Horrific experience with Thermador customer service...

I purchased a full suite of Thermador kitchen appliances including a hood in 2018. The master board in the hood went bad after only 3 years. That's obviously not great, but the way the company has handled it is what is really appalling. After the initial service diagnosis, they said they'd order the part and come back to do the repair when it was available. Fast forward almost 1.5 years from my initial call for service. Now after many many emails and calls to follow up, no part seems to be available. Given repair is not possible, customer service finally filed a claim for a new hood a few months ago. After waiting still more time, they came back to me with the 'generous' offer for me to replace the hood at a reduced purchase cost of $1200. Seems absurd that I am asked to pay for a whole new hood when they couldn't provide the part to fix the hood after only 3 years AND I waited all this additional time to try and repair it. Incredibly frustrating. Shame on you Thermador! I do not recommend purchasing any products from Thermador after this experience.

Customer service is a oxymoron when it comes to Thermador. The worst service company ever. Do NOT buy a Thermador product if you think you will ever need services. I have been waiting 4 months for them to repair a stove top and it is still not fixed.

Please avoid it

Please avoid it, purchased brand new gas cooktop , start smelling gas , tech found leak, parts on back order. No replacement for brand new gas leaking appliance. Customer service is horrible. Just supper expensive brand with poor quality

Purchased a microwave a year and a half…

Purchased a microwave a year and a half ago. It was finally delivered in August and at no point has it ever worked. Thermador delays replacing it by asking for more repair visits. Their own technicians have said it needs to be replaced. Customer Service, while nice, seems fairly incompetent. They don't seem to know what is going on with cases. I would not recommend the appliance at this point. Very worrisome that it has never worked and little to no effort is made to replace it.

Avoid thermador at all costs …

Don’t ever purchase a dual fuel Thermador range. I spent $18k on a pro range. I had hot cocoa boil over onto the induction cooktop. It leaked into the internal mechanism and short circuited the entire unit. They sent out a repair person who said it was my fault and not covered under warranty and it would be $4k to repair. This is a design flaw! Buyer beware!

RIPOFF AND MONEY GRAB

Called company to repair my Thermador stove. Gave them model and serial number as well as what was wrong. When repair guy walked into the door and looked at the stove he tells me " There are no parts available for this stove" . Then he asks me how am I paying for this call. I reply if there are no parts available why did they send you out and make the repair appointment ? His reply was customer service does not have that knowledge. A TOTAL RIPOFF AND A DISGRACE OF A COMPANY LIKE BOSCH/THERMADOR

Thermador: Horrible customer service (if you can even…

Horrible customer service (if you can even call it that). We have been mostly happy with our Thermador appliances (full kitchen suite bought in 2016) but their customer service is just bizarre. We have been trying to get one of our ovens repaired for MONTHS. The thermostat has always been wonky (especially for such an expensive appliance -- 6 burner, double oven). It got less dependable recently and I called for a service check. It took 5 weeks for someone to come. The technician diagnosed the problem and set a repair date another month out. He failed to show up. No phone call. Just a no show. In the afternoon, after waiting at home all day, I got an email with a new repair date. No apology. No explanation. Just a new date ... another month out. Technician was a no show then, too, and for two other appointments. Four missed appointments. Four days waiting at home for a repair. On this last missed appointment I didn't even get an email with a new date. I called customer service and spoke to a lovely agent who wasn't able to help so she tried to get a manager to help. No one was available. They would call me. After a week with no call, I sent them an email on their customer service form. I got a response saying they would contact me "soon." That was a week ago. I have heard nothing. It is really really bizarre -- worst customer service I have ever experienced. I wish we had gone with another brand. I suspect any other brand would be better than this.

Waste Money = Thermador

My wife and I built our dream home, purchased what we thought were $25K in premium appliances from Thermador. It has been a complete nightmare. We have had multiple repairs to our fridge and freezer. Three years in, we just spent $1,300 on additional repairs (many repairs before this as well). I called them and shared my experience, even sent the latest repair information. Zero help, no empathy or support given the situation. Customer service just said we are out of luck given the repairs were completed. I never write reviews, but for once I feel a company needs to be held accountable for selling crap. We are so disappointed with how we have been treated and the experience with Thermador and hope nobody ever has to deal with what we have gone through.

Excuses = Thermador customer service

We have all Thermador appliances and their customer service department is HORRIFIC. I will NEVER purchase Thermador again. The oven control panel went out just before 2 years so out of warranty. The icemaker freezes over so I had to purchase an external Ice maker. When you call to speak to customer service it takes forever and then they schedule and no show. I call back and they say the parts are backordered. They never call when they say they will. I have to keep calling them and it is a new excuse they should have the parts soon but then they have to verify the parts work before they will even schedule. Which they say they will escalate but when I call to check it hasn't been escalated and it will take 2 months to get on the schedule. So it has been 6 month since my initial service call and still not on the schedule.

Dysfunctional and overpriced…

Dysfunctional and overpriced appliances. Shoddy dealer. No customer support. Interminable waits calling to get help. Expensive "luxury" line products are A. supposed to work and B. be customer oriented. Thermador does neither. Trying to trade in a brand new suite of their kitchen junk for a real luxury brand with another dealer shady enough to resell them as new. BTW, many of their dishwasher models are on recall and you know what that means in terms of engineering competence and manufacturing quality control.

I have always wanted to change the look of my kitchen, It has always bordered me to find the right measurement, right appliances to fit exactly the color, design i have always wanted. Being an Interior designer, I go for Quality and not quantity, I go for taste and not beauty. With my work i wanted a Smart, kitchen so i can prepare dinner in the morning, put in the oven and cook before i get home for dinner. With the world changing my kids wanted us to welcome the smart world. After checking lots of appliances and home installation websites, we came across Thermardor. They had exactly what we were looking for, From the time i sent them a request until when my kitchen home appliances , dish washers, washing machine and everything was installed, i can't express enough the professionalism they have, I worked with three or four members from their team, Who designed the kind of cooker i wanted, dish washer and also gave me tips on how to paint my kitchen and remodel so it fits just right and cozy, I will recommend them for any one willing to buy both Smart and normal kitchen appliances. Their prices are great with a good payment plan which will not hinder your income. They are great at what they do. I will recommend them to any one willing to remake their kitchen to be part of the Smart World experience.
