I’ve been trying to find a real way to approach and understand the markets for the last seven years. Like a lot of traders, I watched countless YouTube videos, jumped from strategy to strategy, which looking back, was 100% my own fault.

What stands out with Scruffy Trader is the consistency in the way he breaks down the charts and explains market behaviour day after day after day. There’s no hiding behind hindsight or vague theory. He puts himself on the line live, explains what he is seeing, and does it repeatedly.

The group itself is also excellent. People will post opinions and/or ask questions around certain setups, and Scruff will break them down in detail so you can actually understand the thinking behind the move, not just the result.

For me, that’s the biggest difference.. the level of transparency, structure and consistency.

He shows up every day and delivers. Honestly, what more could you want...

Scruffy is the most honest one out there if you want to learn to trade. The amount of time and effort he puts in to try and help people succeed is incredible, and I wish more people would appreciate everything he does. He won't sell dreams, won't give signals and won't give shortcuts, just good, honest advice on what trading is really about. At the end of the day, trading is a job and it should be treated like a career change. It requires work and effort, and takes time to learn. I've gone through the Way of the Scruff modules and I now have a good understanding of the theory behind it. I just need to put it into practice now and start small. I've done this around working a full time job so it's taken a while, but it'll be worth it in the end. There really is no other way to learn this, and Scruff will tell you exactly how it is while injecting his own style of humour. If you're willing to learn and put the effort in, then this is definitely for you. If you want quick riches and a lambo, then carry on watching the others on Tik Tok and YouTube and keep dreaming, because that's not the reality.

I had been considering booking a one-to-one session for a little while. After speaking to a few others who had already had a session and highly recommended it, I decided to make use of a discount code and book one for myself.

Before the meeting, Gary contacted me to learn more about my trading experience and history in the markets so he could prepare properly and tailor the session to my needs. I can sometimes get nervous meeting new people, but Gary made me feel welcome and at ease immediately.

Right from the start, he reassured me that we would take as much time as needed to cover everything properly, and he stayed on the call well beyond our allotted time.
We went through an overall view of the markets, understanding how and why they move, before breaking down charts in detail and identifying key levels, reading market bias, and discussing appropriate stop placement. All of this was incredibly useful.

What stood out most to me, though, was that beyond the technical side of trading, Gary seemed genuinely interested in me as a person and in my progress. Many of us have probably been drawn in by sham “mentors” in the past who give very generic advice and treat people as just another number. This felt completely different. The session felt personal, genuine, and tailored specifically to me.

Now I just need to put into practice everything we discussed, but I wouldn’t hesitate to book another session in the future to review my progress and identify areas where I can improve further. I’d be 100% confident that I would get value from it again.

It was also extremely useful to receive a recording of the session afterwards so I can revisit it whenever I need to.

Gary is a highly skilled trader and educator. No BS and he really want to teach you. I recommend Gary to anyone who want to learn trading

If your wanting to trade seriously and not just to get rich quick, and willing to listen and put in the work, then this is the best mentor anyone could ask for … No BS straight to the point , so so many helpfull videos webinars and Scruff if the most generous man you will ever meet, he goes far and beyond if if believes you really want to succeed and put the effort in …

For me his my saving grace and i will be forever gratefull to have met him and been under his wing, his just an amazing person that’s so intelligent , straight to the point , likeable , funny , strict,, he just has it all , and his worth his weight in gold , and that’s quite allot becuase his 20 stone so enough said … Scruff i love you mate , forever gratefull to have met you mate. A great teacher to help everyone that wants to learn trading, do not join or contact if you're expecting signals however if you want to learn a skill for life and trade yourself this is definitely the place to be

Highly recommend no bs straight to the point says it how it is if your after a lambo and a mansion in Dubai after a week keep dreaming the squads for people who want to learn the right way every trades different and every trader is no one trades the same find with alot of people it.s to easy to blame everyone else when stuff doesn't go right Gary's proves it works and his win rate backs it up learnt alot from the meeting now it.s down to me to put it all together appreciate the help and your time today carnt thank you enough today look forward to another meeting

If you want to become a trader — especially a full-time day trader — I highly recommend following The Way of the Scruff modules and joining the Discord community. I’ve been learning to trade for a few years now, and I’ve never come across anyone who explains every detail of the market from A to Z in such a clear, systematic way. This is, in my opinion, the only learning path you’ll ever need.

If you’re serious about trading and learning properly then look no further than Gary (Scruffy). Forget the rolex wearing, Lambo driving frauds on YouTube. Gary sells you nothing and if you’re willing to put the time and effort in he goes above and beyond to help guide you on your way.
There are currently 53 modules (The Way of the Scruff) which are packed with information and knowledge to set you on your way.
Joined the discord group which is full of great Guys n Girls who are all on the same journey. Not had a 1 to 1 yet but that’s next on the list.

I joined the Scruffy Squad in June this year (2025). I bought the 'Way of the Scruff' videos through the website and then joined the Scruffy Squad on YouTube once I'd worked my way through the modules a couple of times. (You can also just join the Scruffy Squad on YouTube and get instant access to the modules and 100s of other videos that way too.)

Since then my trading success has taken off like it has a rocket under it. I'd been trying without Scruff's guidance for a whole year before and was just breaking even and getting despondent, but with Scruff's solid advice, the step by step Way of the Scruff which teaches you to be a stand alone trader, not just follow a system dependent on subscriptions forever, plus a few 1-2-1s to sort out some errors I was making I'm now on an 80%+ win rate and am actually making money and have been for months. Good money too.

