Finding 24 hour/live-in care for my mum at very short notice seemed to be a very daunting task, until I connected with Audrey at the Number One Care Agency. After a meeting on the Friday, we confirmed the agreement the next Tuesday and the carer was able to start the following Monday. My mother had grade 4 cancer, and as a family we decided she should come home rather spending her last days in hospital. Our carer, Magda, took the very best care of my mum with equal amounts of love and professionalism. She became an integral part of allowing my mother to pass in peace, with dignity and at home.
I can’t thank the No.1 Agency enough for their kindness during that difficult time.

No 1 Ladies Care have been excellent in the care my mum has received. Audrey was able to quickly arrange 24hr care when we needed it urgently and the 2 carers my mum had were lovely. It was such a relief knowing my mum had a lovely carer with her 24hrs when we were unable to provide care ourselves. Mums anxiety was greatly reduced and she felt safe and secure in her own home again. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend No 1 Ladies Care to anybody who was considering home care or a befriending service for a loved one. Excellent company to deal with and lovely staff.

I have use The No.1 Care Agency since summer 2015. Audrey Mutongi was recommended to me by a team of carers who were attending a close older friend of mine, 24/7. Audrey had done night duty once a week for that team to fulfil legal requirements of carers. My friend had very high standards. I felt that anyone she accepted in her home had to be more than good enough for tending my husband. And so it has proved to be.

Audrey is a bright and intelligent, warm and caring young woman. Her warmth was immediately evident from the moment we first met. I was even more impressed with the way she approached my husband and drew him out of himself. He brightened right up when he laid eyes upon her. All the while I was conscious that she was watching and assessing him and his needs very carefully but this did not get in the way of her warm and cheerful approach to him. He was set at ease. Subsequently she has overseen my respite breaks, some lasting almost three weeks in duration, some being shorter breaks.
It is evident thatAudrey is well educated both academically and in the practical sense and this has been confirmed as we spoke about her training and her studies at Glasgow University. This has been important to us and made us very happy to have her and her colleagues in our home.

Audrey's mother Susan has been involved with Sandy's care on two occasions where it has been 24/7 cover. She is of course older than Audrey but has in her quiet way all the attributes of her daughter, whom she has obviously taught very well. Susan is very thoughtful in her care, not in anyway obviously managing my husband which he would not like, but doing so subtly and coping with some challenging situations in a sensitive and able manner.
I have had no hesitation of recommending this Agency to friends and all the feedback I have received indicates that my confidence has not been misplaced.

Excellent care. i would HIGHLY recommend the agency. Each operative was tactful, polite, hardworking, gentle and kind,and made the last months of my father's life in his own house possible.

This small and deeply committed team has my wholly disabled mother at the heart of all they do. Extremely competent, skilled, understanding, patient and kind, they go above and beyond to manage her degenerating condition, ensuring her comfort, security and wellbeing. Communication is exemplary, not only with my mother, who can no longer communicate effectively herself, but with us as a family many miles away, with the other community care services involved and within the agency itself, resulting in seamless handovers. This quality is absolutely consistent and in my experience, a rare commodity. I will always be indebted to Audrey and each and every one of her amazing team.

A team of wonderful ladies cared for my stepfather and mother for nearly a year. They were endlessly caring, kind and gentle. All that you could hope for in looking after loved ones. And more than that they were happy and fun and their company gave real pleasure to my stepfather and mother.
The care was provided in their home on a Scottish island, with a wildly erratic ferry service. The team was 100% reliable, staying on if their relief couldn't arrive and spending up to 2 days on the journey to ensure there was continuous cover.

I am a volunteer here, it is a great organisation, amazing staff: everybody is kind and caring and makes you feel valued. I know Audrey, who runs the care side of the company, and she is a real miracle. I can only imagine how much the organisation does for paying customers, based on how much it does for those who don't pay. Definitely recommend.
