I really enjoyed the course, and they have a great customer service too.

The Power Digital Marketing

I started my PowerMBA journey almost two years ago and the main MBA program was outstanding value for money and highly recommended as I have previously reviewed and testified and is an opinion that I standby.

A few months into the main MBA program I simultaneously engaged with the Power Digital Marketing Program as a member of the first cohort of this program. The quality of this course in comparison to the main MBA program is in my opinion very very poor. During my time following this program I have provided vast amounts of feedback that has simply been ignored so as I struggled with my journey I stopped providing further as I simply was not being listened to. Despite thepowermba professing to want honest feedback, my experience has been that they only want feedback when it is of a positive nature so true feedback appears to not really be their desire.

With the main MBA program my daily ritual and discipline was to do my class (one per day) and keep as close to being fully up to date with my classes as I could. Apart from the odd vacation day, I was able to do this to its completion around 18 months later, as the program was engaging and I simply wanted to and looked forward to coming back for more.

On starting the Digital Marketing Program I simply tagged this same ritual onto the end of my main program routine although from quite early on I found that I wasn't able to maintain this discipline as the content and presenter were just not engaging.

I went through a personal battle with this and tried very hard to stick with it but on completion of my main MBA program I soon found that this was almost impossible for me as the classes were poorly put together, uninteresting and not engaging at all.

On several occasions after taking a variety of different length breaks and then returning to the program in order to try and complete all of the modules (something that I was committed to doing) and then make a fully balanced review of the program I would return to find that things were still the same and that the content hadn't improved at all.

Finally, today after completing 6 (almost 7, just 2-3 classes short) of the 9 modules of the program, my subscription has timed out so I failed.

It is my opinion that thepowermba should want to hear this feedback to understand why I failed as surely this could be the same experience others are having. However, they have been uninterested.

Customer service and understanding your customers is something that is very important to me and despite me reaching out to their team, they have failed at every turn to grasp this, ask the right questions or listen whatsoever.

Overall, from someone who was a big fan of their product and who would have liked to have joined a value for money subscription program with The PowerMBA, they have turned me into a person that will not consider them as a training provider going forward due to their poor quality customer service.

In finalising, my advice to anyone considering joining The Power Digital Marketing program would be to steer clear of it and look elsewhere as it is not in my opinion anything like advertised.

Whilst I appreciate thepowermba taking the time to reply to my review, I standby my original comments regarding the digital marketing program and despite them stating that my comments had been listened to I strongly disagree with this as that is not my experience. Furthermore, why would I have any interest in reaching out to them further or spending extra money when the program was poor and so far they haven't listened or acted with integrity.

It offers an opportunity to adopt an alternative content to the traditional MBA which does not fully apply to the disruptive area in which I find myself. At the same time recognized professionals in the same area are also valuable. Experience and concrete examples are essential.
On the other hand, I believe that it is possible to improve the possibility of limited access to the content after finishing the MBA. For example, being able to access the student's 20 best classes.

The begining of the couse had plenty of insightful interviews and real caes applied to almost every class. Unfortunately this wore off as the curse advanced.

ThePower Business School really does live up to its purpose of democratizing business education. I'm sure like almost every PowerMBA alum, having looked into a number of MBA programs which I discounted on the basis of entry requirements, cost or the practical consideration of how I was going to schedule a busy timetable of lectures whilst I was working, I decided to go for ThePower Business School's PowerMBA.

Whilst it's not an accredited MBA program (i.e. recognized by AACSB, AMBA,or EQUIS/EFMD) and therefore doesn't have the cachet of accredited programs, it's much more affordable, it's ultra-flexible (you can study at your own pace and easily fit the ~15 minute learning modules into your daily routine) and more importantly, it covers the same kind of curriculum as a traditional MBA, albeit not to quite the same depth.

The program is based around a number of modules on business model innovation, lean startup, business & marketing strategy, entrepreneurship & fundraising, digital marketing, leadership, finance & accounting, and HR & Talent Management, and within each of the modules, there are interviews and case studies with some of the worlds' most recognized and disruptive companies, including Airbnb, BrewDog, GoogleX, N26, Netflix, Rent The Runway, Shazam, Waze, Whole Foods Market etc.

