Lovely soft wool easy to knit which I knit as 4ply as it is quite fine

Beautiful soft wool. Knits up as a 4ply

So far I am loving this yarn. I am making a shawl using my knitpro cubics needles 4.5mm. I find that it is working up almost identically as a previous make in DK, although the yarn is finer the fluffy halo seems to bring the yarn to a DK as it works up I would recommend using needles with a good point on them otherwise it's easy to catch the longer fibres as you work Not quite as bunny fluffy as real angora, more a soft mohair vibe but visually similar to an angora fabric. I personally would use it in preference to angora as I prefer the feel of this (and I don't like the ethics of some angora collection).

Very disappointed , several knots in one ball of wool, with very uneven thickness. Not what I expect from your company. A complete waste of money & effort.

Hi Mary,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review.

We're very sorry to hear that you’re disappointed with the yarn you've received.

Knots in yarn are an inevitable part of the manufacturing process and most suppliers tell us that up to two knots per ball is considered normal.

This wool beautiful. I have a small complaint Knitting Network advertised this as a DK and the ball band confirms it’s 4Ply, hence only 4star review. The yarn is soft and knits up on 3.5 mm needles nicely. If your sensitive to wool like me it prickly on the skin

Advertised as double knitting wool..... Think it's more suited to 4 ply patterns as I tried using it with a DK pattern and it just didn't look right. With a 4 ply pattern it looks much better. Feel very disappointed as I bought several balls in three different shades.

Hi Margaret,

Thank you for taking the time to leave us your review.

We do apologise you are disappointed with your recent order.

We have test knit this yarn ourselves and it does knit up to a standard DK tension on 4 mm needles.

Enjoying knitting with my Papatya angora the colour is true to the colour advertised.

This is a fine yarn, however it does knit up to a DK pattern. I did a tension square for the pattern I was knitting and it matched exactly. It knits up as a lightweight item. You could add it to another yarn if you wanted a thicker finish.

Beautiful yarn, warm and soft. Great yardage.

Yarn is soft and although it says on website it’s DK …I would say it’s 4ply it work up beautifully I did have to double it to get the correct DK weight I needed

Love knitting with this product but always use a 4ply pattern as definitely not DK

Nice yarn, semi fluffy finish, not as soft as real angora. Its actually a 20% merino wool/80% acrylic blend so no Angora at all! Ball band states needle size 3-3.5mm for knitting & weight is classed as fine so more of a 4ply. I'm using for doll clothes & it's working up nice. Definitely recommend & I'll be buying more colours!
