Coach Jesse is amazing! When i started this tutoring business, overwhelmed would be an understatement. I was not tech savvy nor did I have much faith in someone being patient with my shortcomings. Jesse not only walked me through, she believed in me and did not judge when I finally figured out how to use my webcam, switch the toggle. She is right there helping me through every hiccup I have, checking in on me when she doesnt have to, and most importantly she believes in me, and my dream! I am soo very greatful for the amazing coach I have seeing my desire as much as I see it. The whole community is amazing but Jesse is absolutely the best!

Jess has been amazing! I have had some health issues that threw me off track and she patiently guided me back. She made sure that I no longer felt overwhelmed and knew exactly what my next steps were. I don’t know what I would do without her!

I took a leap of faith when signing up to this a few weeks back and I am glad I did. Nigel has been a great coach and has provided clarity on my tasks and given me the needed confidence to achieve them. Melle has also been really supportive and allowed for some flexibility with the program start as I was busy for my first week - highlighting the personal touch this program has provided
The road map is clear - I am someone starting from scratch in terms of business set up and I have been incredibly impressed with the pace and support.

Before joining The Teacher Project, I was passionate about teaching but had no real direction on how to turn that into a sustainable business. I struggled with structuring offers, marketing myself, and finding the confidence to step into the entrepreneurial space.

Since joining, the biggest game-changer has been the personalized coaching—especially from my coach, Matt. His guidance, honest feedback, and step-by-step approach helped me finally gain clarity. I now have a solid plan, and I know exactly what actions to take to move forward. The daily calls are like gold—they keep me on track and inspired.

The community inside the Skool platform has been incredible. Everyone is so supportive, and it truly feels like a space where you can grow, learn, and celebrate each other. I’ve never felt alone in this journey.

Some of my key wins so far: I’ve completely shifted my mindset from being “just a teacher” to a confident business owner. I’ve also launched my signature math program, booked several student calls.

The first thing you will find in this program is the sense of community. Everyone here is, or was a teacher in the classroom which creates a bond between us from day one. Being able to talk to other students and sharing wins is an amazing way to stay motivated. My experience with coaches has been equally as great. They reach out to you throughout the program multiple times a week to check on your progress and make time for you when need run into issues. I highly recommend this program for any teachers looking to take that next step outside of the classroom

I have just starting with Teacher Project. I am in the process of marketing my program. I admit that I am not a marketer by trade. So, the hardest thing for me is to market and I do get overwhelmed with the steps to implement the business. Teaching is easy for me, the setup is more difficult But, I am working with Matt and he has been very patient with me and is very clear in what steps need to be done. He always does a wrap up at the end of each meeting. Matt's coaching helped a lot.

He is there every step of the way and I have a goal this week this week to check in daily. Matt does keep his clients "on their toes".

My goal is get things situated to start tutoring in August 2025. I am positive that things will go well and Matt has had a lot of patience with me getting things going! Will post back after I am ready to teach!

I joined the OTU in January 2025. Setting up my own business was quite an exciting challenge and there was a huge amount to get my head around. OTU is packed full of useful courses and value to learn the backbones of marketing and making those crucial sales. I already knew how to teach like a pro, but was clueless about marketing and sales. In OTU I found the people who had walked the walk and now they talk the talk. I would recommend the community to anyone keen to explore new adventures in teaching.

My coach, Jessica Larson, is who made my experience great. She has such a sunny personality, while being the consummate professional. She has gone above and beyond to support me. She has been very patient when I get discouraged and is always able to turn around my negative attitude with a positive solution. She always holds me accountable un a positive way. She is a true gem and asset to the company. The thing that I believe that the company can improve is being more forthright on how technologically intensive are for a person that is good with technology. I have been overwhelmed and regret spending so much money when I don't feel comfortable with online teaching.

And part of growing your business means learning how to communicate that value. Following up with parents. Asking good questions. Understanding what people need and offering real solutions. If you skip that part or hand it off too soon, you lose touch with what really makes your business yours.

Some days, it’ll feel like you’re shouting into a void. You’ll post and hear crickets. You’ll offer a program and get zero bites. I’ve had those weeks too—when nothing moved. But I kept going. And then, little by little, things started to click. Because consistency always pays off.

Right now, I’m switching up my ads again. Testing season’s done—now it’s about summer learning. Things shift throughout the year, and so should we. We’re not just business owners—we’re problem solvers. We show up when the need shows up.

And look, some people will grow faster than you. That’s okay. Don’t let someone’s highlight reel make you feel like you’re falling behind. This isn’t a race—it’s a build. So stay focused on your foundation.

This work isn’t just about tutoring. It’s about believing in yourself enough to keep going. Even when it’s slow. Even when it’s scary. You’re investing your time, your money, your energy. And that matters. That’s how things shift.

Joining The Teacher Project has been a truly transformative and empowering experience. As I increasingly became aware of the challenges and limitations within the traditional teaching system — from rigid structures to growing pressure on both teachers and students — I realized that it was time to explore new, innovative ways to teach. The Teacher Project provided the perfect platform for this transition, equipping me with not just the tools and strategies to succeed in the online teaching space, but also the mindset and confidence to embrace change. I sincerely applaud Coach Matthew Aldous for his exceptional commitment to staying the course with me, in navigating the online teaching experience.

