The company frequently ships incorrect orders and their customer service is extremely poor, taking weeks to respond to concerns. Currently, their customer service links don't even work nor does the support e-mail. Terrible company. Save your money.

Annoying marketing practises. Ordered a box and it never arrived, emailed to complain and it still never arrived. Oh well £80 lost. Now all they do is spam me and ignore my unsubscribe requests.

My order is from a couple of years ago, but the annoying marketing sparked me to write this now. "Liz" is a scammer.

It takes week or months to get a hold of customers service. And they still wont help you.

it is now end of the month, my november box was never sent, no way to contact them as there is no longer customer support, no way to cancel subscription as the link does not work. quite disappointing as i've been with them 3 years.

UPDATE: it has finally been sent 1st DEC but the link definitely needs fixing and needs some form of contact.

Need to contact customer service? Good luck doesn't exist apparently. They also won't follow any data deletion request. Stay far away.

I've been getting the otaku box for a few years now and I can say several things. The figures are decent Chinese made but with that I will say a Bandai or prize figure you can get in the states in most cases is better quality. The boxes value is definitely not worth the cost in my opinion; I get the standard box+figure costing around 60-65 a month and I'd estimate the boxes value at about 40ish at best. You will get a wall scroll and otaku trading card every month and then 1-2 other random things of low-mid quality. Most recently they required an age verification which as far as info goes, I'm fine with it I guess but they also want a front and back copy of your ID/DL which throws me off a bit as that can be used for way too many things and makes it seem shady. To add icing to the cake I signed up for the Arc 1 of the card club and was sent a note that stated I tried to contact you 4 times (I actually emailed them about as well) and you didn't listen to verifying age so you not getting the lewd version of the cards is a you problem not a me problem. I have since cancelled my membership and would tell people this; you will get low/mid quality items in which they value way higher than they actually are, I would recommend shopping other sites for brand/series specific figures and otaku things.

Their website is a pain to navigate, the login page is all the way at the bottom of the page. If you click to another page there is no way to get to the account page. Easiest way to get to the account page is through your email link, if saved the email.
At the account menu there is no option to cancel subscription. The faqs on their website don't say how to cancel. I had to google the exact faq page because it is not accessible via their website. There is a link that says to log in and self cancel but the link is broken and doesn't work.

Awful experience, someone I know accidentally put in an order with them using my card as they were "joking", unfortunately there was no authentication, no CVC or phone pin request, nothing. I emailed immediately to cancel/bounce/refund the order and despite their support saying they reply within a couple of hours, have now been waiting two days, I do not want these items, and more importantly to me currently, need a reply on the customer support ticket in order to resolve this.

The anime boxes every month are amazing. Everything looks great and you get such amazing things in each box.

Very happy with the quality and quantity of the products, Also great customer service, had a slight issue with a shirt and was fixed the very next box.

It would be great if I could pay like an extra $20 or something to get both echi and regular content

From their start to the present, they have kept their word in trying to get quality products for their subscribers and customers. I was subscribed back in 2018-2020, and now 2024-2025. They have continued working on better quality and customer support. The only downside I have seen is how long it takes to arrive.

So each months box contains several items. We all have favorite anime titles and characters so there are times an item might seem less desirable. After all it is aimed at a general audience so that's ok. However, the ability to customize your box makes it better, lewd opinions, add ons to make it more interesting than the standard loot box makes it worth the while. That part aside, I have always have great experiences with the support team. I have received a damaged box and even missed a box because it was delivered to the wrong address. I contacted support and the next month they replaced the box. Those reasons have keeped me as a subscriber for over 3 years now.

This is a great product and the detail is amazing

Customer service is top-tier, and the box contents are AWESOME! I never thought I could get into figures, but along comes The Otaku Box, and holy heck, now I have a fair collection. I've had HORRIBLE experinces with collectible card games, but along comes Waifu Masters, and holy addiction, Batman -- I'm in for quite a bit of pack-cracking when it all comes in, because Liz runs a service that gives the greatest gifts of all -- hope and joy.

This is a personal reflection on.... Oh, gosh, almost three years of boxes headed my way. And that means I'm almost certainly not the longest-running customer -- and I'd bet the Day 1, A-1 customers have a LOT of praise, too!

Don't waste your money. If you're looking for ANIME loot you're going to be disappointed. I just cancelled my subscription because I just received a FULL box of non-anime items. They're obsessed with their OC and Liz merch and will be putting it in your box. They will send you Tapestries, Cards and a Coin in every box as well as small items like pins and keychains instead of giving you anything useful. I already found some of the products they sent me on Shein for the price of $1-$2.

Liz does a fantastic job at putting together a variety of items to keep each box different than the last. She is also great at letting the people have influence on what could appear in the boxes.

I have been with this box for over 2 years and I love it. There always different things in it every month with some walls scrolls and figures.
