I normally knit with wool or part wool yarn so was a bit unsure about using acrylic, it’s knitting up ok so far will see how it washes in time

I've used this wool in DK. So thought I'd use it for an Arran hoodie for wee one.
A beautiful yarn, top quality. Knits and Crochets are well and lovely colours. I am using it for a crochet project.
I prefer to knit in either aran or chunky weight acrylic yarn. I've tried most of the brands and Stylecraft are now my go to yarn. Too many aran or chunky yarns are now too thin. Not stylecraft you can safely knit in the needlesize specified,knowing you don't have to change your pattern or needles. Washing is no problem, new mums don't have time to hand wash or take extra care,it can be thrown in the washing machine and tumbler on low heat. Pillling is either minimal or doesn't happen, so your knitted items still look fresh and new and not ' dog eared'. Its also very soft. I knit baby blankets for a local charity and I knit them all in Stylecraft Special Aran and a lot of the other knitters have all commented on my soft blankets. There is a good choice of colours and its also very affordable. Cannot rate it highly enough.

This yarn is nice to use being thicker than double knitting. There is a great choice of colours as well and the colour shown is tru to life.
Really pleased with this and the other Aran yarns bought at the same time. This is a new project - knitting a very colourful and intricate Fair Isle jumper. Which will follow the DK Shetland one that I have just begun. This will test my skill and patience, I think.
