Ordered after seeing advert on social media site on 21st October. Package shipped (allegedly) 1 week later. All good at that point I thought... 3rd December now and tracking status not been updated since shipping. Help at Work Alley responsive but have provided NO actual help to give me an update on expected delivery date. I would NOT TRUST this company again. They are NOT from UK and all orders are shipped from overseas - I doubt I'll ever get my order

Unfortunately it appears these guys are a scam. Chair took weeks and weeks to arrive. When it came it cannot be put together because the holes are not drilled in the correct places. Sent multiple emails and contacted on their ‘chat’ but have had no reply.
Scam
After three months still waiting for the desks and chairs I ordered. Also didn't receive the invoice they promised me within one week after ordering. Got 1 reply per month on my emails, requesting information about my order and invoices.

I ordered 2 items totally £265 on 11th October. Same as other negative reviews-I have not received the items and the company is not replying to my emails. Tracking says shipped from CHINA-and then mean to be via the Netherlands but it seems to be a scam as tracking is dodgy. They offered £20 off a next order with them. Who the hell is going to order from them again? BEWARE BEWARE DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!
Cheap rubbish
I bought an LED floor lamp. The quality is awful and looks very cheap. The return process is such a faff that I didn't even bother sending it back. Avoid this website and save your money.

The website is great and has some lovely products. The issue is when you order and it is touch and go what happens next. I ordered a desk, chair and laptop stand. Once ordered, for me there was no indication of when the order was coming, no estimate nothing.
The chair came quickly and it's a great chair, but still not had the other items and it's been since the 2nd November when the order was placed.
I did need the items quickly and have emailed but had no response.
I have requested a cancellation of the desk but no response as had to go elsewhere.
Would love some communication from them. Otherwise excellent products.
Disaster communication/logistics - but real products
They lied about warehouse locations, and this is unacceptable. I asked and they avoided saying China - indicating that they had European shipping warehouses.
After 2 weeks I asked about shipping confirmation and they gave me a shipping number. I told them that they were shipping to the wrong country. They fixed it in a few days.
After ~1,5 months my package arrived with the chair I had ordered. And to be honest the chair is as it should be. So if any of you haven't received anything yet - there's still hope!
HOWEVER - unacceptable communication, expectations, and delivery time. 2/5
SCAM - AVOID
I purchased a chair from the company on 1st October, with an estimated delivery of 5 working days.
It is now 10th November and despite endless attempts to contact the company I am yet to receive my chair, or a courtesy response.
Looking at the 5* reviews on here they seem to be computer generated (if you'll excuse the pun), all regarding a laptop stand.
This is a fake company, do not fall foul to their scam.
Pleased of Exmouth! My laptop bed table turned up today. I love it! Sorry about the bad review before
Having read these reviews I am now getting very worried. I ordered a laptop desk on Oct 30th with order no. WA15218. I checked on the track and trace Royal Mail site which said that the item was on its way. Tracking history

I assume that Theworkalley reads these reviews so I will now expect, as a previous reviewer has done, my order to be cancelled and my money returned to my account immediately

Poor customer service
I ordered a standing desk and it arrived 3 weeks later. There was a lot of shrink wrap/polystyrene packaging however the plastic pieces at the corners of the table top had snapped in transit causing the edges of the actual desk to be badly scuffed/ damaged. It also arrived missing a 'foot' part. I emailed them with photos and had a generic reply claiming that they were aware of a lack of communication with customers and didn't at all address my issues. I have sent three further emails with no reply. This is awful customer service, especially with the price I paid for the desk. I want an undamaged replacement table top and the missing part sent.

I ordered a chair on 6th October (it's now the 9th November). The tracking details are a total scam and possibly filled in by the company as they make no sense. They do eventually respond to emails just asking me to be patient and it insisting that the item will arrive.
Unreliable, Unresponsive, Misleading
I ordered an item on 28th of October and nothing has happened since, handling time is advised as 4-5 days on website (a surprise in itself when everything prior order had seems to indicate that this is a UK based company)
Emailed The Work Alley last week to get updates on my order still with no reply.
I have now emailed to request a cancellation and immediate and total refund for order #WA14862. Since it looks like the Work Alley only takes into account and replies to what is posted on here, here is my request for cancellation and refund.
Would not recommend and will definitely be much more careful in the future.

