Good quality yarn
I was disappointed with the quality and trying to crochet with it was difficult as the hook kept splitting the wool

The Cygnet DK yarn is 100% acrylic, and these yarns can sometimes split due to the way they've been plied , especially when crocheting.
You could perhaps try to twist the yarn as you're crocheting, to keep the strands together a little bit more. It may also be worth trying to use a yarn that has either a wool or cotton content as these won't split as much.
You're also always welcome to return any unused yarn back to us for a refund, if you'd rather not carry on with your project.
