The Traveling Geographer has planned 2…

The Traveling Geographer has planned 2 trips for me. They were both amazing. They identified beautiful housing, easy to understand directions, support throughout the trip.
Their trips go the extra mile and get you off the beaten path, if that’s what you want. I saw places that were unique with gems to see. On the walled cities of Tuscany tour they created for me, we drove through the beautiful countryside of Italy and stopped at small and large cities that were full of amazing art.
I highly recommend them!!

Highly recommend. Super knowledgeable

We have used Katy and Gabri’s expertise for numerous trips in Italy. We have gone to see the northern wine region of Italy in Le Langhe, took a short trip to Rome as well as a longer one in the Aeolian Islands. Most recently (earlier in 2025) a trip to the Dolomites. They are incredibly knowledgeable about Italy (and frankly many parts of the world). For a lot of the trips, we didn’t do so much research on our own. Instead we gave them an idea of the things we like and what we don’t like to do during travels. They were able to use our very vague thoughts to customize some wonderful itineraries in all of the trips. Every traveler is different - this is not lost on these two. When we were not keen on a certain idea/activity, they moved past it and had several others waiting to be presented. They are knowledgeable, detailed, friendly and, above all, very passionate about Italy and people’s experience while visiting.
I would highly recommend their services.

Beautiful springtime Italy trip!

Katy and Gabri created a wonderful itinerary for my time along the western coast of Italy, specifically in the Cinque Terra region. I spent my time in Riomaggiore hiking the Sentiero dell'Infinito (Infinity Trail) which came with some absolutely stunning views of the coast. They also arranged for a boat tour of the Cinque Terra, starting in Riomaggiore and going north to Corniglia and Vernazza.

After a few days on the coast, their itinerary brought me north to Milan via Genoa, for a tour of some of Milan's amazing post-war architecture and delicious regional cuisine. They gave some really helpful advice on how to navigate the subway system, which made my stay in Milan much easier.

Overall, I loved my trip and absolutely want to return to explore this beautiful country again soon—this time, further south to Rome, Naples, or Sicily, and definitely with Katy and Gabri's guidance. Absolutely recommend their services to anyone looking for a more authentic experience of Italy.

Travel the undiscovered!

Katy and Gabri provide such detailed and tailor made trips to whatever your hearts desire. The amount of research and time they take to understand a place and then provide you with information of what you want is better than any AI tool you could use- because they also have personal experience in being there. I really appreciate how they focus on not the "most popular" or "insta-worthy" places, but rather on the history, nature and significance of where you are going. I always feel like I'm seeing places many people haven't ever heard of or known about but should- especially for Americans wanting to travel Europe. And these places honestly never fail to amaze my eyes. As an American who lived in Europe for 6 years, I have traveled a lot, especially around Europe. I have taken many trips with them and truly can't wait to book my next.

Family trip to southern Italy & Sicily in May/June 2025

Katy & Gabri consulted on our unforgettable family trip to southern Italy & Sicily. They were able to help us find off the beaten path gems like a mountaintop village to explore with a playground nearby in Basilicata. They gave great advice on enjoying the beaches at lidos and at free beach locations in Sicily. We especially enjoyed our boat tour in the Zingaro Nature Reserve that they suggested. Plus since they have a young child they were invaluable for answering questions related to traveling with a 2 yr old! I appreciated being able to bounce ideas off them and hear about the not to miss culinary delicacies in the area. So so grateful that these two discerning travelers were on our team!!
