Mr.Newton, I am extremely satisfied with the program, yours teaching style and knowledge.

I have learned a lot, and my photography skills and knowledge have been improved.

The assignments are very fun, and your teaching style is very motivating and integrating.

Your are doing a great job in general and not complaints so far.

I think that your best bits are:

The teaching method, your videos and curriculum, you (Marc), being very hands on and integrated in everything (from costumer service, teaching, coordinating, and I bet in the administrative role also.)
Even better if…

The only thing that comes to my mid of improving this, would be taking the class in person and not virtually, but that is something almost imposible now a days and considering that the audience is all around the world. This is a good thing, and I am glad of your impact around the Globe.

Marc, congratulations and keep up the good work, you are an excellent teacher and have develop an extraordinary curriculum, teaching style, platform and institution. I am glad that I have enrolled in your program and the challenge for me will be to be able to finish everything.

I joined not sure what I would find , I am so pleased to say I am really enjoying the classes & challenges. I had a good knowledge but I’m finding stuff on my camera I didn’t know I had . Everything is so concise and explained in such a way I’m enjoying not only revision but learning .
The monthly challenges are testing me to step out of uncertainty and the people in the school are so nice regardless of skill level. I’m no professional but I know I can achieve better skills now . I even have more use for instagram - I am following some really nice people
I Can not recommend the school and all within enough , it’s a l pleasure and I’m enjoying ,… no look forward to trying more . It’s simply brilliant .

The best part - the community spirit , and getting really helpful advice and critics . It makes you feel comfortable and willing to put yourself out there ,
I do love the easy way you explain each part , easy to learn , you show and explain what everything means and does . I now understand the terms more and what they do

I first took the TSOP photography course in 2019 and found it to be by far & away the best course of its kind anywhere.

Marc , thanks for the email , I have been working through the Lightroom course and it has helped tremendously with my editing skills. I follow your videos which I find helpful and informative, really enjoying getting out and practising which is what it’s all about you have to get out and see what works and what doesn’t great learning curve up here in Inverness we are spoilt for choice with landscape , regards Marcus

Brilliant and easy courses to follow, everything explained in simple to follow videos, watched alot of YouTube tutorials but these seemed to be more one on one, and you learn at your pace.

Starting at the first module ‘The beginners Photography Course’ the way Marc went through each section it gave me a greater understanding of the science of photography each part carefully explained, followed by go out and put into practice what was taught. The ‘Complete Guide to Lightroom’ again was taught in the same principle carefully and step by step. Photoshop course again taught on the same principle as others but far more complicated to comprehend.
TSOP also have many more courses that are available to members covering a wide variety of photography genre
TSOP also have monthly assignments for members again covering a wide variety of photography subjects and each are given a constructive mid and end term critique, also each month there is live Q&A session

This was left in relation to a claim that was made from the owner of the site, I used a false name to hide behind. Well I didn't as I use a different account on here, to the one I signed up to TSOP.
I have now been kicked out of the school of photography and refunded. All for leaving this feedback.
My issues
Couldn't access courses on the site, the search option is pointless, with keyword association nonexistent.
Although I paid for all the courses not all are visible, you need to search them bit not knowing the names of each course (how would I know) and the fact the search is useless, it's very difficult indeed to find the course you want.
Many emails were exchanged explaining my issues but apparently I'm at fault and not the poor design of the site. Generic replies given no further questions were asked. Simply I was at fault.
If you manage to access the courses the content is first class and probably the best I have purchased and extremely reasonably priced.
Shame management don't help as quickly as booted people who need assistance.

In response to your reply, yes I continued to use the course. The content was not my issue. getting the content was and the no assistance from you. You stated 8 replies and yes that's correct but none of them any help. You stated and I quote we are not web designers, but not once admit the website is poor at best.
I have access to all content WHERE IS IT, why hide it and need to search it out.???
Like I said I left feedback due to the issues I faced, not once did I ask for a refund or close my account, you took that option from me.
In relation to other comments left that's none of your business, perhaps get your own house in check before worrying about them.
Let's hope people will make judgement from this and STAY AWAY FROM TSOP.

Shame, the YouTube videos look in depth and very helpful. But the website is very complicated and over engineered. The after sales support is, well nonexistent.

