My overall impression was that they did not care at all - almost glad to get rid of me. I got a new contract, transferred my number and shut the account.

TPO was started by three friends sharing a common vision. To transform something that people use everyday, their mobile phones, into a force for good. They launched it in late 2012 in the UK and it's been growing ever since. In January 2014, Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia, joined the company. Our goal is to raise billions for good causes worldwide, delivering goodness with every connection made. 10% of customers’ mobile bill is directed to their cause or charity of choice at no extra cost to them.

Great cheap service friendly customer service highly recommend
Misplaced philanthropy?
No surprise that TPO has gone into Administration.
Took almost five days before I could make voice calls back to the UK from Spain over the Christmas/New Year holiday period. To say the company's Customer.Service team was hopeless was an understatement.
I understand they donated 10% of customers' bills to charity. While philanthropy is a great thing, if the company had invested some or all of that money into improving the service it might not have gone bust.

I've had my phone number for years and use it for business.
I received a text late last night informing me that TPO were going into administration. I did not receive any communication from them prior to this.I rang TPO this morning to get my PAC code as I need to keep my phone number as all my business contacts have it. It disconnected! I sent TPO a message, but as of yet have had no reply. I am guessing that there is no longer anybody there. So, who is accountable for my loss of phone number and the impact that this will have upon my business???
Looking for deposit refund for roaming.
I've been with TPO for a number of years, not really experienced any major problems, the 3g was not reliable of late but not sure if that was my phone or the service. My biggest concern now is getting back the £50 deposit I paid to have roaming enabled on my phone before they cease trading! Does anyone have any information on this?
I've been with tpo for years
I've been with tpo for years, just got a letter, going in administration, gutted. Never had any problems, shame to see them go, all good things come to an end. They even sent a sim to use with a new provider, very considerate and thoughtful, given the short notice of administration. Cooksie