I'm a marketing director with over 30 years professional experience, and I learnt an incredible amount from the program, and have been able to put my learnings to use in my work every day. The program has certainly helped me grow in my role, and I am confident it will help me develop in my career.

For anyone thinking of doing an some kind of business learning program, including an MBA, I would recommend you look into ThePowerMBA. If you are only looking for a traditional MBA from an accredited business school, ThePowerMBA is likely not for you, but for everyone else, it might be what you're looking for.

The Power MBA is a great concept and a good method of learning through case studies, experiences of actual successful entrepreneurs, and in-depth interviews you won't get from any other programs.

People with different life and business experiences and education will view and experience the cause in totally different ways but for me;

Some modules were excellent, but others made my mind wander off, and I was not engaged.

Some classes were world-class and some were below mediocre and needs a lot of attention.

So it depends on your interest, previous education and goals on how you experience the program.

Overall I enjoyed it, refreshed some knowledge with a new perspective, gained a lot of knowledge, and broadened my view on business and new opportunities.

I believe I understand the concept and model of The Power MBA but I found most businesses do not acknowledge TPMBA as a valid educational program and attach little value to it. All of my peers and business associates see it as a nice side program to complement traditional education and experience.

At the cost, they are apprehensive to allocate valuable time to a non-accredited program not adding academic value to their resume. Most of them feel the TPMBA, not being an accredited qualification, will be a negative addition to their resume and that their peers with accredited MBA's will discount the program rather than acknowledge it.

I won't add the completion to the "Education" section of my resume but will add it under additional causes. But that is just me.

The other problem I had was the lack of valuable class notes or the total lack of notes altogether.

Some class notes were detailed and well presented, others were wanting and then others needed a lot of attention. Some classes don't need notes but in some cases it is necessary.

Yes, some class notes were on par and very useful. Thank you.

From my perspective and in my opinion, I would offer students "standardized" class notes with the same structure, containing the essence of each class, it should not be a fully detailed textbook, I think that will be defeating the object of the TPMBA teaching model. It must at least contain the fundamentals of the class, the goal, the definitions, the formulas, reference books to read, and links to reference sites and tools mentioned during the class etc.

There might also be room to incorporate more engagement through automation, gamification and AI. I am sure I am preaching to the choir. 😊

I enjoyed the program and am happy with the cost of investment and general course material.

I will recommend the program to peers and colleagues, they should evaluate the cost and value through their own frame of reference.

I am still busy with the TPMBA Advance Specialization.

I had been looking for an MBA program that was flexible, relevant, and different. Plus I wanted to study and not have a massive debt at the end. I found the curriculum very relevant and current. It still teaches you the same general subjects you would get in a "tradiational" MBA program, but was presented in a very practical and meaningful way.

I found it an easy way to learn, and I was able to use my learnings immediately in my own work. I would recommend this program to anyone who is looking for practical and current business knowledge that is taught by experts in the business world. People who are out there doing it and living it. It was an amazing experience and it has boosted both my career and my personal knowledge.

First the pros:
- The knowledge they transmit is intresting and usefull!
- The Tests are less reality based and more lesson based, which was a little frustrating but acceptable

The cons:
- You get scamed, well maybe trusting was a little bit of my fault as well...
I have asked the sales guy calling me for an offer if i have any time in the world to finish my studys, because if not i wont subscribe, had a lot of things around back then.
One month ago a girl from the power MBA called me and told me that i need to pay if i want to continue my studies. I was caught by suprise and explained her the situation, she offered me a month for free if i book another 6 as compensation.

This is pure scam in my oppinion, they lie to you to make the sale and try to charge you afterwards.

Maybe it is mentioned in the contract, that your access will end after 2 years and you need to pay again a couple of hundret Dollars.

But stupid as i was, i have thought their employees would tell you the truth and even if they dont, that the company would at least compensate that behavior. So i cant only blame them.

SUMMARY:
Not many companys in the DACH Region accept their Master, they scam you, but if you just want to have a limted access to some intresting interviews.
Go for it!
