I am new to counseling and started my practice completely from scratch. Business and technology have never been my strengths, but I knew from the beginning that I wanted a cash-based practice, without insurance, and to focus on a niche market.

The staff are helpful , responsive and supportive. They know what works for effective therapy websites and I ended up with a beautiful website that I am very proud of. The video tutorials and assistance during office hours are also helpful and I surprised myself by learning how to create and execute a google ads campaign with which I had some early success . And now I know how to run an ad campaign when I need more referrals

I am so grateful to TPA for the support that they gave me during a very difficult time. I experienced a great deal of unexpected difficulties in my life after signing with TPA. TPA was very supportive and really helped me to keep going. They helped me create a beautiful website that was beyond my expectations and the lessons and support calls around learning networking, Google Ads, etc were immensely helpful. I really appreciated that I could go at my own pace and hang out on calls to get my questions answered, fears soothed and listen and learn from others. Not very impressed. Once program was purchased never heard another word from them. I wouldn't recommend.

TPA has transformed the way I conceptualize myself as a business owner. Over the past eight months, I have gained tremendous confidence as well as a step-by-step understanding of how to build my practice. TPA breaks down the complexities of this journey with a comprehensive and practical video training series. This is so helpful to refer back to throughout the process when I need to more fully absorb TPA's wisdom. The weekly hands-on virtual conference calls are personalized and have supported my ability to remain accountable, organized and on-task. Amy, Jeremey and Laila are such professionals. They offer creative and practical solutions that move you toward your goals. They have been consistently responsive and invested in supporting my group practice. We feel lucky to have found TPA and feel confident that this support will scaffold our growth for years to come. TPA is worth the investment, but only if you are willing to put in the work.

All of my expectations for the program were met and exceeded by TPA. To truly benefit from the experience, I think it's important to clarify your goals and expectations up front. The program does a nice job of guiding you through this process and giving you a clear vision of where you want to go and the path to getting there.

My experience in the year I have been in the program has been very empowering, learning how to do the work myself to build my practice rather than paying someone to do things for me (i.e., webpages, marketing) and getting mediocre results. Rather than giving me a fish to eat for the day, TPA has taught me how to fish so I can use the tools for the life of my practice.

I was very reluctant to do organic marketing, but after several months I found it really helpful to make connections in my community and build a resource list for my clients. Now, when I am fully booked or receive requests that do not match my expertise, I have trusted individuals to whom I can refer clients because we have established a connection.

The hardest part of the program is undoubtedly Google Ads. I also found it very frustrating to keep up with the changes that Google makes. However, in my opinion, figuring things out and making them work is just part of running a private practice. Every day, I encounter challenging issues to resolve, and I appreciate TPA's prompt assistance in devising solutions.

I'm grateful to TPA's assistance in reaching my goals. I exceeded my goal of obtaining 10 to 12 self-pay clients per week. The goal was met seven months ago and allowed me to spend the time I needed to write a workbook for eating disorder and trauma recovery. It's being published by Johns Hopkins University Press next year.

If you want to learn how to build a private practice, invest in yourself and join TPA. It's worth it.

Just finished my program last month. It is not a scam, there are real people with real ideas and real support (although not nearly enough of it and no phone support which I found difficult.) It is extremely time consuming and very technologically based. Overall, the program did not work for me. I have a few more clients than I did when I started but I don't think that more than one or two are though the program. I don't think google ads works at all, I think google is changing faster than TPA can keep up and while I was doing the program there were constant glitches and changes because google had changed something. I wrote and rewrote my google ads landing page multiple times and got very little inquiries. I paid a lot of money and I doubt I will ever get enough business through the TPA enhancements to compensate for what I paid. I had been very excited and am very disappointed. Would not recommend.

It was incredible to discover and overcome my aversion to sales and transform my limited beliefs about money. One of the program’s greatest strengths lies in its exceptional team. I'm going to share my experience so far with TPA. I reunited with my college sweetheart, and I married him and moved back to KY from GA last summer. In GA, I had a salaried university position and very successful part-time private practice.

I contacted TPA last August, and I chickened out of using them to achieve my dream. Instead, I found a salaried position I had to commute an hour and fifteen minutes for at a practice that had recently been bought by a large corporation. After working for them for a few months, I was fired from my salaried position due to a credentialing issue related to opting out of Medicare in GA, which was beyond my control to undo for 2 more years. I had never been fired in my life.

I contacted TPA again in desperation to try to build a practice overnight. TPA has delivered. I went from having 10 or less weekly clients to being full in less than a month with the help they gave me with my Psychology Today profile, my other online directory, and organic marketing strategies. I filled up in a way that has included some ideal clients but many insurance clients through an online platform to help them utilize their insurance.

Let me be clear my time from 10 or less clients to full and attracting ideal clients was less than a month with TPA. I am currently finishing the final steps to complete my website, and I am excited to be able to turn all my efforts toward obtaining my ideal clients now. TPA made the difference between failing in a new environment without known referral sources and being full before I could even begin to worry if I could make it financially after being fired. I cannot express my gratitude enough to everyone at TPA. Trust them and this process. It works, and I can't wait to complete the next steps! Now I am full, and I just want to say how much I appreciate everyone!

I joined Therapy Practice Accelerator (TPA) when I was starting my private practice from scratch, and, though it was an investment, it was worth every penny. What TPA teaches is not found in any MSW program. I knew how to be an effective and ethical clinician, but I did not know how to attract ideal clients or evaluate/attend to the health of a small business. TPA gave me an essential business education that most therapists never receive and, as a result, I'm not beholden to insurance companies or any other limitations. I've gained the knowledge I needed to build a sustainable, values-aligned practice. TPA provided the structure, accountability, and support to help me implement it. They held my hand when I needed guidance, but they also expected me to show up and do the work. Accountability is built in. This is a program that works if you work it. The combination of mentorship and personal responsibility was exactly what I needed to grow. As a result, I’ve developed not just a thriving cash-pay private practice, but both a mindset and skillset I can carry forward...very important given the uncertainty of the season our country is in. If you're serious about building a practice that reflects your purpose and your dreams AND serves your clients well, TPA is an incredible resource. Please know, the brilliant, kind, skilled, and talented TPA staff will not do all of the work for you, but they will empower you, and that's a true gift.
