The Wilmore 5ft King Size Solid Oak Ottoman Bed Frame is designed for those who value craftsmanship just as much as practicality. Its bold, clean-lined silhouette brings the warmth and presence of solid oak into your bedroom, while a spacious ottoman base reveals generous and practical floor-supported storage beneath. Crafted from 100% Solid Oak with robust solid pine internal slats, this solid wood ottoman bed frame celebrates the natural strength and durability of hardwood. Each piece is finished with a clear protective lacquer that enhances the rich oak grain while providing lasting protection. With its classic slatted headboard and substantial low-profile footboard, it delivers a reassuringly solid, well-built feel, designed for lasting strength and everyday reliability.
Mattress Support
Equipped with three structured sections of solid pine slats, the base provides stable, evenly distributed support across the full width of the bed. By dividing the slatted base into reinforced zones, the design provides a firm, level platform for dependable everyday comfort. This sectional slat system also promotes natural airflow beneath the mattress, helping to maintain freshness while ensuring consistent comfort night after night.
Smooth Lift Mechanism
Dual 90kg-rated gas lift pistons provide smooth and controlled access to the under-bed storage area. Designed to support the weight of a standard mattress, the assisted lift mechanism raises steadily and safely, making everyday access effortless. For added reassurance, discreet safety locks are fitted on both sides of the lift system. When engaged, they help keep the base securely positioned while the storage compartment is open.
Removable Floor Panels
The storage base features removable plywood floor panels, designed to protect your existing flooring while creating a clean, practical storage space. These optional panels sit directly on top of your floor and are not fixed in place, allowing for easy removal when cleaning or accessing the full depth of the under-bed area. Because the panels are not structural or weight-bearing components of the frame, there is no fixed weight limit on the items you choose to store beneath your bed.
