I ordered pizza dough

I ordered pizza dough. They charged my account. When I checked the status, it said they were preparing my order. Three weeks later, the same status appeared. I told my credit card company to reverse the charge, which they did.

The Table Gourmet Deception

I purchased two loaves of The Essential Baking Company’s Italian bread from The Table Gourmet, an online company, on March 17, 2026.

It was expected to arrive on March 23, 2026 (according to the email that accompanied the order). Days passed. I emailed them to inquire when the item would ship.

They didn’t reply. Instead, they sent an email indicating the item was shipped on March 23, 2026. I paid for UPS ground shipping, however, they sent an Amazon Logistics tracking number, which didn’t work.

I reached out to them via their contact form to inquire about the invalid tracking. No response.

So, I contacted PayPal and explained what happened and included screenshots. PayPal ruled in my favor and refunded me on March 25, 2026.

That same day, The Table Gourmet sent me the following message:

“Hello,
We wanted to let you know that your order has been shipped. However, we’ve just received a dispute on it.

To keep things moving smoothly, could you please cancel the dispute (and/or refuse the delivery when it arrives)? Just reply to this message so we can update the order right away. Thank you!”

I did not respond to their email because PayPal already made their decision.

Their message, along with the fact that there is no way to warn others of their fraudulent business practices, is why I decided to review them here.

In addition, the order didn’t arrive, even though it was “shipped” March 23, 2026. By March 26, 2026, it hadn’t arrived.

I already received my refund from PayPal, however, I am making an effort to inform others about this company because they are apparently under the radar (no online reviews).

On March 28th, 2026, I received an email stating the order status was updated. This time it contained UPS tracking and the link worked, with the order to arrive by March 31st, 2026.

I noticed that the item is located in PA, yet they are listed as doing business in SC. I wonder why they decided to ship the item after the transaction is now officially over (PayPal ruling)?

Regardless of their intent, it is my intent that others are made aware of this situation so they can decide if they want to support this online business.

Thank you.
