The Sirdar Jewelspun is designed to be slightly slubby so it can vary a little in thickness throughout the ball.
The tension does work to a standard aran and creates a slightly textured finish.

The colours are a beautiful mix and the yarn knits up lovely.
I have just started my second jumper made with this knitting yarn - it is a joy to use, and knits up fairly quickly - as I can't wait to get onto the next project, same yarn, just a different colour. Also I would like to point out that the fist jumper is a lovely warm garment. Highly recommended!

Excellent for crochet, wonderful colours but can degrade if used for sewing up.
I love this range of yarn! The colours are rich and vibrant, it crochets up beautifully and is a joy to wear. I'm really sad that it seems to be discontinued.

Nice and soft, both knits and crochets beautifully. I know from experience that this yarn will only survive a very cool wash but I love it.

Love this Aran yarn, which I have used several times. Super soft and knits up quickly. Love the colours of the Nordic Noir.
Soft wool to knit with but there are occasional variations in thickness. Very pleased overall.
