Bad customer service

I had a few cleans with the company with no issues until the last one.
I booked a 3 bedroom clean and paid for that only to have one bedroom cleaned. This isn't the main issue and reason for the one star, it's the response and attitude of manager. Ben was very condescending and dismissive. Saying they have been doing this for 8 years with no issues is not justification for why a clean was not completed.
It wasn't clear prior to the booking that there is time limitation. I also disagree the flat needed that time to be cleaned
As I said, it's not the incomplete job that frustrated me, it's the attitude

Thank you for speaking with me over the phone, I appreciate you taking the time to raise your concerns with me directly. I also wanted to respond here and provide some context around what we discussed so there is no miscommunication.

I appreciate your feedback and take it on board. I completely understand why you would feel frustrated. I would also like to highlight that you have booked our services several times previously and until now we have never received a complaint or a review from you. For that reason, it was quite disappointing for your first review left to be a one-star when the situation arose due to the deeper level of cleaning required in your apartment.

The team noted that the condition of your apartment was closer to a deep end of tenancy clean, including large amounts of rubbish ( 5 x bin bags) and a deeper level of cleaning required overall. Because of this, the time allocated for a standard domestic clean did not allow for the entire property to be completed. I would also like to stress that our cleaning teams work extremely hard and always aim to deliver the best possible results within the allocated time, as we have done previously in your apartment and many other apartments on a daily basis.

I will always be transparent and straightforward with customers, my intention during the call is to explain the process we follow and provide context around why the clean could not be fully completed within the allocated time. I did provide full context during our phone conversation.

You also mentioned in your review that only one bedroom was cleaned. This is not true. As mentioned during our call, several key areas of the apartment were completed by the team. The kitchen, main bathroom, en-suite bathroom, living room & hallway were all cleaned. Two bedrooms were unfortunately left due to the time required to address the deeper level of cleaning required.

Our domestic cleaning teams operate within a set timeframe for each booking which you advised you were unaware of. Again this is untrue as I have checked myself on the app & when booking, it clearly states the time that will be spent in the apartment on a domestic clean.
If the property requires a deeper level of cleaning than expected, the team will prioritise the most important areas to ensure the key spaces are completed.

Not professional at all

Not very professional. Booked for an end of tenancy clean based on them being the recommended company for our building. Took 3 days/separate attempts to actually finish the clean. Didn’t finish the clean (hallway, whole bathroom was left) on the day booked, had to message and ask only to find out that they ran out of time. This was not communicated without me chasing it up. They agreed to come the following day which they did, but only cleaned some oven trays and still did not finish the cleaning job. Tried to contact Ben with no answer and no communication again as to why the job wasn’t finished. We had to vacate the flat on both these days so they could clean which was inconvenient. Only heard back 2 days later once we had already moved out that they would come back. We were still charged by our landlord for the ceiling fixtures and bedside table not being cleaned. I understand sudden personal circumstances mean you can’t work but I fail to understand the poor communication and the constant need to chase things up. No apology offered at any stage. If you’re too busy to finish a job or do it properly, don’t take it on!

Hi Sinthu, thank you for taking the time to write a review. Thank you also for speaking with myself earlier on the matter. It is important we listen to any feedback customers relay to us. Just to summarise our conversation, I understand you had booked a full end of tenancy clean booked in on your requested day. As part of the end of tenancy clean, we always ask that all items, personal belongings and food are fully packed away in the apartment. This ensures we can do a full end of tenancy clean to the specification required. When our team arrived, belongings were still in wardrobes, food items in cupboards, kitchen utensils were still present. We understand you were in the process of moving and some boxes were made up, but items were still visible, making it more challenging for the team. Upon vacating the apartment, all items would need to be packed away. As you were still in the process of moving, I emailed the manager and rescheduled the clean to be completed the following Monday, so the apartment would be fully vacant. The oven needed commercial oven gel to stay on due to the heavy amount of burnt carbon. The team arrived the next day to complete the oven only, as instructed by myself. The following Monday the full end of tenancy was completed to the standard required. This should of been communicated better to you on the day.
In regards with the extra charge, this was for maintenance touch ups, which isn’t part of the end of tenancy clean. Any cleaning missed, our team would go back and resolve, free of charge, as this is included in your end of tenancy quote. The cleaning was completed to specification and signed off by the onsite team. There was a charge for a mattress clean, as this is separate. I have since spoken to the manager and they have removed this charge for you. I am also willing to deduct £30 as a gesture of good will. Thank you again for your feedback Sinthu, I am happy we have resolved this matter and you are happy with the outcome. Many thanks.

