Nice place; shame about the food.
Nice restaurant and good service but disappointing food.
I wanted something light so from a very poor choice I ordered cod. It was edible but disappointing because it was, as I can only describe, soggy. It otherwise would have been an excellent piece. I don't know whether or not it has been frozen, but if were so then not allowing it time to dry a little would explain the sogginess. It is hard to think how else it could have been so. Also, the mushy peas seemed watered down and runny.
A point to look out for if you visit is that the steak ordered by two people was very highly seasoned for ordinary steak, without it being mentioned as “seasoned steak”. Another person had a so called Greek salad. Whether the chef has ever been to Greece but none of us had ever had salad like that in Greece and they never have been covered in balsamic vinegar as this was. Chefs should not add things that are unlikely to be expected from the description.
The Three Houses has changed hands many times. When that next happens I may try it again but not before.