I am delighted to have joined TSOP. I had been mulling over joining for a while before actually taking the plunge, just wish I had decided earlier.
The video tutorials are very informative without blinding the beginner with jargon and too much information. The whole experience to date has been really informal and laid back, for myself this has been a relief. The learning is more like a conversation rather than a stiff purely academic feeling.

I am so impressed with what you have set up. I love the interactions on the FB group. The monthly assignments are great and get me thinking out of the box.

I’ve done several of the courses - the artwork one, studio shooting and working thro PS. They are pitched at exactly the right level for me. I will do more and the pricing for annual membership is about right imo.

Thanks for writing. The School of Photography is a blessing to me. Your courses > your instructors > the meticulous detail in the way you teach is something I have been looking for, for a long time. General statement: The courses you offer, the detailed instruction which is presented thru' reading & videos. & the (almost) hands on training we get, is second to none. And You sincerely care !

Your best bits: WOW! Detailed instruction on all informaton. Desire to help each photographer learn what they are looking for. You present everything to the individual, it is our job to learn it, if we choose to, but you are always their for our backup. Seeing the instructors in training video help me to relate much easier which allows me to relax & learn better.

Even better if: I had found the school many years ago. Also would be better if I could learn more at a quicker pace.

1, I’m currently doing the beginners course. I’m half way through at the moment and I’m loving it. I’m learning more than I did in a one day face to face course with a local photographer.

2, the best bits are the tasks at end of each lesson. So you have to get out there and practice what you have been learning. Also how The course is broken down in to bite size units. Which makes it far easier to learn. I have also bought the book. So I can quickly look up that if I need reminder. The monthly challenges are great to. This ones from the hip was fun. Although I only got one or two half decent photos.

I have just signed up as a member of TSOP and have started the beginners course. It is fantastic and really easy to follow. They have a great way of teaching and I am learning loads and really enjoying it at the same time.

The instructor, Marc Newton, is fantastic! He's really engaging and has a great way of teaching. The course is fun, fast paced and you learn a lot. The way he breaks down the fundamentals of photography is better than many other, college-level courses I have reviewed. I'm thinking of sharing with my 11 year old niece who is a budding photographer. I really can't say enough good things about this course ... take it, well worth the price!

I really like the way Marc starts with the basics, then builds on each step of the way to create a complete understanding of the subject. By doing examples on your own after each lesson, the knowledge stays longer than just watching someone else to the work. I usually don't remember exactly how he did what he did the first time, so being able to go back to review parts of the lesson really helps. Thanks.

I have found this the easiest course to follow. I am just working my way through the beginners course. I have only been doing photography for the last year and have taken a couple of other courses and finally by following yours things are making sense!!
I love the support that other members give, I must try and get the confidence to join in with this and posting some images!
The projects are great and I’ve been looking at the fab work others are doing.
Look forward to starting the other courses.

I love everything about this! I am a beginner and I loved the beginner's course. No other course has come even close to this. So much detailed information and the teaching is spot on! The Facebook group is great. I was in trouble with my camera when I started the course and so many friendly people came to my help.

The School of Photography is an absolutely amazing online photography course….so much better than I thought it would be. It covers the basics simply and then goes into more detail in certain areas. I really can’t rate it highly enough. There is a Members group is a fab way to get feedback on your photos and also see what others are doing. Each month there is a task (last month was Street Photography) which keeps everyone engaged and building a really good online community.

Marc’s teaching skills are clear and simple in every day language! He makes it so easy to understand tricky areas of photography…and he is so normal!!! If you are thinking about signing up…..go ahead you definitely won’t regret it.

I have nothing bad to say about TSOP (so far!).
I have completed the basic course, and although I was familiar with a fair bit of the content, I learned something new at each stage and having all the teaching on a helpful order was indeed helpful to me.

I've started the Lightroom course, which is great as I was pretty much a beginner at LR. 
Current workload and a severe lockdown here (just outside Sydney, Australia) have really cramped the opportunities to get out with the camera, so progress has stalled a little for me.
Hopefully, fewer restrictions are on the horizon along with some annual leave, so time to catch up on things then.

I appreciate your approach in the videos. I think your pace is right (it suits me at least) and you do not come across as patronising, so I think you are hitting the mark there.
I also like the average length of each lesson, because it makes it fairly easy to find material to go over a second time.

I rate TSOP as very good value and look forward to working through the rest of the courses!
