. Fresh food, full of flavour and easy to heat. So pleased to be able to order plant based food. Will definitely be ordering again.

What an amazing find this turned out to be! Stumbled upon them on Instagram and figured we'd give it a go as we have very few options for vegan takeaway nearby. I cannot recommend them enough. The price was fantastic, delivery was as expected and well packaged, the food tasted amazing... just above expectations all round. Will absolutely be ordering from here again.

I found out about these awesome guys off of Instagram and I have to say I am impressed. I enquired about some ingredients for some allergies and the team replied super quickly and with clarity. I ordered some various food to try and honestly it was incredible. It arrived the following day in excellent condition. The packaging was environmentally friendly and professional. The food was easy to heat up that evening. I have to say this is some of the most delicious food I have ever eaten. The flavours of the dishes were stunning and perfectly balanced. The food wasn’t at all greasy and was super tasty. The food was amazing quality, superbly priced and authentic. It was a fabulous evening! Keep up the great work and I highly recommend the Indian guy to anyone!!

Made our first order last week and will definitely be ordering again! Loved the variety, and also options to customise the courses with great accompanying sauces, chutneys and chopped chillies. Easy to follow instructions and all the packaging is recyclable - great food and great ethics :)
