Terrible portion sizes, no resolutions offered, poor experience unfortunately
Unfortunately a thoroughly disappointing experience. The pub had been done out lovely. However we were extremely dissatisfied with our food. We all ordered the 3 course meal. 3 of the table ordered cod and chips. Although a restaurant I would still expect a good size portion…. What they were met with was 8 chips & a fish finger size piece of ‘cod’. When I questioned this I was met with ‘the lunch fish is smaller than the evening’ & the 3 course meals are smaller than on their own meals. None of which had been explained prior. As nice as the staff were, no resolution was offered. I had to ask my guests if they’d like another bit of fish, unfortunately they’d had 1 bite & only 1 bite left. I had a steak sandwich but to my surprise was t asked how I’d like my steak cooked, when I queried this I was told ‘it comes how it comes’. The service was incredibly slow at 45 minutes for a started but only 4 tables were taken in the pub. Unfortunately no resolutions were offered and for that reason it was an utterly disappointing service & I can not recommend eating here