Lazy job and ironically unprofessional

Would not recommend unless you want to be charged twice for your end of tenancy clean, and ironically very unprofessional:
I had an end of tenancy clean at the end of September which Ben was very helpful to organise and clear with the pricing.
The actual clean however was sub-standard, resulting in me being charged an £80 cleaning fee by our letting agent. This included a coffee table and fridge shelf that literally needed a wipe, leading me to believe they didn’t even bother trying to clean them. The worst part however was that Ben specified the £235 cleaning fee included an oven clean. The oven had been cleaned, but our letting agent picked up a significant amount of crumbs and food remnants in and around the oven, meaning the cleaners had done a very lazy job. All of this was photographed, so disputing it would have been pointless. The things that were missed during the clean of my flat suggest they do not “take absolute care and attention to detail”, nor clean to a “professional standard”, both of which they claim.
I first contacted Ben to see if he would subsidise the cleaning deduction that we were charged. He responded by accepting that some bits had been missed, but said they would have been a 5 minute job to do (which is true, but for £235 you would expect a proper job to have been done). He then said that I would have to dispute the cleaning fee with my letting agent, even though it was due to an extremely poor and lazy job from his cleaning team.
Having me contact my cleaning company to go back and do their job correctly is not realistic. This would likely cause delays to letting agent renting out the flat to the next tenants, which is why the £80 charge cleaning fee was required as it was probably a last minute call to get some cleaners in as soon as possible.

Firstly, thank you for your feedback. Feedback is important to us and I can ensure you we take absolute care and attention to detail on end of tenancy cleans. We complete over 50 end of tenancy cleans a week, cleaned to a professional standard. In regards to your clean, on this occasion some of the cleaning aspects did have missed bits which could have been easily resolved with the letting agent. Human error may occur on cleans and our policy on this is quite simple. We will always return free of charge to rectify any cleaning issues as this is part of your cleaning guarantee. Sadly however we wasn’t given the opportunity to resolve the missed bits with the letting agent (as you said, it would have been a 5 minute job, so this does not warrant a £80 charge). We would have happily gone back to resolve as you paid for a full end of tenancy clean. Instead the letting agent instructed a different cleaning company to attend which they have then charged you an £80 cleaning fee. This charge should have been disputed with the tenancy deposit scheme, as correct procedure. This has resulted in miscommunication, an unfair outcome for you as the customer and I understand your frustration. We have raised this issue with the agent to ensure tasks are followed through with the original cleaning contractor from beginning to end. Thank you again for your feedback.

I used this company for my end of tenancy cleaning, as I had to hand over the flat professionally cleaned. Very happy with the result and the prompt service. Would definitely recommend.

Great Clean / Easy to deal with / Competitive Pricing

I used the Professional Cleaning Co for the first time last week. I contacted them at very short notice with very specific requirements. They were very happy to oblige and arrived on time and came across very professional. The clean was to a very high standard and I have already booked them for another. I had a great overall experience after being let down by other companies in the area previously. I have already recommended the Professional cleaning Co to a friend who has also used them and had similar positive feedback.

Great Agency Relationship

Excellent service.

Excellent service. My initial enquiry was responded to quickly and professionally, giving me full confidence in the service. Booking was easy to arrange, and from then on everything was handled quickly and efficiently. The cleaning was carried out to a very high standard - i couldn't find a single thing that had been missed!
Overall, I was highly impressed, and would not hesitate to recommend the service, or to use it again.