The coaching experience, indeed has been exceptional. The coaches; and i have interacted with a couple, in addition to Coach Matthews, understand the natural anxieties that come with adopting a new teaching model: they meet us with patience, encouragement, and practical guidance. Their calm and supportive approach, even during stressful or uncertain moments, has been incredibly reassuring and has taught me not just how to succeed, but also how to manage stress, build resilience, and maintain a healthy work-life balance.

What I’ve enjoyed most is the strong sense of community within The Teacher Project. I’ve built a valuable network of peers and confidantes, gained confidence in connecting with the public, and sharpened my routines and mindset — becoming more organized, adaptable, and focused. These personal wins lay a strong foundation for when I begin teaching students, ensuring that I’m fully prepared to deliver impactful, engaging learning experiences.

Looking ahead, I’m genuinely excited to launch my online teaching journey. I’m eager to apply everything I’ve learned, create meaningful connections with students and parents, and help students achieve their academic goals. At the same time, I’m enthusiastic about continuing to grow and evolve as an educator, staying at the forefront of this dynamic and evolving educational landscape.

I am thrilled to be a member of Teacher Project (SOD). I was a bit skeptical at the beginning when I signed up. But after meeting my amazing coach Robert, my outlook of how I felt about the program changed. He is an awesome coach, very through, encouraging and helful. He is not only concerns about my wins but also about my well-being and my mental health which is key. I strongly recommend Teacher Project to anyone who wants to start a online tutoring business. The entire team is amazing. The tech support team is awesome. They are patient and will help you when you are stuck. Before I joined The Teacher Project, I was at a crossroads—passionate about education, but unsure how to transition from the classroom into a business that aligned with my personal goals. So far, one of my biggest accomplishments has been the transformation in my mindset. I’ve come to truly understand that anything worth having is going to come with its challenges—but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth it. Whenever I face obstacles, I take time to reflect on my "why." Remembering my purpose keeps me grounded and motivated. It’s an exciting journey, and I’m learning to embrace every part of it.

Looking ahead, I’m most excited about launching my own educational business—working with students from the comfort of my home, doing what I love, and watching their growth in real time. There’s nothing more fulfilling than seeing that “lightbulb” moment in a student’s eyes and knowing I played a part in it.

Lastly, the coaching experience has been incredibly enriching. My coach, Matt, has been phenomenal. His teaching style is thoughtful, detailed, and highly effective. He explains things with clarity and always offers support when needed. His guidance has been instrumental in my growth, and I’m truly grateful for his leadership throughout this journey.

Coach Rob is fantastic! He was very supportive and good at asking the right questions to get me moving in the right direction. I appreciated his insight and expertise in sales. Coach Zach has been incredible to work with! He has helped me navigate some pretty challenging technical and big picture issues! I remain motivated to move my tutoring business to groups now that my Google classroom issue has been resolved, thanks to Zach.
I love how prompt he is with responding to my messages! He also motivates me to push myself! He keeps me grounded which is very important to me as I work full time as a teacher still and am building this to replace my teaching income. I’ve managed to replace 1/4 of my income so far but have not given up my position yet. I see the light at the end of the tunnel though as my confidence grows to have those necessary conversations with parents. Zach encourages me to keep pushing forward focused on the big picture! I have been in the Teacher Project SOD programme for less than 2 weeks and it's been nothing short of amazing. I am learning so much about business, online teaching but also, a lot about my self! Ebony was amazing getting me super hyped and excited on day 1 and my coach Zach is incredible! Nothing is too much trouble and I can message him at any time (despite the time difference, he always responds!) I am really excited to continue my journey with coach Zach and everyone else. I would highly recommend this programme!

What has made this experience great so far for me is the supportive people that make up The Teacher Project. Everyone is there to see you win and to support you do the work so you can create a way of life where you are in control of how you teach. You are creating a structure on your terms, which is extremely exciting for teachers who are looking to get out of the current teaching models schools offer. Any question that I have had during this process so far has been attended to very promptly and with detail, providing clarity on exactly what is needed to be done moving forward. Strongly encourage anyone who is ready to create their own structure of teaching to be part of this incredible community!

I'ts only been a little over two weeks and I can't say enough positives about my experience with the Teacher Project. Behind the Scenes, In the Community, and Face to Face with My Coach, Hanford...they have streamlined the whole experience in a way you can't even imagine. My coach is not only knowledgeable but also is a natural leader with empathy, grace and patience. The learning is a lot but you are never alone. If your coach can't get right back to you, someone in the community will help you get to the next step. They really have thought this whole process through. Coach Zach has been holding my hand the whole way, giving me clear milestones to keep me moving in the first month. It hasn't been 30 days yet and I'm about to launch my first AD, which I'm very excited about! The program is filled with self-service resources to keep you moving any time of day or night. Also, love the concierge service where Zach responds via messages in what feels like real-time feedback.

I have had an extremely positive experience with the teacher project so far!.. my mentor Zach has helped me write my first video ad and has answered all my questions about the course!.. I really enjoy our calls that allows me to speak to other educators. I am looking forward to bringing other teachers to this wonderful teacher project.!!

Zach is an awesome coach--he gives targeted and tailored feedback and goes above and beyond to ensure I continue progressing at my speed. I've had a few small hiccups and Zach has helped me pivot and work through them so that I don't feel like I'm stalling, but getting things done each day.
