The mentoring lab is great for little kids and adults can do a thing and discover something as well and it's easier for people to learn what to do in life so you don't always have to ask help from your parents

So I have enjoyed The Mentioning Lab so far, it has been one of my best experiences because I get to sing and show my talent.

I quite enjoy the session as it is fun and open to everyone we all enjoy the session and my ideas get heard

This company made contact with me over a month go after finding my CV online. They were keen to interview me as they were very impressed with my CV. They offered me an online interview for 14 September `20 which was conducted by three ladies while the CEO, Elaine Thomas stayed in the background. I was delighted to see that all the women were from multicultural backgrounds and I thoroughly enjoyed it and felt at home. The interview was good natured and relaxed. Throughout the interview they made it clear how impressed they were with my experience. At the end of the interview I was informed that they would be in touch with me by the end of the week, so I was really looking forward to it. By the end of the week, I had heard nothing, so I left it, assuming the delay was due to schools starting back after the summer and COVID-19. I contacted the CEO/Founder on the 24 September, requesting an update. Again, there was no response. I sent another request on 9 October. This too was ignored. I decided to call them on 21 October and spoke to a lovely lady named Sam, who was very sympathetic. She tried to put my call through to the CEO, but apparently she was unavailable. This experience taught me one thing, that despite my background as a humanitarian and human rights campaigner, racism works both ways and that the sole reason why the sombre Elaine in stark contrast to her colleagues, treated me in such a way was because I am white. She could learn a lot from her colleagues.

UPDATE: In response to the very late reply from The Mentoring Lab, there are some facts Elaine Thomas has neglected to mention here. In this reply, Elaine is attempting to create the impression that it is someone else other than herself responding on her behalf, she is the CEO and sole founder. I was interviewed by "three" ladies, NOT two while miss Thomas said absolutely nothing throughout the whole process. All those on the interview panel made it abundantly clear that they wanted to offer me the position, yet miss Thomas overruled them. As mentioned, even the lovely lady I spoke to on the phone when miss Thomas refused to take my follow up call seemed shocked by her bosses behavior. Admittedly, I was upset, however it is deliberately misleading for miss Thomas to claim here that it was due to not being offered the job. I'm 57, highly experienced and over the years, job rejections is something you become accustomed to, especially when you happened to be a former careers adviser and small business adviser. I am also successfully self employed. The reason I was upset was entirely due to the downright "racism" from Elaine Thomas. This became more evident when she began to harass me with threatening emails. I also did a background check into the The Mentoring Lab with reference to reviews and make up of the company staff.

I had already put this behind me some time again, so was surprised to be notified by this late response three months later in the new year.

The mentoring lab are a fantasic company that provide amazing opportunities and support for young people. I found my experience working both on some of the courses and partaking in some of the courses available, eg Launch your career to be very rewarding and elevating. All the staff members and volunteers are very friendly and genuinely want the best for the young people involved.

This service is really outstanding, the people that are involved in teaching are passionate and inspiring . I personally appreciate the art teacher Mirella, she is an explosion of positivity, my daughter is amazed by her. She described this teacher , I quote her sentence 'she love teaching , she knows what she teaches ".
In this lockdown they are like a cuddle herbs tea in a cold winter .

I have 2 kids, one in year 4 and the other in year 9, that joins the classes online weekly. Since the schools had been closed, it has been difficult for me to home school as I still work from home full time but with the weekly classes, it has helped to bring some structural learning to my kids’ day. I appreciate The Mentoring Lab for this and strongly recommend that they get the aid required to be able to continue to provide this service during this difficult time for families.

I got a lot from the little time spent with Elaine. Using one of her TML models, i was able to see where my time could be more efficiently spent - and boy, what a lot of time it was! The mentoring lab has made our youth offering a complete success dedicated one 2 one's that allowed us to find new ways to help and support our members into great career paths yes but even more so confidence and comfortably being themselves so glad we didn't go it alone. The mentoring lab's support allowed us to be fully focused on our mission. Would recommend and have done. THANKS GUYS!

The Mentoring Lab is a service that I would recommend to any young person as the staff are well experience & have extensive knowledge to help & guide young people into their own chosen path

The session was very educational. I learnt the importance of organising my time and was able to successfully identifying my strengths and weaknesses in a very honest manner. The one to one Was great Elaine was very friendly and and had loads of useful tips and advice.

The Mentoring Lab taught me how to prepare for my future and allowed me to understand the importance of planning. I learnt how to map out a career plan for myself which encouraged me to begin planning and preparing actions for this. I learnt how to balance my time well and how to identify ways to improve my progress.

This session was very educational and motivational and I know feel more prepared for the future than ever before!

The sessions enable me to reflect on thing that was hindering me. which was really good for me, it helped me to plan more things to do and keep me preoccupied,which will bring me closer to my career goals. The mentoring Lab had help me build a new relationship with other participant which help me network around to build more client for my career goals, overall it was a great experience.

The session enabled me do a lot of thinking, which was a good thing for me. It helped me to fleet on myself on a deeper level and helped me realise what was holding me back from doing better, which is something I can work on for my future career. I really enjoyed the session and talking to everyone else, especially the tutor. It was a really great experience.