Edit 9 nov
Magically after posting on here The work Alley asked me to validate my claim on Trustpilot, shortly after I received an automatic email telling me my order has been shipped. No personal email of explanation and no acknowledgment of my request for cancel and refund. Considering the appaling customer service and the important number of reviews saying that getting provided with a tracking number is no guarantee of shipping and no guarantee of beeing shipped what you ordered, For Royal mail the tracking number is still unknown, indicating the parcel probably has not been shipped yet. I have little to hope for and I would rather get immediately refunded.

Edit 17th November
Following last update, the Work Alley has eventually been in touch, sending a few updates as confirmation that the package was on its way. The Royal mail tracking number was eventually working fine a few days later. I received the lamp I ordered today, given comments I was afraid of its quality being disappointing but I have to acknowledge it is just as advertised so its a relief. It’s unfortunate that the customer is made to feel as being fooled by a lack of authenticity/clarity on their location and on the expected time of delivery and by a really poor customer support service (personally I would probably still have gone for the lamp would I have fully known about leadtime and location but, if I had been told what to expect, I would not have been disappointed by the leadtime and lost trust in their company). I hear that the leadtime is in their FAQ, but this is not enough, for example when buying from China on eBay, the leadtime and provenance are clearly indicated, to me that feel like a better way to do it. While the product is satisfactory and the product range attractive, I will definitely not repeat the experience and I have advised my friends against it.
order?
I placed an order on 21/10/2021 (order number WA14216)
I have not received the goods yet and I am not receiving any response. they only sent me a tracking number that doesn't give me any validity.
I look forward to being contacted immediately

Pleasantly surprised after seeing all the bad reviews
By the look of a lot of the reviews here it seems your experience is dependent on what you order. I ordered a Glixie Clock about 10 days ago and it came this morning in perfect working order. After realising this shop is in China and seeing all of the other poor reviews I really didn’t expect anything to arrive but it did - and this price was an absolute bargain. My advice, pay with PayPal and avoid expensive and large items that are naturally tricky to ship.
THIS COMPANY IS IN CHINA
THIS COMPANY IS IN CHINA AND, ACCORDING TO CONSUMER ADVICE, YOU WILL NOT BE COVERED BY UK CONSUMER LAWS. I finally received my item (it was indeed coming from China, Royal Mail confirmed). It looked okay in the photographs, but is an Inferior design (once you actually use it). I emailed to request a refund and, when they eventually replied, said that they could not accept a return because of COVID 😮 (this was not jewellery or underwear, etc.). Poor customer service, NOT a pleasant experience. I will be much more vigilant in future to check unfamiliar websites thoroughly (and reviews!) and only buy from real UK companies. I had a look at some consumer protection sites and they advise not purchasing from Chinese companies, because UK consumer protection laws don’t apply to those transactions. I won’t be using this company again.
Oh dear!
Ordered a set of ladder shelves from these guys. At that time I had no idea that the firm was based in China. Had I known I might have thought twice given a very bad and costly recent experience with such a firm (check out my review on Dx!). It arrived promptly and well packed and all the components appear to be there. So far so good. The problem started when I tried to assemble the shelves as the sides, both of which are divided into two halves, simply would not fit together properly without literally applying brute force and hammering them together. This inevitably damaged the protective caps on the foot of the frame which will lead to my carpet getting damaged. I immediately pinged off an email as invited by the company to seek their advice and hopefully some guidance. Yep, you guessed it, NO reply. Still waiting. Still no usable shelving. Some appear to have had a good experience with this firm. Personally I would treat with care.
Postscript. Sometime after writing this review and having it verified by Trustpilot I received an email from The Work Alley with an apology and a full refund which has just been acknowledged in my PayPal account. The matter has now been successfully brought to a conclusion as far as I am concerned although I suspect it was the negative review which did the trick!
