Great packages, finally managed to cancel

Update - they now responded and gave dealt with the cancellation. Thank you.

Easy to start and reliable monthly orders BUT Cancelling is a problem!! They say you are in control of the account but you can’t cancel without sending an email that they seem to completely ignore.

Cancelling membership is very difficult - beware

Following their own protocol, I am attempting to cancel my membership via their email. Have now sent two emails, with no response. I changed the delivery address for the last shipment, it went to the old address. What is the point of their online only service if they don't follow their own procedures? I see that others have had to resort to cancelling their cards to affect cancellation of membership - this is not acceptable. I have no problem with the quality of their product, but their admin is truly appalling. My membership still isn't cancelled by the way.

Subscription for life

Really enjoyed the few months that I used Think Gin. I had a hiccup with DPD delivery and the customer service made sure I got a new box - this was only after multiple prompted emails asking for updates though. Just a few weeks later, I felt I needed to cancel my subscription due to financial reasons. No responses to any of my multiple emails. Have now had to completely cancel my card and go through my bills to update with a new card simply because they won’t follow the protocol they themselves set out on the website.

No care, no customer service .,...

Contacted as package arrived with tonic bottles smashed and items soaked. Wouldn’t refund but offered to send some replacements if I bought next months box. Terrible, declined and said I quit, they still took money next time and send will refund if I refuse delivery, I’m a key worker so am not at home. Unclear what they will do. No customer care, so many better companies out there. They are terrible if a problem, no effort to keep you happy.

Poor Value for Money.

Ordered our 1st box and was very dissatisfied. Gin was ok, nothing special 3 mixers again nothing special. The menu that came with the gin gave us beautiful cocktail ideas. Shame the ingredients or even mixers they suggested weren’t included. I feel
This is nothing more than a club for lazy shoppers. As for the price the say the contents of The order. They listed a FREE glass at £9. P&P at £8. We paid £40 and they say the order was worth £69. Takeaway those,it’s only worth £52. Bottle of gin, bag of popcorn and 3 mixers.

I wouldn’t recommend this club to anyone.

Hi Johann,
We're very disappointed that you feel this way about our club. However, we don't feel it truly reflects what we offer!

We are a Gin club that is all about beautiful small batch Craft Gin. We give our members a free gift every month free of charge, which is why you've got a glass in box one.

Unlike other gin clubs, we also only offer premium tonics, snacks, the gift and free courier delivery to your door.

As well as doing our dis-service to our club, you do a dis-service to our members with your comments.

Gin is okay

Gin is okay, The stated £55 value each month is questionable? Depends where you shop
Snacks etc okay
Info leaflet each month is Limited.
Trying to cancel or change membership is very difficult.
They do not Reply to Emails. Better customer service would enhance this offering.

Hi Ngaire, we're sorry that you've had this experience as a Think Gin Club member.
We pride ourselves on our price point, with the items of our box now worth £65 instead of the £55. Unlike other gin clubs, we offer gin that cannot easily be found on the high street.

We apologise that you have found it so hard to contact us and cancel your membership. We will make sure to take your comments on board and try and improve our service for members in the future.
Thanks, the Think Gin team

Do not use this club...

My wife is STILL trying to do the right thing and cancel her subscription as recommended on their FAQs. They completely ignore her requests and keep taking money. She has just now cancelled her card on her account and will instruct credit card company to refuse further payments. A very poor company. Don’t use. Craft Gin Club are superior in EVERY way...in gin and service.

Avoid Avoid Avoid

I had enjoyed a previous subscription with another gin company and loved it but decided to give Think Gin a go for a change. I ordered my 1st box for December and it arrived as expected. I was a little disappointed as a couple of bits were missing so I emailed and received no response. Over the next 4 weeks a further 2 payments then left my account and a further 2 boxes sent. I had subscribed to monthly so did not expect a further box until the end of January. 1 of these boxes had a dead insect inside the other had left over items that I’d already received in the previous box. I emailed them constantly during this time asking why I had been charged 3 times in a month and received 3 boxes when this was 3 months worth. Again I was ignored. I then decided to cancel and return to the original company I had used. As they have no contact number, I emailed again this time to cancel. After numerous more emails requesting to cancel they eventually replied with a dismissive response to my original contact as to why I had received so many boxes in a short time. They blamed Christmas and said it will now even out and you’ll receive 1 per month. I replied to say no I don’t want any more and wanted to cancel. It is now June and this company still attempt to take a payment at least 3 times every month. I have had to contact my bank to have the payments stopped. I get 3 emails every month to advise the payment failed and they will try again. I have continued to try to contact them and they continue to ignore me. Avoid Think Gin there are much better and more professionally run companies out there.

Think Gin?? THINK TWICE!!

Looking at getting Gin subscription??

Think twice about using Think Gin Club!!

Long story short-

After a lot of research back in April I decided to choose this company for a subscription! My first box arrived and I loved it- no issues!!

Fast forward 2 months and a change in personal circumstances, I 'paused' my subscription (after all- their website says you can quick and easy!) I even recieved an email saying it was paused and to let then know when I wanted another box.

A month later.... they took £40 out of my bank.
I quickly noticed and they refunded me.

Then- last week- I was expecting a couple of parcels, so when the delivery man came Imy husband accepted my parcel and opened it.
It was a box from Think Gin. One we werent expecting.
I emailed them, tweeted twice and finally got a reply 6 days later after messaging them on Facebook.

I explained the situation and that I had had to borrow money to pay my car insurance because I hadn't planned for them taking £40.

Their response was that because we accepted the parcel then there was nothing they could do- I should have refused the parcel from dpd.

Either way- THEY SHOULD NOT HAVE SENT IT IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!!

I have told them to remove me from any future boxes as I will not be ordering from them again!!

Think I will stick with @The CraLooking at getting Gin subscription??