I have been with tpo for a long time on a rolling monthly sim. I have just got in and have a letter informing me of the administration. Absolutely gutted. Brilliant firm never had a problem with them. They have included a free month sim from another company so all I can say is THANX for your service over the years and a sincere sorry to see you go.
Regards Kath
Gone Bust!!
Not surprisingly, TPO is now in administration and will cease trading on 26th February.
TPO The worst network company ever.
Worst network company ever.
Customer service is a joke. I've been stuck in a contract for 3years with these. I am away next month March 2018) & what a relief.
Texts take up to 4days to send to people in my hometown never mind anywhere else.
Their customer service had two people who insisted they didn't sell me my phone yet I've been in contract like I said above. His name was Mohammad &:he was extremely rude.
I gave up ringing them & have waited to leave.
I'll never ever go back to them.
Go elsewhere.
I had asked for my 10% commission for the charity of choice to go to the PDSA. To this day in don't think they got a penny cos in my later complaints to customer service I asked about it but he said he knew nothing about it.
Please don't waste your time. Go elsewhere or be disappointed 😆
Awful company
Awful company, awful customer service. Been waiting 9 months for a refund. And now their ignoring the ombudsman. Yet still send me a email every month asking " how I rate the customer service". I'd advise everyone to look elsewhere. If they're this bad at paying back a £7 refund it makes me question if they really pay 10% to charity.
Amazing customer service & mobile provider 2nd to none!
TPO is the most reliable, responsive, helpful company I have ever dealt with not to mention the very added &appreciated bonus of the cheapest price plans as well.
Their customer service team respond quickly & efficiently to all enquiries by messaging them via email or through their website. The only downfall is that you can't call them & have no customer service number & worse still that I did not know and become their customer years ago.
Their 10% charity donation is very admirable. I hope they continue to operate forever as I will never change provider as long as they are in business & would be gutted if they ever went out of business.
Second to none amazing everything. Thanks guys & girls keep up the excellent work & service u provide. Shame there isn't more companies like ye about.
Excellent service from tpo
Excellent service from tpo. Im paying 3.99 still for 1000 mins and it's been over a year. I get 4G data so I'm happy. I couldn't get 4G with talk talk so yea. I will stay unless the prices go up. Deal was found online comparison , not direct with too.
You have to email cs for enquiries
Data roaming does not work
I cant face giving less than 3 stars to a company which seems to have such good intentions, however it should be one or two stars really.
Good points- I have been with TPO for years and I have never been charged more than my monthly plan amount which is very reasonable, even though I think i must have gone over the data limit. Dont ask me why but a lot of things dont make sense with this company. At least this one goes in my favour! Also the charity donations of course (I am sceptical as to whether actually happen having read into the company).
Bad points- I've had a couple of extremely frustrating issues over the years. After numerous holidays and back and forth emails covering the same points I have concluded DATA ROAMING DOES NOT WORK. I have tried everything and I told them this via email after a long exchange where we were going round in circles. They did not respond.
There is no contact phone number for TPO. They were probably inundated with complaints.
The Pain in Spain ....
I'd actually always been quite happy with this company which has provided a good, reasonably-priced service for my limited needs. That was until I booked a foreign holiday.
I took the precaution of having EU Roaming set up on my account before leaving the UK and followed their instructions to the letter once I arrived in Spain.
But every time I attempted to make a call I received a pre-recorded message saying: "This number has not yet been assigned to a client".
The Customer Services people on webchat were hopeless. Instead of addressing the specific question, their default response was to send long pre-prepared answers to - mostly irrelevant - FAQs.
Although I could send texts and receive calls, it took almost five days before their technical department sorted it out and I was able to make voice calls to the UK. During this time I didn't feel like I received a poor service, it was more like no service at all.
I guess there's some truth in the old saying that you get what you pay for.
Impossible to contact this company
Impossible to contact this company, due to my bank change over who made a mess of our direct debits we both had our mobiles disconnected with no warning, logged into the account as soon as we were able, paid both bills via credit card my phone got switched back on immediately my husbands still not connected spent most of yesterday waiting for call back from this company unable to access there chat have emailed and still not connected. None of this is even our fault and cannot even telephone this company.
Very BAD!!!!!!!!
Poor customer information and service; no refund
I ordered a PAYG SIM from TPO because I wanted a more ethical choice. When it arrived it didn't work and I discovered my phone was not compatible with their network. Sadly I had already bought credit in expectation of it working, which they refuse to refund me, even though I am unable now or ever to make use of it. The customer service team answer emails quickly enough, but just go round in circles saying they can't refund credit that has been applied, and never give a serious explanation for why that is: the answer is obviously that there is no good reason. So much for them being a company with high moral standards...
No problems as long as there are no…
No problems as long as there are no problems. But when something does go wrong, TPO is not a good fixer of those problems, and is even worse at customer service/information. Prices on PAYG are cheap, but I could no longer recommend TPO. I fear it will not be long before the outfit goes under. I am sad about that. I had hoped for better.
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. I purchased a Sim-only deal for my daughter's phone but quickly discovered there was no data cap so an initially cheap plan became very expensive. After a few shock bills, I tried to contact them to discuss this which is when the nightmare started. I took over two weeks before I actually got to speak to anyone and then they were rude and didn't really care. They weren't prepared to support me in any way resolving the issue so I left. Best move I ever made.
I almost never write reviews but was so appalled at the way they dealt with my enquiry I felt compelled in this instance to write a review. For the sake of spending a little bit more, I would recommend going with a more established provider.
Not Happy! Glos
Absolute nightmare
Absolute nightmare. Save your money and sanity. Spend a bit more with an established provider. I left TPO after discovering that they don't support call forwarding. I got the PAC code from TPO and transferred to Three. The porting process failed (i've never experienced this before) and now my mobile phone is number is no longer recognised. Three have blamed TPO for not porting the number correctly and now TPO have washed their hands of me. Stay away from this sham of a mobile phone company.