Being part of the Scruffy Squad is so important given how alone retail traders are. The shared knowledge is huge, as is the database of videos for pretty much any issue you can think of and someone always has the right question for what I was thinking in the interactive live Zoom calls (4 each week).

Gary/Scruff amazingly responds to every question, he often makes videos to reply and fully explains every trade set up and what he is doing. Complete transparency and honesty. He gives so much to the group in time and experience, as well as a healthy dose of humour that livens it up.

I've seen so many people in the group of different levels and experience all making progress, all pulling together and supporting one another. Its an amazing thing that Gary has built and the shocker is that its affordable to most, giving value way in excess of its monetary cost.

I would have zero hesitation in recommending joining the Scruffy Squad for anyone who wants to become a real trader with real realistic results. Ignore the wannabes who hire flash cars for YouTube videos and instead invest in yourself by choosing a real trader with 20 years experience, the ability to coach and mentor and verified success that he is happy to evidence. You won't look back.

This Guy is the REAL DEAL. No pushing product or courses. Just a lazer focused on trading . He has over 20 years experience, where trading has been his sole income. I have been a squad member for 3 months now and am so impressed with the group. The information is well presented gary tells it as it is.

I joined the Scruffy Squad about a year ago after spending two years spinning my wheels with trading. After putting in the hours, watching Scruff’s content and really taking it in, I finally started to understand what it actually takes to be successful.

Trading is lonely and when you hit a down patch you can feel super isolated. I hit said down patch on my swing trading strategy.

What generally happens next is you doubt yourself throw out years of back testing and reasoning search you tube and invariably fall for the snake oil salesman with the Ferrari in his bio and the guarantees of 100000x return with a $1 account.

I've been down that road so generally I can sniff those out. My algo then sent me scruff. I popped him an email expecting a reply saying he could help me but it would cost X etc which is fair enough.

Well he replied and chatted with me and told me to hold the course effectively. The markets strange at the minute but if your system is tried and tested and most importantly your risk management is good you'll be fine..

Odd, no soliciting of business. Never had that before. This then made me realise he is as genuine as he comes across on you tube. I decided to join his group and have access to all his material for the exorbitant fee of £45!

This gives you access to all scruffs 50 well laid out modules.

I have friends and colleagues who have paid £3000 to £10000 for stuff that doesn’t come close to scruffs content.

His content is mainly centred around day trading. I'm not into day trading. I'm not built for it but his swing trading strategy which I think he should promote more is sound and I'm thoroughly back testing it on US stocks and its holding up very well.

Anyway, the part that no one want to hear and will invariably mean you won’t get to scruff until you've wasted 0000000s of £s on Ferrari educators is it’s not a signal service and its heavily focussed on risk management.

If you want to have any chance at success in trading, you need to work out how it works for you in your head and you need a SOLID risk management mindset. If you don’t have this you will fail.

Teaching someone how to trade is easy, teaching someone how to lose is the most difficult part of all.

Even a poor system has a chance with solid RM.

This is the key area with the way of the scruff.

It’s ridiculous that the guy only charges £49 for this and everything that goes with it. If you are new to trading then I would ask you join scruff. The learnings you will receive here will put you forward years.

Just finished up a call with Gary - difficult to know how best to describe it as it accomplished so many things. I suppose in a nutshell, it gave me clarity, reassurance and imparted wisdom to me that simply cannot be gained through anything other than real competence and decades of experience - and most refreshingly, without ANY of the ego that goes along with speaking to a charlatan. We had a good laugh and the call didn't feel rushed. Gary was generous with his knowledge and also super courteous and thoughtful - and all his questions were asked in the pursuit of my greater wellbeing. A rare soul indeed, this chap. The consult fee goes to a great cause. I can't speak highly enough about the experience. I'd recommend it to everyone - except I realise so much of this will fall on deaf ears. Those who are looking for easy money without the work, those who have no interest in self-mastery and take no accountability for their decisions and actions (which accounts for most people)... won't realise what gold is found here. In summary, I have a lot of time for Gary, and he's one of the most generous fellas I've ever met in terms of his willingness to share something that's so closely guarded and so valuable to so many. Thanks mate!

After speaking with Gary (Scruffy) for quite some time I found him to be very genuine, insightful and generous with his time. What you see is what you get. He knows his stuff and he’s very happy to explain it and show it, in a clear and precise way. His content feels real, heart felt and grounded and he is open about what is achievable, allowing you to see a lot of his own accounts and trades via his media content. What he is doing feels achievable with hard work and his mentorship. The 1 to 1 session was a huge stepping stone for me and hopefully I can capitalise on the 1st hand information imparted. A thoroughly enjoyable experience from a really nice person.

Some of the content is pure Gold. I have paid for more courses than I care to remember, this is up there with any of them!

I was a member of Scruff's Squad a while ago, and probably was with him for a year at least. His ethics and training is second to none in the industry and he is probably the only educator out there who really tells it like it is, and shows the reality of trading for an income rather than a speculative means of aggregating wealth.
I am not a member now, it got to the point where I was getting some confidence, and with life commitments, work, children and money couldn't commit the time to the Discord group and needed to just move away from social media, simplify, focus and take what Scruffy had taught and make it my own.
I am still in that process, and although I don't trade quite in the same way now, the way I see markets is very much based on the way that Gary and the focus on discipline and patience is a lesson that carry's through whatever strategy you choose.
If you are starting out in FOREX, or struggling then think you can do a lot worse than join up for the price of a coffee a day or so.
