Avoid if you want to keep your sanity

Booking was easy. Confirmation received. The day before we were booked I received a call offering a smaller vehicle than the one paid for. We didn’t require all the seats. I wanted the bigger vehicle for space due to the needs of the passengers. I was told the smaller vehicle was more executive- this wasn’t the point and the smaller vehicle was cheaper. But I had paid for the bigger one. I called them back to confirm the vehicle and was told they would call back. They didn’t. So I had wait to see what arrived

On the day of collection the driver said he needed a 5 min break, then it was 20, then 45. We got on the coach at the desired time to be told the taco hadn’t recorded the break and would need to wait a further 45mins. The driver refused to move his vehicle starting the 45mins would restart if he moved the vehicle. But he was in the middle of the road and blocking fleet car exiting. In the end I said he needed to go to a service station, he went to a petrol station and we started the 45mins again. After 20mins he said it wasn’t recording on the taco and lo and behold the time reset to 45mins. Eventually we got going. I forewarned him the was an incident ahead of he went that way but he proceeded anyway, because his app said 6min delay. Which lead to us sitting in standstill traffic for over an hour. He would turn around because of the trailer. He eventually tried to take the trailer off but was unable to get the wheel down. So we just waited. I rang the company a few times and they were going to speak to the driver and call back. They never called back. We eventually got going, had a change of driver and got there.

On the return journey. I called at 0900 to ask for the driver to have his break before arriving. Our pick up time came and went. I called twice to find out where our transport was and was told he was 7 miles out. He turned up 45mins late and a tad stressed. We loaded and got on the way. 1.5hrs later we stopped for a driver change. There were problems with the trailer lights. Eventually got sorted and had new driver. He asked to have his dad on the coach to keep him company on way back. Ok no prob. But he wouldn’t engage with anyone on the bus and even refused to wear his seatbelt. We stopped for a 10min break - the driver wanted 15. We needed to get back so said 10. Over 30mins later the driver came back slowly and we got on the road. When we got back. He didn’t initially help unpack the trailer. His dad was spitting freely which tbh was disgusting.

To be fair, the 2 initial drivers were very friendly and had a smile throughout.

Would avoid

The coach driver himself was excellent; however, it’s important to note that the company does not own any coaches—they outsource them. I specifically requested and paid extra for a coach with a toilet, but one without a toilet arrived, and I was never informed of the change. Since then, I’ve followed up multiple times over the past two weeks seeking an explanation, but I’ve been completely ignored. Very unprofessional experience overall, and I would not use this service again.

Disgraceful

Incredibly poor response to an initial complaint.
We spent a significant amount of money to collect 2 parties from a concert at Wembley Stadium. 2 HNW families required taking to a hotel in London.
We had given initial instructions to meet the families a short walk away from the stadium to avoid traffic. We were given their contact details and initially tried to contact the driver, who did not respond. When he finally answered, the driver was not at the agreed pick up point and he claimed he was driving around looking for the passengers. The driver from the offset was aggressive and extremely rude. When the family finally found him, the driver initially refused the family to get in due to the names being different (same surname, different first name, of which ALL names were given to the company ahead of the booking taking place). After some to and from he eventually agreed to let the family in (considering it was very late and there were children in this party) During the journey the driver continued his aggression and it was noted his driving was erratic. When they arrived at the hotel in London he additionally became difficult and parked inappropriately (despite there being concierge) so the family had to get out and negotiate further traffic to make their way to the hotel.
I have repeatedly requested to complain to the company, to be ignored and told "they are working on it" but have received absolutely no formal response. Considering I book for HNW families this is by far the worst experience for London taxi firms. Please do further research and do not book this company if you are looking for any form of customer services, its a disgrace.

Missing coach

We needed transport in London for 90 students, and whilst The London Coach Company offered us a good price and organised our trip well beforehand, there was one coach missing on the day! We found a way around, but were panicking for a moment as we saw that one out of three coaches just didn't turn up, and we were 30 seats short! To this day, we don't know what happened to the missing coach..

Satisfied coustomer

Our journey of 49 passengers with The London Coach Company by coach on August 25th, was timely, with both the pick-up and drop-off, being right on schedule.

The ride itself was safe and comfortable.

Special mention goes to the driver, Kyle, who was exceptionally friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout the trip. He ensured that all passengers were on board and settled before setting off, which made for a smooth and reassuring start to our journey.

Special thanks also go to Peter Barnes, the Travel Advisor for his guidance and friendly conversations throughout the booking process.

Thank you The London Coach Company for providing such an effective and efficient service. We look forward to traveling with you again.

FRAUD. AVOID. DANGEROUS.

I recently had the most unpleasant and concerning trip with thelondoncoachcompany.co.uk

We had a booking for 10 people from Mayfair to the O2 Arena in London for a show. The driver whilst on time was not polite. Sadly however our 1 hour journey ended up into a 2.5 hour journey from hell. He had no idea where he was going and when we pointed out our destination he kept driving away from it. I called the company to ask for help as the journey and driver was unsafe. Apparently they don’t have any influence and can’t help. Very rude. When we told the driver to eventually stop he was unable to follow simple instructions from the police. We missed the show and ended up paying £500 to get home through Blacklane. Is this an isolated incident??? No idea but with no customer service and a terrible driver vetting process I suggest trying elsewhere. I lost a lot of Money through this cowboy setup and will NEVER use them again.
