The best writing course I have ever taken by a long way. It is informative, motivational, inspirational, educational, it will get you to the end of a novel even if you have no hope or faith in it, and The Novelry makes you feel like you are among friends. It has given my writing life a reboot.

The Novelry is truly one of a kind. Having a strong community to fall back on and personal one on ones with people that have been through the entire process from start to publish, have been so invaluable. Having someone to talk to about places I am stuck and having a group of people I can check in daily with is also wonderful! I'm so happy to have discovered this course! It has been life-changing in so many ways.

I have been trying to write a novel for as long as I can remember, years and years. The furthest I ever got was about 15-20k words before I was overwhelmed by how impossible it seemed.

I was constantly searching for the formula that would make me get it done. I was considering a Creative Writing Masters as a last resort and then I stumbled across The Novelry. And four months later here I am printing out the first draft.

I don't know what the magic formula was, the steps seem so simple - be consistent, stop worrying about it being perfect and just get it down, a routine of reading and writing. How can it be that simple? And there's the magic. And a lifetime ambition achieved.

I love writing now and miss it on the days I skip it. If you're wanting to get that novel done, I can highly recommend this course.

It has been a revelation. All my life I have wanted to write a novel, but it seemed like an impossible task. How on earth would my tiny brain tell a story that big? I've written countless short stories, radio and TV scripts (all gathering dust in a drawer) but a novel, it was like the equivalent of an ultra marathon and I didn't have the legs for it. Turns out, I did! All I had to do was have a little bit of faith and show up at my desk for one hour every day. It wasn't a big ask and before long, I was looking forward to that golden hour - don't get me wrong, there were times when I had to drag my sorry a*** to that computer, but even on those days, progress was made. The one-to-one sessions were invaluable and Louise gently stopped me from racing down the wrong path at high speed and helped me to identify the heart of my novel. So now, when people ask 'What did you do during lockdown?', I say 'I wrote a novel' and that feels good!

The Classic course is great for generating and developing story ideas. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to write but is struggling with finding a story they want to write. The lessons are full of inspiration, wisdom, knowledge and warmth. I've found a story that I want to write, and I'm loving writing again. I'm so grateful for this. Thank you, The Novelry!

A fantastic course for so many reasons: the content of the daily lessons, the analysis of great writers, the general feeling of support, the sense of belonging (I loved those daily emails so much! ‘There is new material waiting for you at The Novelry') the workshops with published authors, the fellow writers on the community groups. Superb.

Miss Louise held the net for me while I walked the high wire of getting my draft done. When I was in the doldrums, she threw the rope down to haul me up. Her positive, gentle coaching along with the expertise of her team, the superb lessons, and the help of other writers means you are not alone and you just trust the process and do the work. Most importantly, it's helped me to rediscover my passion. Before, I had only unrefined, undefined fragments of what could be. The course has helped me to refine, define and discover what will be.

I have completed a first draft. Before joining, I had many small pieces of writing and had taken other courses so had some techniques, but no way of writing a coherent piece all the way through. The Ninety Day Novel course at The Novelry has a structure and discipline that other courses do not. Loved it. Truly. Can't thank you enough.

Delivers what it promises! An outstanding course to assist a first-time novelist produce a first draft in 90 days. Participants are provided with structure, tangible support, an array of excellent resources and the encouragement to power through any anxieties to deliver a finished product, ready for editing and redrafting. Louise is a very warm and generous taskmaster. Very highly recommended.
