The colour is grape rather than magenta - lucky the image was accurate and showed purple, not pink, which is what I was looking for.

I am going to knit a Henry the hoover jacket for my friends son. I chose this wool as they colours are excellent. I only use King Cole as the wool is great. Washing this wool it keeps it's colour and softness. Henry is very lucky
Very easy to knit with, nice finish.
The wool is lovely,I had it before, but I had to return it because of customs charges sending from the UKto Ireland.
This is knitting rather nice, so pleased with the wool so far. I haven't found any joins in the wool also which I think can be very painful.

Good quality yarn. Easy to knit with. It doesn’t split into thinner strands and glides easily over the needles.
I've given this 5 stars, although as I've only just received it I can't say much about it. First impressions are good, a nice, soft handle to it and seems to be knitting up well. I ordered the wool on 5th January and didn't get it until over a week later. A query to customer services revealed that they have a backlog of orders to deal with: an email to customers or a notice on the website would have been helpful.
I bought some last year to knit a jumper for my son in law. He was delighted with it and it has washed well throughout the year so I bought more to knit him a second one for this Christmas. Knitting frantically now!

Lovely quality wool. This was one of several I ordered for colour choice, but I eventually chose another make of wool simply because the colour was better for my project

More I think about it more confused I am - says is merino blend but %age content not given anywhere I can find. Ball band says100% pure new wool ? Have bought merino, merino blend yarn before (other brands) & honestly felt much softer than this. Not started to use yet & am uneasy so likely this time will keep for adult garment rather than baby jacket I was planning to make. Colour 'Smoothie' very pretty.

The King Cole Merino Blend DK is made from 100% Pure New Superwash Wool, which has a merino wool blend.
If you think this may not be suitable for your project, you're welcome to return any unused items to us for a refund.
We've linked below to Royal Mail’s website where you can create a free returns label.
Once you've created your label, Royal Mail will send you a separate email which contains a QR code. Take this along to your post office so that the code can be scanned and they will print a label for you. Alternatively, you can print the label yourself once you've created it.
